I think I get your drift though. Burial is different from entombment.
Burial connotes putting something under and covering up the thing, in this case, digging a hole in the ground and covering it up with sand. It explains the idiom to be six feet below.
A tomb on the other hand by construction is like a room/chamber to keep dead people.
Essentially, someone buried is under the earth while someone entombed is above/on earth, in a matter of speaking.
Lazarus was kept in a tomb but bound with grave cloths/ribbon if you like, Jesus was kept in a tomb too but covered with a white cloth but the Jews made sure the tomb was sealed tight with a stone that will prolly take a quarter of a legion or more to roll away while some centurion still kept watch over the tomb.
The significance of this difference between burial and entombment is that while a supposedly dead person should come alive, he cannot escape from the six feet of earth that has covered him, while someone entombed if not put in a casket can still survive if he for any reason comes back to life after allegedly pronounced dead.
Don't know the reason why muslims bury them rightt away...could wait a couple of days and in high profile cases such as Audu's, an autopsy carried out and then the dead man buried.
That should still be in order.
