LordReed: That is so sweet! Nothing like seeing them grow up.*falls down* what kinda question is that big brother? Am I so ancient? Type gini? Haba. My fakeness hasn't reached that level oh! How's today's break? Trust you had some time to nurse DD. Blessed new month to you and yours. |
Acidosis: hmmmn, okay mama, I won't disappoint youMe totally trust you sir. How was your day and the new month? |
Specialist900: Oh, no problems then. Next week hopefully. We're fine dear just hyper busy. How was the holiday today? Has your school resumed? |
Elantracey: Thanks mumHello ma'am. How are you doing? Hope you took time to rest. My own day was more than hectic but thank God for His grace and strength. Blessed new month |
Thankful today Lord for the progress on the workbooks we're writing and for the arrival of the exercise books. I nominate Luxanne |
Obinoscopy: Yes I do.Great. He speaks to us if we listen. He's the one to drawn the line between right and wrong on all matters. And of course He will never contradict the Scriptures. Whenever I come to a cross road and do not know what to do. I pause. I pray. I patiently wait till light floods my way. Just like we cannot walk in the dark physically, it's dangerous too to take any decision without clarity on what the mind of God is on that matter. We mustn't be in a hurry. We have to wait on Him when we are unsure about what step to take. He'll surely show up. And I hope you know that God has an opinion about evcerything you want to do/say/wear or everywhere you want to go/work/study etc. You are His child and He is concerned about the minutest detail of your life. '..even the very hairs of your head are all numbered...' |
Obinoscopy: I understand your fear for hot drinks. Lots of men have become slaves of alcohol/drugs, women and money. I'm glad I'm neither in any of them.Good evening sir. So sorry I left abruptly yesternight. Actually slept off. Thanks for all you did yesterday. Me is very grateful. How was your day? What's tomorrow gonna be like? Public holiday right? Any other plans? |
Acidosis:Why? |
Elantracey: I hear God clearly when an studying the word and sometimes he instructs my with visions but am looking forward to having daily conversation / fellowship with him.Morning sweets or should I say evening. How was your day? Tks for spending some of your time with me. Enjoyed everything bit of it. Hearing God is something that needs to be nurtured. The surest and safest way to hear Him is direct from His Word. However cultivating a daily communion with Him is so enriching and transforming. It requires a consciousness of the fact that He is ever present. Two, we must be very sensitive because as my lord would say, God is no noise maker. He doesn't shout. You've got to silence down distractions and eager yearn to hear from Him. The more you learn to discern His voice the easier and sweeter it becomes. |
Acidosis: ahaha... you can bite it, but do it softlyNo way dear. Me sweetheart has to bite hard so you can quit whatever misbehaviour it is immediately. Ok? Sorry in advance but I'm so hoping she'll not have to bite you because you'll make us proud. |
Acidosis:Amen and amen. How's today been sir? |
LordReed: I figured you've been very busy but doesn't stop us from missing you.Missed you all too. Melord and Debbie are blessed. For the past one week they've been going out together leaving me at home to do the typing. At least I get to concentrate till 2pm when they are back. Did I mention it to you that my sweetheart has started going to play class? You need to see her in her uniform looking sweet and cute. How's today sir? |
Elantracey: .True. At the same time, hearing God and discerning His will isn't that difficult. It just takes absolute surrender. There must be nothing in you that wants to have your way. You must be resolved that His way is the best and determined to go His way no matter the cost. Does God speak to you? How would you say you hear from God? |
Obinoscopy: Very nice question, I do meditate on this often. I know there are a lot of fetish stuffs in our tradition, but that doesn't mean everything about our tradition is fetish and diabolical. If it were, then our native language should be diabolical too. I think we should still observe our culture. Jesus parents ensure they observed the Jewish culture/tradition when he was born.True. I might not be in the best position to comment on this sha because I wasn't raised up with a lotta traditional stuff. I can even count the number of times I've been to my village. Definitely everything about our culture cannot be anti-christ. I think the underlining principle should be our consciences. There are many things the Bible doesn't give specific commands about but that's the place of the Holy Spirit and our consciences. Do you believe in the Holy Spirit? |
Elantracey: #word I know that God won't allow us to marry someone that's wrong but you know sometimes our flesh and circumstances could be deceiving and we end up going out of the course of God's plan.Truth. All God desires is truth in the inward parts. Sincerity. Don't hide anything from Him. Bare out your heart to Him. More importantly do whatsoever He says. You can't miss it. You won't miss it. I almost did too but the principle of sincerity and obedience delivered me. You must never be so carried away by your emotions and desires that you intentionally ignore God's instructions. We walk by faith not by sight. It takes carefulness, watchfulness and diligence. Our hearts easily sway so we must going back to the Lord to be sure we haven't drifted but are on the right track. |
Obinoscopy: I don't take wine to eade off stress. When I'm stressed, I take a very deep breadth and listen to soft inspirational music after which I doze off. I don't take wine when I'm moody or depressed. The Bible or any inspirational book I can find my hands on is what I read in those period. I take wine, the same way I take fruits (for the stomach sake ie health reasons)Yes he used to take it from childhood. That was his upbringing. His younger brother still drinks. I wasn't the one who stopped him though I would never have consented to marrying a man who drinks no matter how scantily. I fear hot drinks. The damage it's caused to homes and lives. He stopped taking palm wine when he gave his life to Christ many years before we met. I never knew alcoholic wine had some health benefits. Good if you're already prepared to sacrifice it should in case she says a no no. |
Elantracey: I won't call them troubles because there are times when you want to know a thing or two about someone then you'll start deliberating on what to ask , whether to ask and why you should even ask and before you know it you give up , its not cool at all .Very good sweets, that's where it begins. Also, all you desire in a man begin to consciously and prayefully imbibe them into your life and character. Most times we marry our kind. God won't carry His precious son to give to a child of the devil and vice versa. We reap what we sow. We attract our kind. Marriage doesn't change us overnight. We carry all of who we are as singles into marriage. |
Obinoscopy: True @bolded. However many men don't know this.Unfortunately. Let me give two samples. One, you are so tender with me here that I consciously and unconsciously relate with you very gently. Two, my lord. You need to know him to believe me. He is so gentle that he can be taken for a fool. Yet that's what melts my heart and restrains me from doing anything that'll hurt him. He's not just the kinda person that should be slighted. He just doesn't deserve it. |
Obinoscopy: Hmmm, good for you. If your Lord had been Igbo, you'd have been given palm wine to drink during ur trad weddingHmm. In his place they take it alot too. He used to take it alot too before his conversion. To what extent would you say our relationship with God should influence our adherence to traditional rites and rituals? |
Obinoscopy: I don't think I'm bound by it. I was never addicted to it. I only took it then during our after-exam party (in pharmacy school, we celebrate immediately after we conclude our professional exams which is usually once each year) and I take it in large qty then to prove my manly strength to my fellow guys. I can decide to sobre up for life from now henceforth but I still believe that a little wine is good for the stomach sake, as long as there's self-control. Self-control is a virtue I possess of which I'm grateful for.Hmm...glad you possess that. I so lack self-discipline. It's a huge issue for me but I'm learning from my lord who is so so controlled. You mentioned stomach's sake. Whatever does that mean? Me just think that some of those habits that have addictive tendencies should be done away with because just when we think we've mastered them they grow and master us. Many persons I've met said they drank to ease off some stress or struggle and to feel light. Not reaally met someone with your reason. |
Elantracey: wow , 16 is very young, I've had proposals before but they weren't serious . isn't really a problem dear. There are troubles you'll never get into unto my kinda person who over-asks.Have you started praying about your home? Hubby? Kids? Future? |
Obinoscopy: GentlewomanOk oh. I'll try. Hope you would beleive me sha. I've never had that 'privilege'. Don't know how it tastes or smells. Can't remember ever seeing palm wine. Not sure what it looks like |
Obinoscopy: Relax dear. Chai, I don't know if there's a word called "gentlewoman". If there is, then you are a perfect definition of the wordI wish...if you knew me before the Lord transformed me...in fact...let's just give Him all the praise for the refined me you now see. Btw, it takes a gentleman to bring out the 'gentility' in a lady. |
Elantracey:Okay dear. Me had my first proposal when I was 16 or so. And they kept coming till I got married two years ago. By His grace, I can humbly say He led me and I'm enjoying my home. If there is anything you want to ask or know, pls feel very free. |
So relieved by your response. Someone as great as you are shouldn't be bound by such stuff. Looking forward to hearing that youLve sobered up not just for months but for life! |
Obinoscopy: Wow, you've gone far. Nice!Tks for the elaborate response. Your slight delay had my heart racing. Thought I'd misfired. You're one person I mustn't offend or embarrass you know. |
Obinoscopy: hey...that moment when you're not sure if you haven't outstepped your boundary |
Acidosis: Thanks mamaYou're always welcome. Take good care of you and stay outta trouble okay? Blessings |
Specialist900: who I go tag o. My popularity don reduce here oDon't say that sir. So many peeps around here. Ok what about calling someone from our e-family |
ideology: Its full spelling of sir, actually I meant to write sure.Oh I see. Thanks for educating me jare. God bless your heart |
Elantracey: lol , mummy I won't but that's if he doesn't hold my mouth not to mention you oI knew I could trust you dear. Just bite his fingers if he tries covering your mouth from hollering my name. Me give you express permission. How was your day and those proposals? My sweetheart is a big girl now oh. We should do some mother-daughter talks oh whenever you're ready. |
does Dad drink? How long have you been drinking? When was the last time you got drunk? I'm sorry pls if this wasn't what you were expecting. Feel free to decline at any point sir |
