Alezy, I think that partying harms our walk with the Lord. Everything we do and we expose ourselves to either draws us closer to the Lord or pulls us away from Him. And partying is no exemption. You've got to consciously and critically examine functions (relationships, books, movies, music etc) before you participate or attend

Partying is like a get away. It presents an avenue to exhibit how excited I am at the moment. I can be excited and you'd either see me singing or dancing. Or talking or cracking a joke.

As per what gives me excitement in life: fulfilling a goal or a promise, meeting a target, putting smiles on people's face, helping someone, etc.

If I understand you to be a non Christian I wouldn't talk half as much as I am doing. It's a different game entirely for those who aren't in a walking relationship with the Lord. For Christians every bit of our life (online and offline) is affected by this relationship

We sometimes falter in some ways and in some situations, most times consciously and other times unconsciously. But we do have this sense of knowing what's right or wrong. We do know what constitute proper behavior and what doesn't. And also, what constitute a proper act is relative and is defined by things like beliefs. However, we all have a meeting point where we all agree on some of the things that constitute a proper act.

So as we live today, as we go out today, in our various workplace, in the office, school, wherever we find ourselves, even in the bus, meetings, parks, or anywhere, we should conduct ourselves properly, upholding professional ethics and values and civil culture. That was what informed my asking us to be responsible. Should we be irresponsible..............

Can we always trust and follow our impulses as Christians? Staying excited isn't bad. I see it more or less as happiness. An emotion that's controlled by happenings. As you rightly said, life has so many swings. Aside partying what else gives you some excitement in life?

The habit of procrastination has caused a lot of people troubles. It's being called the thief of time. No one can achieve an appreciable level of success in any endeavour if they remain slavish to this shameful habit. It's a habit I'm still struggling a bit. You know you have to do something meaningful and somehow you keep shifting the time forward. Sadly, we almost always procrastinate about meaningful targets.

We simply wished by procrastinating the problems or challenges would disappear. No way. They don't disappear; they simply keep waiting for us.

If we must succeed in life, then we must be prompt and decisive in pursuing our set targets. Procrastination is a habit for the poor and unfulfilled.

I'm almost on my way to Owerri this morning. I should have done this move months ago, but sadly I've been able to deceive myself into believing time was on my side. Time is not our friend. We must wake up at once and pursue our goals. Time is of the essence.

I solicit your prayers and we'll wishes as I embark on this unavoidable journey to Owerri this morning.
