Desire: How Bad Do You Want It?

A desire isn't a wish. A desire is wish plus action packed into one. We need a very strong desire to achieve anything meaningful in life. The distractions are numerous. The challenges ate countless. And till your desire for something becomes stronger than those challenges, your object will only remain a dream.

How bad do you want to learn that skill? How bad do you want that business to succeed?How bad do you want that job? How bad do you want that babe? How bad do you want that website to succeed?

Some of us just WANT something; we don't really DESIRE it. Desire gives a constancy of purpose that propels one to their goals in life. Has your goal deprived you of sleep? Has it deprived you of legitimate amusements? Has it deprived you of even your phone? Our phones can be a huge object of distraction! Has your desire affected your friendship? Has it impacted your lifestyle? If your desire hasn't altered any of the above, your dream will simply remain a dream. Desire feeds persistence!

Your desire for knowledge will seek to propel you to studying, listening and observing. It must create some change in your life. It must affect you! I so desired playing the piano that I had to wake very early in the morning, plug in my headphones, and tapped those keys. It wasn't fun. The lazy part of me wanted sleep. Only the poor spend long hours sleeping! I persisted and played and played it. That's the altering power of a burning desire.

I get so many revelations from God's Word I want to share but I dunno where. And I thought, why not start up a place where you can share ideas, Scriptures and build up your spiritual life with others??

I'd love us to share the things it has pleased God to reveal to us in our everyday lives. You never can tell, you may be a vessel for someone's blessing.

So we'll teach, learn, exhort, help, study, with the help of the Holy Spirit, of course. Daily.

I just didn't get it as people were sending condolences about. Now, I do. Hence no more at sea.

I'm in a worse sea now than before. It's really shocking and saddening when a couple go through 9 months of stress, sacrifice and pains, and then are greeted with sorrow and disappointment instead of celebration, congratulations and dancing. I'm at sea!

These are tough times; times that try to the limit the faith of people. Even the most fervent can experience depression, unbelief and confusion. But God has a double honour for any loss. That's the hope we have.

It's even more depressing as it's happening for the second time. Afflictions aren't supposed to rise a second time! There shall be recovery....
