PoliticsRe: ‘he Has Done His Bit’ — Adeboye Defends Tinubu Over Insecurity by highchief1: 3:13am On Jun 30
Ironfaceman:
Enoch Adeboye, general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has defended President Bola Tinubu against criticism over insecurity.

Speaking at the US-Nigeria faith heroes award gala organised by the Save Nigeria Group on June 23 in Washington, Adeboye said Tinubu has fulfilled his responsibility by directing the military and should not be expected to fight on the frontlines

“I need to make this one clear: I don’t support those who are accusing the president of not doing enough. When the commander-in-chief has given instructions to his subordinates, he has done his bit. You don’t expect him to go and put on khaki and (fight),” Adeboye said.

“When my friend Trump gives instructions to go and bomb anywhere, he doesn’t leave the White House. He has done his bit. ‘I hereby command, bomb Iran’, and then he goes to his bedroom and sleeps. The rest is left to the supporters.”

Adeboye said he stood by his position despite terrorism creeping closer to his doorstep.

“Things have gone far, far worse than before the bomb came,” he added, citing the US bombing on Islamist terrorists in Nigeria last December.

“Far, far worse… so bad that they are asking: ‘Where is your God?’ That is how bad it is.

'' The terrorism, kidnapping, and so on that were in the north are now even at my doorstep. They have come all the way down to the south. And, of course, the sponsors — they are all known, and they are still moving about freely.”

Adeboye said he discussed the country’s security crisis with Tinubu and Oluremi, the first lady, who is also an RCCG pastor.

He said he told the Nigerian leader to issue directives to military officers across the armed forces and set a 90-day ultimatum: “Wipe out this rubbish or resign. And then take care of the supporters, the sponsors”.

The RCCG overseer referred to the sponsors of terrorism as wealthy people.

You know them,” he said in reference to a separate public call to the presidency.

“Some of them are businessmen. Some of them are politicians. Go after them. Because if you do not deal with those who are supplying these people with arms and ammunition — and most of the time, when they go about, they go about on motorcycles — if we don’t go after the sponsors, the problem will continue.”

Adeboye urged the US to work with other countries to help Nigeria combat terrorism

NYSCRe: President Tinubu Approves A Comprehensive Reformation Of NYSC by highchief1: 3:07am On Jun 30
Olofofo247ng:
BREAKING: President Tinubu has approved the comprehensive reform of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), which will see the agency being led by a civilian in its operational leadership, while the military will continue to handle security for corps members across the country.

Tinubu also directed the Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, and the Minister of Youth, Ayodele Olawande, to amend the NYSC Act and its regulations to reflect all the approved reform measures, enabling immediate implementation of the new framework.

Some of the landmark reforms include:

1. A technology-driven call-up process.

2. Risk-sensitive deployment to better protect corps members.

3. A redesigned six-week orientation programme with a stronger focus on leadership, entrepreneurship, digital skills, and specialised career streams.

4. Skills-based primary assignments aligned with academic background and career pathways.

5. Modern governance with civilian operational leadership while the military continues to provide security support.

6. Improved camp standards through a national grading and certification system.

7. A new graduation ceremony to replace the Passing Out Parade, and a redesigned NYSC uniform that reflects professionalism and national pride.

BusinessRe: The World’s Top Billionaire Cities In 2026 - China Leads! by highchief1: 4:14pm On Jun 26
franchasofficia:
The world’s billionaire population is increasingly concentrated in a small group of global wealth hubs.

Using data from the Hurun Global Rich List 2026, this graphic ranks the cities with the most billionaires worldwide as of January 15, 2026.

While New York remains the world’s billionaire capital, Chinese cities dominate much of the leaderboard. More broadly, Asia accounts for the majority of billionaires across the cities shown, underscoring the region’s expanding influence on global wealth creation.

New York Remains the Global Billionaire Capital

New York remains the world’s billionaire capital with 146 billionaires, but the gap is narrowing. Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Beijing now rank second, third, and fourth globally, giving China three cities within striking distance of New York’s total.

The Big Apple’s dominance is supported by Wall Street, a deep pool of financial services firms, and a thriving ecosystem of private equity, real estate, and technology companies.

City Country Number of Billionaires
1 New York 🇺🇸 United States 146
2 Shenzhen 🇨🇳 China 132
3 Shanghai 🇨🇳 China 120
4 Beijing 🇨🇳 China 107
5 London 🇬🇧 United Kingdom 102
6 Mumbai 🇮🇳 India 95
7 Hong Kong 🇭🇰 China (SAR) 88
8 San Francisco 🇺🇸 United States 86
9 Moscow 🇷🇺 Russia 82
10 Hangzhou 🇨🇳 China 65
11 New Delhi 🇮🇳 India 64
12 Singapore 🇸🇬 Singapore 59
13 Taipei 🇹🇼 Taiwan 51
14 Paris 🇫🇷 France 44

Chinese Cities Dominate the Rankings
Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Beijing rank second, third, and fourth globally, with 132, 120, and 107 billionaires, respectively.

China’s presence extends well beyond its largest cities.

Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Suzhou, and Ningbo also appear among the world’s leading billionaire hubs.

Altogether, eight Chinese cities appear in the ranking, accounting for 34% of all billionaires represented.

Asia Emerges as the Center of Billionaire Growth

Asia accounts for 58% of billionaires across the cities shown, making it the dominant region in the ranking.

In addition to China’s strong showing, cities such as Mumbai, New Delhi, Singapore, Taipei, Bangkok, Seoul, Jakarta, and Tokyo all rank among the world’s top billionaire centers.

India’s presence is particularly notable, with Mumbai and New Delhi both placing in the global top 11.

Traditional Wealth Centers Still Matter

Despite Asia’s rise, several long-established wealth centers remain highly influential.

London ranks fifth globally with 102 billionaires, while Moscow, Paris, Milan, Stockholm, and Istanbul all feature prominently.

In North America, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Toronto, and Palm Beach continue to attract significant concentrations of wealth.

Meanwhile, Dubai’s inclusion reflects the Middle East’s growing role as a destination for entrepreneurs, investors, and high-net-worth individuals.

Now my personal question is; where is Africa? Where is Nigeria? What is our government doing wrongly with their policies because government policies matters a lot in how citizens of a nation succeeds in wealth creation and sustenance. Imagine every successive Nigerian government tends to become worst than the previous one in reducing Nigerian people's wealth and purchasing power? How can we change this sad situation and reposition Nigeria to compete among other prosperous nations? Lagos state alone ought to have at least 20 dollar billionaires in 2026. Nigerian government need to really sit up angry

What do you guys think?

Car TalkRe: Between 08 Camry And 2010 Corolla Sport by highchief1: 3:42pm On Jun 22
senator2k9:
Choose the 2008 Toyota Camry if:
You want a bigger, more comfortable car.
You frequently travel on highways.
You need more rear-seat and boot space.
You prefer a smoother ride and better sound insulation.
Pros: More comfort, more power, feels more premium.
Cons: Higher fuel consumption, slightly higher maintenance costs.
Choose the 2010 Toyota Corolla Sport if:
You want better fuel economy.
You mostly drive within Abuja city.
You want lower maintenance costs.
You want a newer model year with generally better resale value.
Pros: Very reliable, economical, cheaper to maintain.
Cons: Smaller cabin, less comfortable on long trips.
For your situation
Since you've previously mentioned owning a 4-cylinder Venza, I suspect you're already used to a practical and economical Toyota. If the Camry is a 4-cylinder and in excellent condition, it's a fantastic choice. However, if your priority is saving money on fuel and maintenance, the Corolla Sport is usually the smarter buy.
My ranking:
2010 Corolla Sport (if condition and mileage are good)
2008 Camry 4-cylinder
2008 Camry V6 (only if you specifically want more power)
The most important factor is not the model it's the car's condition. A well-maintained Camry is a better buy than a neglected Corolla, and vice versa.
What are the engine sizes, mileage, and whether they are Nigerian-used or Tokunbo? That would help me give a more accurate recommendation
una go just open una mouth waaaa.who told u Corolla is cheaper to maintain Tha Camry.I have used the two.one Corolla hub can buy the 4 Camry hub.Apart from fuel corola is an expensive car to maintain.ask any car part dealer to show u the prices of corola and Camry parts

The number of young people with grey hair in Nigeria these days is really alarming. Most times it’s not even genetics, it’s stress, pressure, and the kind of life many are living now. Back then, grey hair used to be something you see only with old age and wisdom, but nowadays plenty youths are already joining the “grey gang” early. Life just hard.
