Just go to a park where you can hire a truck/pick up(probably cabstar or toyota diana). Look for the one that can pack your properties at once. Then they'll tell you how much they'll charge you.

that's the best method l guess

Okay
Thank you, boss

This thread is very timely. I am a young man trying to build up my life. I base in Ibadan but I school at the University of Lagos. Lately, I have been thinking of moving to Lagos permanently instead of going and coming all the time but it seems houses are very expensive most especially around my school.

My budget is between 250k -300k(rent only). Which area will be suitable for me for this particular amount?

I am really happy right now. It took me almost a month to get this done.

Boss did you pass through Microverse or you just have ideals how things are done?

I have a personal question I want to ask.
boss, do you later go through Microverse?

I recently got a remote job that pays in dollars but the exchange rate on their payroll system is very low. What payment system do they use for you with people you are working for? Picture attached below

Let me encourage someone today. My story is what I don't wish anyone here. Since 2011 I have not had a reasonable job. None has paid me up to 100k. Got married 2014 still without a well paying job. It was tough. Was living on my wife's salary which was 60k at that time till it grew to 100k.
It was crazy. Two kids and no decent job. Pressure was on my wife and it was affecting our marriage.
Then God decided to "Have my time".
Last year while I was in the deepest state of lack and after relocating from where I use to live(after several advice to move out). One week after I moved to a new apartment, I got a call for a job that the recruiter said was just for a few months and they will be paying 50k.
I had no choice and when the company called, it was one the leading multinational company in the aviation industry.
I started the job and did my best to deliver. Created a good rapport with the staffs.
When I left, they called me again for another opening on contract.
Finally I have been called permanently to fill up an opening that I have zero experience in.
My salary almost half a million. It's just unbelievable. From zero to hero. I know no one. My colleagues still find it hard to believe I don't know anyone.
But I lied to them, because I know the one who can do all things. Jesus.
He did it for me o.
Each day when I enter the office, I keep saying, "Thank you Jesus". It can only be Him.
Please if you reading this, just believe. Like He did it for me, He will do yours.
Thank you for sharing your story sir and may God continue to bless you and your family.

Programming / Re: Hi Nairalanders, Please Advice Me.i Want To Defer My Program For Programming. by Hismercy20: 11:18pm On Jul 24, 2022

@Hismercy20

My personal advice is to defer your admission and continue with Microverse software development full-Time program. A Bachelors Degree can be gotten anytime you are ready again, surviving in Nigeria is very important. Do what you must do to increase your income. Dollar rates have increased exponentially, soon that 150k will not be enough. My advice for every Nigerian, whether in Tech, Accounting, HR or any career is to find foreign companies and earn in dollars. With Atiku or Tinubu been favourites to win this coming election, the economy is going to be in shambles in the next 8 years.
Thanks for your advice boss

I was in the same situation like you. I wanted to enroll for ALX one year scholarship programme a few weeks ago but when I noticed that I have to dedicate over 10 hours to it everyday, I backed out. I am in my penultimate year in the university and even if I can cope with the programme now that universities are on strike, I can't cope when school eventually resumes. I need to graduate from the university first before I can think about enrolling for ALX. For now I am learning programming from Harvard university and it doesn't require much time as ALX, and it's a 3 months programme but I have from now till December to complete it. You can figure out what you want to do from all I have said, it all depends on your priority
hmmmm.....Thank you so much for this.

I am a guy 26 years old. I came from a broken home and since age 19, I have been singlehandedly taking care of myself .it was a tough journey but all glory to my maker. I hold an OND accounting and am currently a sophomore student at the University of Lagos. I have a legit online business that's giving me at least 150k monthly and I have been doing this for the past 2years l. I also plan to settle down in 2year's time. All glory to Jesus.

So back to the main topic, I recently got accepted into the Microverse software development full-Time program and lectures take place from 8 am -5:15 pm so I have been thinking that if we resume anytime soon, I may not be able to concentrate on my studies.

Should I defer my program for this? Because I don’t want to graduate with nothing less than 2:1.By the way, the microverse program will last for 10months.Please advice.
