Alhamdulillah, Glory be to GOD Almighty On the 12th of March 2016 i was on dialysis session at a private hospital and was returned to LUTH where i was taking my treatments at night with ambulance. Today 12th of march 2024, I'm presently at work, still alive and even fasting in this holy month of Ramadan. I'm giving glory to GOD Almighty and I'm appreciating the Nigerian Health workers that took care of me at the General hospital (Lagos State University Teaching Hospital) and the private hospital (Dialyzer specialist at oshodi). IMPORTANT - KIDNEY DESERVES THE BEST. Ikekweremadu's daughter is currently battling with kidney disease which has led to his detention on the UK while trying to help her daughter get a kidney donor. Barely few days ago, we all received the news of the demise of the Nigerian actor as a result of kidney disease. ALSO OUR MINISTER OF PUBLIC WORKS, the Honorable Teko Lake is currently in the Hospital on life support with Kidney problems. I want to show you how to avert this menace of kidney disease. SO HERE ARE THE TOP 6 CAUSES OF KIDNEY DISEASE: 1. Delaying going to a toilet. Keeping your urine in your bladder for too long is a bad idea. A full bladder can cause bladder damage. The urine that stays in the bladder multiplies bacteria quickly. Once the urine refluxes back to the ureter and kidneys, the toxic substances can result in kidney infections, then urinary tract infections, and then nephritis, and even uremia. When nature calls – do it as soon as possible. 2. Eating too much salt. You should eat no more than 5.8 grams of salt daily. 3. Eating too much meat. Too much protein in your diet is harmful for your kidneys. Protein digestion produces ammonia – a toxin that is very destructive to your kidneys. More meat equals more kidney damage. 4. Drinking too much caffeine. Caffeine is a component of many sodas and soft drinks. It raises your blood pressure and your kidneys start suffering. So you should cut down the amount of coke you drink daily. 5. Not drinking water. Our kidneys should be hydrated properly to perform their functions well. If we don’t drink enough, the toxins can start accumulating in the blood, as there isn’t enough fluid to drain them through the kidneys. Drink more than 10 glasses of water daily. There is an easy way to check if you are drinking enough water: look at the color of your urine; the lighter the color, the better. 6. Late treatment . Treat all your health problems properly and have your health checked regularly. Let's help ourselves...God will protect you and your family from every disease this year. 1 Like 1 Share |

Lasthope543: I'm not diabetic so i eat rice, egg, garri (Eba), Amala, semo, Bread, yam, spaghetti, fufu, snacks(i do avoid wheat), cassava, maize and fruits such as apple, cucumber, coconut, pawpaw, dates, and i also takes little milk not much as it may cause the kidney to overwork to eliminate the buildup of waste in the body. Avoid banana, watermelon, yogurt, full-cream milk, caffeinated drink or food, high protein food or drink, high sodium or salty food or drink, high phosphorus and potassium food or drink and avoid beans and any food made with beans. Drink lots of water unless advised by the doctor to reduce your fluid intake. This really help me a lot as i avoided salt for over 3 years. |

pators: Lol After playing old videos of people traveling abroad, eating chicken, displaying one time old cheque then several liers will be coming to the stage giving fake testimonies with cooked stories of how they make fake millions of naira on a monthly basis in the cause of trying to brainwash you into selling expensive drugs to Nigerians and bringing all your relatives or nonrelative to do the same without guaranteed monthly earnings. Please run for your life Ooo |

I really appreciate this. I was invited for an interview via mail but the mail was quite confusing. I noticed a mixed up of words i.e interview and business chat, and I was told that I will become An Employpreneur so I begin to suspect that it might be GNLD and decided to check online. Let me tell you! GNLD in Africa is a crap and time wasting scheme. I have done GNLD for almost 4 years and I must confess to you that GNLD is real and promises so many good things if you and your team can sell their expensive drugs and meet up with some certain points to attain levels where you will receive incentive and bonus but the scheme doesn't work in Africa and it's a total waste of time. Please, don't say that you want to give it a try because you will end up wasting your time after severe brainwash. A time wasted is a life wasted. Emmyxclusive: 1 Like |

Majority of Renal patient who die after few days of their illness was due to some fact. I'm not a doctor or medical practitioner, a scientist or a researcher in fact I'm not a science student but this my sickness made me do research about kidney and kidney disease. The killer of Renal patient are: 1. High blood pressure or hypertension. Many renal patient dies as a result of hypertension which is mostly the results of overthinking. Some persons believe that kidney disease is a death sentence and begin to give up on themselves whereas it's not the end. 2. High blood sugar or diabetes. Diabetes is another sickness that can cause kidney disease and can worsen it. So diabetes patient should be more careful and take their medication and avoid some certain foods and drinks. 3. Low blood or Anaemia. Many patients die due to this fact too as low blood can make the kidney to overwork and cause shortness of breath and fatigue. This was my case and maintaining it can be very expensive especially for poor Nigerians like myself. 4. Poor feeding or Eating food that will create more waste in the body. Some foods are healthy but not for kidney patients. These kind of food will create lots of waste build up in the blood which is to be eliminated by the kidney but since the kidney can perform little or no filtration function, waste and water buildup in the body will lead to other sickness and can block the lungs and cause suffocation which can lead to death. These four keys must be considered and well observed. Lack of information too is another killer. I'm sharing this information to help other patients who are in my shoes. But don't forget that I'm not a doctor or medical practitioner. The advise of the doctor is paramount. Thanks 3 Likes 1 Share |

vanvick247: Of course yes. Not far from the hospital. Always have my check up every 3 to 4 months. Sincerely, I don't take any medication for now and I don't take drug except prescribed by doctor. Gone are the days that I take iron sucrose and erythropoietin weekly and it's very expensive. |

DisLifeSha: You need to take good care and be watchful of what you eat and check your blood sugar level regularly. Kidney Disease is really terrible and the combination of the two is highly risky. You are at a risk of CKD as a type 1 diabetic patient. |

tundeshola: My brother, you need to be in the hospital if you are telling the truth about your health condition. Call your family members when you get to the hospital. I'm not different from you in fact i have no android phone during my own sickness period. I will advise you to go to the hospital first and begin to seek help. May GOD heal you. |

eduj: I do bro! My health is my priority now. I need to manage it well since I don't have the millions of naira for transplant and I don't have extra life. I checked my kidney filtration rate from time to time by observing some tests such as creatinine, BUN and PCV level. 2 Likes |

Seaseason07: You are safe provided you are balancing your diet but sincerely renal patient must avoid herb because it contains chemical and minerals which the damaged kidney might not be able to eliminate from the body. I'm not faulting Herb tho just my pure advise and don't forget that I'm not a health worker or medical doctor but just an experienced fellow. |

frog12: Anaemia i think. I got two sessions of dialysis. Although I was advised to come for another one after my second dialysis but there was no fund to pay then but I tried as much to quit salt intake immediately and avoid foods that will cause more waste build up in my blood so as to avoid dialysis. Anyone can completely come out of dialysis depending on the stage of the kidney damage or filtration rate. |
