Nigeria’s Daily Independent has published a list of what some of the biggest musicians in Nigeria make per concert. There have been a few similar kinds of lists cropping up in recent weeks (like who earns the most from endorsements, and who just makes the most).

Senator Ben Murray Bruce in a series of tweets shared via his Twitter page spoke about how the President, Muhammadu Buhari, should get busy doing his job instead of blaming his predecessors over the poor state of how he met the country.
He also explained that the President has spent 1/8 of his 4-year-tenure in office and should quickly get to doing his job instead of ascribing blames on his predecessors.

President Muhammadu Buhari has on Friday in New Delhi, capital of India, gave hints on the shape of his cabinet, saying the country would be lucky if his administration is able to have half the number (21) of the 42 ministers that operated under the last administration.

He said he only sent names of 36 ministerial nominees to the Senate for confirmation because the constitution stipulates that each state of the federation must have representatives in his cabinet.

Speaking with pressmen, he said some of the ministerial nominees will end up “sitting” in federal executive council sessions rather emerging substantive ministers, lamenting the state of the economy, he said the government is broke.

Starboy Wizkid has reacted to allegations he canceled an N8.9m school show at the last minute..The star was really on fire earlier in the week as so many people abused him on social media for allegedly cancelling a show with American University of Nigeria in Adamawa State.

A twitter user alleged that the singer had collected N8.9m from the organisers of the show only for him (Wizzy) to cancel it at the last minute.

Reacting to the allegation, the singer made it known that he was not happy about the way his image is being tarnished.

He explained to Saturday Beats that he did not cancel the show. He said the organisers of the event were not “forthcoming” when he gave them the option to choose a date.He said

“What really happened was that they were talking to me about an event in their school and the first date they chose was already booked. They asked for dates that I would be available and I gave them various options and they chose November 21, 2015. After choosing the date, I sent them a contract and after that they did not get back to me until someone else booked and paid for the date.

The Prime Minister of Egypt, Sharif Ismail has announced that a Russian passenger plane carrying over 200 people crashed in the Sinai Peninsula.

According to reports in Russian media, the pilot had reportedly been radioing for the nearest airport for a landing before all contact had been lost.

The plane was heading for St. Petersburg, Russia, after leaving the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
