The standard practice world wide is that any one who quotes from a source, should quite the source.
From what I understand....she isn't saying that they should not use, quote, reference, copy, borrow, utilize her work.
She is only saying...(as rightly should be said), that reference is pointed out to her work.

my problem isnt what she is claiming, my problem is that where is the proof they copied her work. she just assumed since they came from her school that her work was copied.

Now she didn't even ask or make any inquiries she just demanded right of the bat that she be referenced and threatened with legal action right from the first post. If that isnt anti progressive I really don't know what is.

Even if it did happen that your work was referenced. The guys behind it are junior to you academically there is no harm in reaching out and correcting them about not referencing you and even further providing more help to make the project a successful one. There are ways to do things but trying to bring someone else down isn't one of those ways.

I repeat there is no proof your work was copied, the only proof you present is that you did it in the past. what if your predecessors actually come out to say you copied them as well, or was the the only one in the history of the entire school to do this project?

I see they intend taking data from my thesis without referencing me.
I did this as my thesis for Msc (Igbo), my colleague did for hausa and yoruba.
"A front end machine to man communication system in Igbo language using text to speech synthesis, concatenation algorithms".
We expect that they reference us else they should be ready to go to court as we're taking it further for research in our PHD where we develop both the front and back end.

We where supervised by Prof Ibiyemi.

Even if you thesis was used (which I strongly doubt is the case), shouldn't you be happy someone took the liberty of bringing it to life instead of letting it fade away on a shelf somewhere. Enano2baba: Unilorin's first list isn't entirely based on merits. Few pple are admitted on merit. Odas are admitted on leg and catchment area. Cos some of yu ad gud scores and were in d first list doesn't mean d first list is entirely merit. Dere re some dat shouldn't b dere nd re dere nd dere re some dat should b dere and aren't dere. If u think yu shuld b on merit list nd yu were nt dere, wat I think yu shuld do is chill, pray nd hope you are on d second list.

Just because some pple didn't get also doesn't mean it isn't on merit. If they are to admit all merit on first list, there would be no second or third list. Fine I'm not saying it is entirely based on merit, but I'm definately sure abt 80% is on merit. Most guys in my class that made first list are on merit I'm sure of that. Just because someone you know wasn't admitted on merit instantly doesn't mean they won't be eventually. Keep the faith

bro i am a living proof that unilorin uses merit, i am a direct entry student, just got admitted last year. i had distinction and did ok on post utme. i didn't use the so called leg and i got admitted in the first list, probably the first day they began sending text messages, i know of about two pple in my class ryt now that where admitted on same criteria. i dont know about second list o, but first list is always on merit
