Jobs/VacanciesRe: NNPC Aptitude Test On December 6, 2014 by horseballs(m): 2:45pm On Feb 19, 2015
SomBaby:
Good day folks...congrats to me and all dat ve gotten d sms and congrats in advance to those still in the pipeline..
This is not yet d end but d beginning of the end...got dis from naija hotjobs and tot I shld share and not be selfish...
firstly, NNPC recruitment in based on quota system. Almost equal number of applicants will be taken from all the states and FCT. This implies that you are competing against people from your state. And this will in turn go down to LGA by LGA.So if you have a family member or a cousin in the race it means u are virtually fighting for one slot.
Under this system situations arises where a Candidate from State A with 50% score in the interview will be employed while a candidate from State B with 80% score might not be employed. So those of you from educationally developed states should brace up for the challenge.I am sure you know those states
What to equip yourself with:
When NNPC was established and under what decree
NNPC's Core Businesses
NNPC Subsidiaries and their operational functions
The Refineries and their various Refining capacities
Which of the NNPC subsidiaries u'll like to work with and why?
Why do you want to work with the NNPC.
Why do you want to work in the Oil industry
Why do you want to leave your former place of work(if you are already working)
Where do you hope to be in 10years time?
Understand your discipline and how you can apply it in the oil industry
Know the name of the current and immediate past GMD
Expect that you’ll be asked atleast one basic question about your discipline
Know where the head quarters of each of the Subsidiaries are located say Benin, Warri, Lagos etc.
Research the operations of the Subsidiaries so you’ll know which one you can fit in.(I am currently working with the subsidiary I mentioned during my interview so take your time to research, though it does not totally follow)
Look smart and composed. It’s usually a friendly interview and note that your line of discussion will mostly go in line with your responses so be sure of what to say. But please don’t be too confident else you’ll sound arrogant.
I’m speaking from experience. The above where questions asked me and some of my colleagues who I am working with now. So expect most of the questions to come from them.
Know that NNPC will not take everybody.
Best of God. I hope to meet you as colleagues soon.
So. Pls read and share and most importantly, prepare well...
Cngrats to us once more...
Thank You So Much.
Car TalkRe: Camry 99 Thermostat Removal by horseballs(m): 3:39pm On Jul 24, 2013
I drive a 2001 Honda Accord, 3.0 litre and v6 engine. I purchased that car because I was made to understand Honda cars don't consume much fuel. by the advice of my mechanic i removed the thermostat of the car the week i started driving it because i noticed the temperature gage was always high (clearly i was ignorant of the fact that it should be at the middle stroke). Because of the fact that I removed the thermostat very early I dont even know if the car is fuel efficient going by the fact that i blow 10litres of fuel (0ne thousand naira fuel) to and fro every journey to victoria Island from my neighborhood in isolo. I complained to my mechanic that 10 litres of fuel was too much for such a journey but he said it was okay due to the fact the engine is a V6, with this, i stopped complaining. now i cant take it anymore after reading all these comments here. Infact when the thermostat was removed my radiator fan was set to blow constantly. chai!
Now my question is can I go back and replace the thermostat even though i fear my car will overheat as the temperature was usually a bit above the middle mark when i purchased the car?
second question is what effect does an exhaust port catalyst have on a car. I recently found out mine is missing but as usual my mechanic says i should ignore it since my car is running normal without noise or whatsoever.
Can someone please recommend a good mechanic to me and answer all these questions.
Urgent Help needed!

I bet you still throw twins into the evil forest once they are born. village girl. grin
@ bee444 i do understand your point, their some unnecessary expositions we see on some of our movies these days and it should be curtailed to foster better thought and growth.
