PhonesInfinix Note 2 X600 (the Big 6) Vs. Tecno Camon C8 Vs. Innjoo Max 2 Plus by Hotdivaa(op):
Infinix, Tecno, and Innjoo are few brands that have been stealing headlines around the low-end smartphones market in Nigeria and across Africa. They didn’t get there because they produced the best smartphones in the market today nor the finest ones, but by producing lots of affordable smartphones with outstanding features at the same time. With the recent launch of the Phantom 5 by Tecno, many were left wondering if Tecno is quitely drifting from mid-range phones to high-end smartphones, Nevertheless, they still have lots of budget smartphones like the Camon 8 still competing in the low end market. PhonesMeet The Chinese Smartphone With A Whopping 9,000 Mah Battery! by Hotdivaa(op): 3:59pm On Nov 20, 2015
Being fair enough, it looks like they actually glued the front of a modest android phone on to a beefy power bank but still - it's the thought that counts. The device, called EX1 has a 4.5-inch display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage and is powered by an undisclosed quad-core processor. The main camera is 8MP with an LED flash and it also has 2MP on the front.

But, before you rush to place your order, you might want to consider if you you are into really baggy pants that can hold what appears to be a 14 or 15 mm thick body. By the way, if you plan on getting lost in the woods, the EX1 could come in handy, but then again, so would an extra power bank in your bag coupled with a more contemporary handset that at least gives you decent enough coverage and GPS to navigate yourself out of trouble.

PhonesWait!, An LG Android Smartphone For Less Than $10? by Hotdivaa(op): 10:37pm On Nov 16, 2015
An Android-powered smartphone carrying a price tag of just $9.82 has been spotted listed on Walmart's website (yes, you read it right - an Android phone for under $10). Listed asTracFone LG Prepaid Lucky LG16, the device is currently out of stock.

Specs-wise, the handset is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU and sports a 3.8-inch display. It comes with 4GB internal memory (that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card) and a 3MP camera, offers 3G and Bluetooth (v4.0) capabilities, and runs Android 4.4 (KitKat) out-of-the-box.

Those specs might not sound impressive, but considering the price tag attached to them, the smartphone does look like - as the sole reviewer says - "a steal."

PhonesCyanogen To Bring $75 Phones With Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Coming Next Year by Hotdivaa(op): 9:29am On Nov 14, 2015
Cyanogen Inc. aims to pick up the ball that Android One dropped. Google's initiative for low-cost smartphones for developing markets underwent several changes and reportedly, it no longer lives up to its original mission.

Cyanogen is working with multiple OEMs to develop a number of $75 devices targeting several markets. They promise high performance on inexpensive hardware by keeping software bloat at bay.

The phones will run CyanogenOS 13, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It will come out early next year, while the ROM version (CyanogenMod 13) will be out sooner – by the end of this year or in early 2016.

The Cyanogen team will see these devices through several major Android versions, a promise also made by Android One phones.

PhonesIs Blackberry Now Fully Diverting To Android? Another Android Blackberry VIENNA by Hotdivaa(op): 12:34pm On Nov 13, 2015
A traditional bar phone with an always-available physical QWERTY keyboard, Vienna can be described as a stretched-up Classic. Or a narrowed-down Passport. Hence, no longer a square display as on these two - the device adopts a (still-irregular by smartphone standards) 3:2 screen, aiming to strike a reasonable compromise between display proportions and overall dimensions, while fitting the revered keyboard.

On the back, aside from the BlackBerry logo, a fine textured pattern can be spotted, resembling the one on the Leap. Similar to it, the back cover is unlikely to be removable, as indicated by what appears to be a card slot on the left side.

So far, that's all that's been revealed on the alleged Vienna, and it's not much. It may very well be an artist's vision of a possible BlackBerry handset, instead of an actual early design. And with the company's device future largely hanging on the Priv's market success, it's not entirely impossible that even if it is the real thing, the Vienna may not get to see the light of day.

PhonesVideo: The Bluboo Xtouch Smartphone Survives The Hammer Test Twice! by Hotdivaa(op): 12:05pm On Nov 13, 2015
Coming with a Gorilla Glass 3 technology, the manufacturers of Bluboo added some extra protection for the screen which would make it hard to break. This extra protection came in the form of an additional .55mm of the Gorilla Glass. To demonstrate the hardness, a concrete slab was gotten and placed over the device, face up. The slab was then struck with enough force to break the slab into two and impact the screen below but your guess is as good as theirs when the put up this demonstration – the glass failed to break.

Soft drink outfit PepsiCo is out to make history again. This time, the United States beverages maker isn’t going to release one more flavor of Pepsi Cola, instead, it’s working on a smartphone (yes, you heard that right: smartphone) that will break cover this October.

Pepsi P1, as sources in China revealed to Mobipicker will get launched next Tuesday on October 20th. The price tag of the smartphone hasn’t been revealed but nearly the full specs details and some pictures have been discovered at TEENA’s website (TEENA is just like the Chinese version of the FCC).

Pepsi-P1-TEENA

The P1, according to the listing on the TEENA website, will be packing a phablet-sized 5.5-inch screen with 1080p resolution. The handset will be powered by a MediaTek MT6592 SoC clubbed with a 1.7GHz octa-core Cortex-A7 CPU, Mali 450-MP4 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The device will pack 16GB of expandable storage as well as a 3000mAh battery while the software department will be powered by Android 5.1 OS.

Coming to the camera segment, the Pepsi smartphone (as awkward as it sounds) will use a 13-megapixel rear shooter equipped with a LED flash while the front side is adorned by a 5MP selfie taker. The handset appears to be having a rear-facing fingerprint sensor as well.

The Pepsi P1 is quoted to be carrying a CNY 1,299 (roughly $205) that is about N40,800 in Nigeria, price tag by unofficial sources. Kindly stay tuned for more information. Like our FanPage to stay up to date.

it's stupid to stuff 6g of ram into a smartphone.

for what?

the only value it will to the phone is increased in price. nothing more. Most configurations of laptops do very okay with 4 gig. So why 6 gig on a phone? At most, 4 gig is enough.

I'm sure what comes to your mind when you hear LeTV for the first time is a television manufacturing company, Sincerely speaking one will easily pass “LeTV” as a television brand but no, it’s not. LeTV is a popular online video outfit in China and apart from producing videos, the company also makes smartphones.

Back in April, LeTV Chief Operating Office Liang Jun asked people to name a smartphone that comes with smaller side bezels than his company’s flagship LeTV Max. He even offered a $1 million cheque to anyone who could forward a phone that beats the razor sharp side bezels on the LeTV Max in thinness. Till date, nobody was able to claim Jun’s incentive.

LeTV is back in the news again. The OEM is reportedly trying to stuff 6GB of RAM into a smartphone it will release in the first quarter of 2016. The smartphone is said to be the sequel to the LeTV Max so could possibly break cover as the LeTV Max 2.

The supposed LeTV Max 2 will also carry a 5.7″ display with 1440p resolution. A camera unit with Sony’s IMX300 23MP sensor and f/2.0 aperture will be in tow as well. The phone’s back will be covered in glass and we are being told that the side bezels will be lesser than the 1.6mm thickness the LeLV Max offers.

With that being said, do you see yourself buying a phone with 6GB RAM in 2016? Leave you comment below.
