TV/MoviesRe: GOTV Forcing Christianity On Nigerian Muslims - MURIC by Housing(m): 3:18pm On Nov 30, 2024
dominique:
I may not always agree with MURIC but I'm with them on this one. I suddenly noticed that instead of the GOTV decoder tuning into channel 1 which is their default channel, it switches to channel 100 a Christian channel. They've made the Christian channel their default channel now and you can't miss it once your decoder turns on. This is completely unfair to non Christians, if I was a Christian I'd be just as annoyed. They operate in a multi religious country yet they're forcing a particular religion on the people. They're still lamenting decline in subscribers, they've not seen anything yet. I've kukuma ditched their DSTV over a year ago, now it's time to ditch their GoTV and focus on smart TV fully. Na data e go cost me

Imagine you turn on your decoder and it takes you straight to a Muslim channel instead of the default channel where they advertise their channels and programs. Won't there be a national outcry of Islamisation IMMEDIATELY? It's been over 3 months now that GOTV has set their decoder to tune into a Christian channel once you turn it on and MURIC is just reacting yet Muslims are the intolerant ones.
THANK YOU

Olumegbon family have shown proof of collecting land rents in Ajah as far back as 1930s. They have court judgment supporting it. For the fact that they allowed settlers to be Baale in the past doesn't cancel their ownership of the Land. I am from Ikorodu and I have family that are related to Ajah from Ikorodu as they farm there in the olden days. My lineage are qualify for the Oba stool in Langbasa.

grin grin. I knew you'd pull this out from Wikipedia which anyone can put up there , Including you and I. So, if I call Magodo (a yoruba word, meaning do not pound that morter) another name on Wikipedia tomorrow, you'd also go there and dig it out abi?

Akeja is different from Ikeja. Akeja is in ota, a small community after the lagos boundary with ogun, after crossing that bridge. That's akeja town which is different from Ikeja.

There's something which we always do as human. We like to distort history even though it is irrelevant in the present day generation. I heard the other day when someone said Ikeja is an abbreviation of Ikorodu and epe blablala. I think it's been removed by same blogger who put it there. This isn't peculiar to us. Arabs also do this a lot. Imagine them saying they own Egypt despite the obvious. Thank God for those mummies they exhumed which proved them wrong. Early egyptians were blacks. Otoman turks came and wiped them off for worshipping idols after alexander invasion
from greece and settled there with his people and procreated for centuries, his people stayed and were enthroning themselves. Imagine apartheid was never stopped in south africa. In 1000 years to come, the whites in that era would lay claim on that country cos blacks would have been wiped out completely

The fact that Lagos is our land and nobody can take it away does not mean we shouldn't give credit to the early settlers. It's just like ijaw saying ęsę odo is an ijaw land . Wouldn't that be a white lie? That the ilajes occupy a LGA in Ondo doesn't change the fact that it's still an Ondo land and a yoruba territory by extension.

Try and be visiting museums once in a while maybe during your annual leave. You'd know a lot of history about people and territories they occupy in yorubaland. I was shocked the day I saw the old map of Lagos Island. That was the only place known as lagos in that era by the colonialists. All the bini names on that map have disappeared today. It was the colonialists who compiled them. It was in that book I learnt the only road that entered lagos was from abeokuta down to ota-orile agege, etc down to Iddo and eko, just a tiny footpath.

Imagine some people coining the meaning of eko? Till tomorrow, ask any edo person where he or she is going , they'd tell you Eko. They don't know here as lagos, na oyinbo name am lagos. Eko, idugaran, idumota, idumagbo, etc are edo words and are on that map. Iga means compound in bini. When next I visit again, I'd snap those pages and upload it here. Even where they used to bury lagos obas in Benin and the reason behind that practice until it was stopped. Oba akiolu once told this truth and some people got angry but history can't lie. The erelu of lagos too was verbally attacked, why?

Above all these, it's still our land but we need to always give credit to whom it's due. Do you know that, had the edos not settled here , lagos might not have been possibly discovered till today cos nothing was happening here than fishing about 700 years ago. The edos came and settled here. Seashore was the fastest route to bini in those days.

Before I conclude on issues like history, I read widely and consult widely. I also reason. After Edo it's awori people who can claim here by ownership cos a vast part of the mainland is owned by them.
Iga is an Ijebu word for palace. Same thing as Iganran. Idu means stand, points in Ijebu dialect. Iganran means pepper. Idugaran means pepper stands/point. Same with Oju-Olobun. Obun means market in Ijebu dialect. The traditional and cultural identities of Lagos Island can be traced mostly to Ijebu and Awori. Oba of Lagos was the only throne in South West without its own land. Kosoko stopped his rule from reaching Ereko which is less than 3km from his Palace. Likewise Oloto of Iddo controls Iddo.

Olumogbon should be from the Oba of Lagos bini decedent.

The Balee of Ajah should the mixture of Ilaje, Awori and Tapa decedent of Ajah

Although Olumogbon is of Awori White cap chief origin of Lagos island.

The fight is to determine whether the original Kingdom of Eko extended to Ajah area of Lagos.

So it's purely a family affair.
Stop dabbling into what you know nothing about. Olumegbon had nothing to do with Benin. Olumegbon is purely an Awori and the head of Idejo.

While Ajah belongs to mixtures of Awori and Ijebu. Tapa has no land in Ajah

Since the said staff claimed network failure, the company should accept that on the face value and hold on to the receipt if the Secretary had written one. The Company should its mode of operation. By not issuing receipt until payment is confirmed. Tagging the staff as being dubious is too hasty at the stage because the staff may just decided to borrow the Customer that 20 thousand naira. You can't conclude that the said staff lied about network issue. As that will be hasty, unfair and judgment based on emotions. There are cases that money sent were reversed so don't based your judgment on emotions nor suspicion but facts and evidences.

From your explanation is the Company mode of operandi that needed adjustment. The Staff hasn't committed any offense

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Power Minister, Adelabu Escapes Tinubu’s Sledge Hammer. by Housing(m): 7:39am On Oct 24, 2024
Electricity supply has improve massively, and the System Operator of the TCN is about to be given out to private professionals for efficiency, improvements and prevention of incessant grid collapse.

But Nigerians need to understand reasons for national grid collapse.

There are 26-grid connected power plants currently.

These power plants generate the power that the entire country uses, and it's synchronised and distributed across the country by the TCN.

TCN are the ones that handle the distribution of power by sending it to Discos.

TCN is a government owned entity that majorly operates in three (3) different departments.

1. Transmission Service Provider (TSP)
2. System Operator (SO)
3. Market Operator (MO)

- TSP are the ones in charge of maintaining the cables and towers that transmit the light.

- MO are the ones that handle market processes, rules, enforcement, finances, etc.

- SO are the ones in charge of maintaining and stabilising our national grid.

National grid is the interconnections of high transmission wires/cables across the country.

Grid frequency measures the demand and supply of electricity despatch to consumers from the Gencos.

Frequency meters are measured in hertz (Hz).

Based on the grid code, our normal frequency level is supposed to be 50Hz.

Example:
If the current power generation is 4000MWh and people are using all the 4000MWh, then supply is equal to demand, and frequency should be 50Hz.

This is a perfect condition that is highly unlikely.

If we are generating 4000MWh and People are using 3700Mwh, then obviously supply is higher than demand, and for that reason, the frequency will show you 51Hz.

If we are generating 4000MWh and people are trying to use 4200MWh, demand is higher than supply, and for that reason, the frequency will show 49Hz.

I know you will ask me how you can be generating 4000MWh and be trying to use 4200MWh😅😅

Take, for instance, your using I-pass-my-neighbour generator, and you're trying to connect 2HP A.C. with microwave on the generator😂

The generator will just automatically shut down.

That's how it happens, too, on the national grid.

Nigerian national grid is set to operate on a designated frequency level

Upper limit = 51.25Hz

Lower limit = 48.75Hz

The job of an S.O. is to make sure that the frequency movement is in between these 2 levels

Any significant deviation from these 2 levels, i.e., if it exceeds the threshold above or below it, such might trigger a national grid collapse.

A grid collapse is not like a collapse that something bad happens, no. The 26 grid connected generators will automatically shut down because of safety and security reasons.

In your houses, if you have a serious electrical fault, the circuit breaker will trip off to shut down the entire supply and protect everyone from potential injury or damages.

The demand for electricity is not static. For example, let's say you have 10 ACs in your house and other appliances.

In full capacity, your house is consuming 500Kwh, and average capacity can be 300Kwh or less.

Lets say in this hot weather, they only allocate 250Kwh to your house, and you're trying to use it in full capacity, if you switch on everything the demand will exceed the available supply you have and for that reason the light will automatically go off

These are all examples of how a demand is trying to exceed supply and how the system will protect itself.

On the flip side, when supply exceeds demand, the system will equally go off for safety reasons.

In Nigeria, supply does not always exceed demand unless there is an adverse event that occurs. I will explain.

In 2022, when TCN unions (NUEE) decide to go on strike, they just off the light abruptly without notice nor following the normal process, this trigger imbalance

Between the demand and supply.

They off the electricity around Abuja axis and co areas without the S.O. necessarily transferring the load somewhere. This resulted in higher supply, less demand because the generators are working, but nobody to pick load. It means

For E.g, there is 4000MWh being generated from GenCos. You went ahead to shut down almost 500MWh without channelling that MWh somewhere else. It becomes a redundant, and the system does not accept redundancy. For that reason, the entire power plants go off to protect itself

The frequency will be showing something more than 52Hz in some cases because supply is higher than demand.

This is why you will see that they will bring light now and take it off again.

The demand is not static, and as its changing, the S.O. will also be Making sure that the supply is reasonable enough to maintain frequency reading within the allowable limit.

TCN will ask a disco to take 200Mw, and within a short time, they will reduce that 200Mw to 190Mw depending on how generation and demand are behaving

This is all done to protect the grid and maintain balance.

If TCN asks Disco to reduce the MW, that's when you see discos taking light off, or maybe if there is a major repair.

Also, if there is a repair and a disco can not offtake power, then either the disco rechannel it Somewhere or the TCN will do it themselves.

What causes grid collapse is not a deflection of small MW in the generation pool. It has to be a major disruption that is SIGNIFICANT enough to create imbalance within short time, making it impossible for the S.O. to react immediately.

You have a generation pool of 4000MW, and a sudden problem occurs at the transmission line, which takes out almost 500MW off. This is significant enough to cause grid collapse.

Even that 500MW, it has to be so fast that the S.O. cannot react at the immediate point.

Disruption like 10MW, 20MW is not significant enough, and it's usually handled by the S.O. or even the disco

Other ways to maintain the grid without collapsing is to have the full and complete use of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).

This will make it easy for the S.O. to react faster and save the grid from collapsing.

Spinning reserve is also another option

But we do not have enough generation talkless of having a spinning reserve 😅😅

Reserve means a situation where demand is increasing, and you're matching up the demand by increasing supply immediately 😅

After grid collapses, the S.O. will immediately order the restoration or start off of power plants again. They usually call it black start.

They initiate the power plant and begin to give electricity to strategic discos gradually

It's a normal process, just like when your circuit breaker trips off, then you fix it and on your light again.

This is why the grid will collapse, and they will restart it before the news even go out. By the time its in the news, some people will be saying, but we have light😂

Need to also mention that some power plants are not connected to the grid, and there is partial collapse and system-wide collapse. These can also be the reason why someone from a far away remote location can be claiming to have light when the grid collapses.

Why did Aguyi Ironsi arrested Adaka Boro through Odumekwu Ojuku?

Adaka Boro decided to secede Niger Delta from Nigeria due to the abrogation of Federalism, which is tantamount to end of regional government.

Aguyi Ironsi arrested Isaac Adaka Boro through Ojukwu and sentenced him to death.

Exactly. After the coup, the remnants of the government’s cabinet actually tried to continue especially as the coup had been quashed.

Some accounts have it that Ironsi stopped them, and with the collaboration of Nwafor Orizu transferred power to himself under the guidance of Azikiwe who was in constant communication monitoring the ensuing outcome of events.

In other words, the coup did not destroy regional autonomy. It was Ironsi stepping in as a military head of state, and a few months later promulgating the unification decree 34 of May 1966.

The trajectory could have been different had Ironsi remained a professional soldier, and kept the military out of the whole equation after the coup. Well, he took a chance and risked Nigeria’s fragile democracy and with it its development.
May God bless you abolition of Nigeria as a Federation but a Republic was done by Ironsi
