Surely Iran doesn't have surplus oil as China use to buy 90% of its production upfront.

Trump is aware but decided to use the purported 140Mlion barrel as speculative means in effort to drag the price of oil down.

The approach won't work as the shortage of available oil in the market is real.

Thanks for your insightful contributions. I'm better informed now. But please, I wanna get this straight. On attaining the golden age of 50, how many percent lump sum can one apply for from his RSA?

Some PFA sighted 25% while other Pension Acts outlets quoted 50% lump sum. Please what's the latest update concerning this?
You are qualified for the 50% lump sum withdrawal because 50 years is the minimum retirement age under the Contributory pension scheme. But most PFA will try to frustrate from doing that. A retiree had sue ARM pension for him to access 50% lump sum withdrawal from his RSA having attained 60 years of age. ARM Pension met him court and refused to release the 50% lump sum withdrawal until after the court decided in the retiree's favour.

But you can make 25% lump sum withdrawal if you are out of employment for a period three months or more even without attaining 50 years or 60 years

I don't know if it has been recently reviewed. But I guess it's 25% lump sum of the Retirement Savings Account after attaining the golden age of 50 or 4 months after one is out of job.
That is not gratuity, but withdrawal from your RSA. You can decide to to make the withdrawal, but as for the gratuity it is coming completely from the government purse. The lump sum withdrawal was introduced, as gratuity was stopped with the starts of contributory pension 22 years ago.

Those that retired base on contributory pension in the last 21 years didn't collect gratuity. That is why the Military (Nigerian Army) withdrawal from the contributory pension scheme

Old gratuity used to be 300% while the 100%?. Money that can't buy land to even build a Retirement home.
The old gratuity was stopped total after the implementation of the contributory pension. You can read that it was last paid 22 years ago. So 100% of annual total emoluments is a big step up was zero gratuity in the last 21years

Disu enlisted in the NPF before Frank Mba, starting with the rank of ASP after training while Frank Mba started with the rank of Inspector. Meaning Tunji Disu joined NPF as a graduate while Frank Mba joined as an OND holder. Frank Mba got his first degree qualification ten years after joining the NPF while Tunji Disu joined the NPF as a graduate

For so many years Frank Mba was junior to Tunji Disu in rank, but enjoyed rapid promotions based on quota system, as there are very few Ibo senior police officers. While Tunji Disu works mostly on the field as operational police officer, with international experience.

PoliticsRe: Motorist On Lagos Road Who Disobeys VIO Officer Will Be Arrested, Prosecuted, by Housing(m):
"Therefore, any motorist on Lagos roads who disobeys or assaults a VIS officer in Lagos State in the course of performance of his statutory duty will be subject to arrest and prosecution by this Ministry,” it added.

So Lagosian must obey VIO officials even they are giving illegal orders?

While acknowledging the validity of the rulings, the Lagos State Government stressed that “the judgment, though binding, is not of general application or of nationwide effect in Nigeria.”

It further clarified that “only parties to the suit and any state that has no statute on VIO, like FCT Abuja, are bound by the judgments,” noting that Nigeria operates a federal system of government with clearly defined legislative powers between federal and state authorities.

The statement emphasised that vehicle inspection and traffic management fall within residual matters for states and that Lagos has its own statutory framework regulating such activities.

It, therefore, advised members of the public “not to be misled by the misrepresentation of the judgments of both the Federal High Court and the Court of Appeal,” and to cooperate with VIS officers to avoid sanctions.

Mr. Lawal Pedro can not approbate and reprobate at the same time. If you acknowledged the judgement as binding, then abide by it until you get it upturned.

Mr. Lawal Pedro should approach a Court of competent jurisdiction on the matter to get clarification or challenge it's binding on Lagos State territory. That is the right thing for him to do as an apostle of Justice. Not to be issuing ambiguous statements and unwarranted threat against Lagosians

This constant reversal of policy that is meant to protect the overall health of most vulnerable people should not be sacrificed on the alter of jobs and economic benefits to wicked industrialists.

grin you are just talking nonsense……I have lived in both locations of Shomolu and Gbagada. I was brought up in yaba as a typical Lagos aborigine and I have a fair knowledge of the rent prices in most locations on the mainland and I can tell you for a fact that Shomolu is more costlier than mushin. I have friends in mushin with family houses rented out to tenants and they are no where close to what is paid as rent in Shomolu. I finished from yabatech and during my undergraduate years, I stayed in Shomolu very close to Morroco bus stop and I paid 180 as at 2013/2014 for a one room self contain till it was increased to about 280k in 2017 and I moved out. My sister also recently rented an apartment just 2yrs ago and it was also a self con with a full package of almost 1m and mind you it is not a room and parlour, and if you talking of a decent room/parlour, you will budget about 1.5m while in mushin you can get cheaper, not to talk of Gbagada….I won’t even bother to engage you further grin
For your information I am an indigenous Lagosian with personal and family properties across Lagos. Going by information of when you schooled in Yabatech we are decades apart in terms of post secondary education. A room self in Mushin presently goes for N1,M to N1.5M

As for Gbagada I never compared Gbagada to Mushin it was you that said Gbagada is closer to Island Surulere which is very laughable. Iponri Estate to Ozumbadiwe, Broad Street and Marina are all closer and shorter in distance and travelling time compared to Adekunle junction of Third Mainland bridge not to talk of Gbagada that is far behind.

You can see how daft and stupid your argument is that Gbagada is closer to Island than Surulere. Anyway internet is a leveller.

grin I’m sure you don’t live in Lagos or just ignorant…..how can rent in Mushin be costlier than Shomolu? You even went further to say land in surulere is costlier than Gbagada? Where you won even see land for those places if you not thinking of buying a property? You better go and price apartment in Gbagada and clear your ignorance…..Gbagada that as phase 1 and phase 2 estate and also a good proximity to Lagos island even closer to the island than surulere is what you comparing? undecided so much misinformation in your post undecided
For your information I am currently undertaking construction within Millennium Estate in Gbagada, so I am very much aware of the cost of land and rent in that axis while I live in Surulere. There are properties that goes for 250 to 350 Million within Gbagada (New four bed duplex on 450sqm land size. That rate is only cost of vacant plots of same size in prime area of Surulere.

As for Mushin versus Shomolu. Rent in Mushin as been very higher than Shomolu as far back as 70s and same still exist up till now.

If you are into real estate across both or many divides you will within Lagos then you will know better.

You saying Gbagada is closer to Island than Surulere shows that you don't worth my engagement.
PropertiesRe: How Long Would It Take A Minimum Wage Earner To Afford A 1-bedroom In Lagos by Housing(m): 1:32am On Jan 01
The rate exposed the Author a supposed reputable outfit in terms of data.

Rating Shomolu rent higher than Festac. Shomolu that is below Mushin in terms of rent both for residential and commercial purposes.

Residential rent in Agege, Alimosho, Ketu and Oshodi are cheaper than Mushin and not the other way round.

Likewise rent in Surulere is higher than Ajah.. Even land in Surulere is more costly than Ajah and Gbagada. Land value in Mushin is higher than Ajah. This organization doesn't do diligence before putting out it's statistics

Point to one article where I supported Malami. You can’t, because it doesn’t exist. Your attempt to smear my work collapsed under its own weight.

What you’re missing isn’t intent; it’s comprehension. You’re reading for literal comfort where the writing is clearly rhetorical. Sometimes it’s devil’s advocacy, sometimes satire, sometimes strategic provocation, always contextual. If you can’t distinguish tone, that’s not ambiguity on my part; it’s a limitation on yours.

The state doesn’t lack tools. It has records, data, and institutional memory, more than enough to impose guardrails, enforce accountability, and expose impropriety in allocations. Immunity from prosecution was never immunity from scrutiny.

And let’s be serious: Emefiele didn’t operate in a vacuum. Subsidized FX didn’t evaporate into thin air, it flowed through a network, a cabal under Buhari’s watch. Pretending otherwise insults basic intelligence. Those beneficiaries should be named, shamed, and where evidence supports it, prosecuted.

So when you read my posts, read to understand. Ask first: is this rhetoric, devil’s advocacy, or sarcasm? If you can’t tell the difference, don’t project intent, upgrade your reading.
Your earlier post that reacted to is enough for discerning minds. As for your deflections the message had been passed, you got it and I hope you will adjust appropriately.

I am in support of Malami being dragged to court. But how did Malami have access to such funds, there must have been a lot of people culpable. They should all be arraigned. Even the civil servants complicit should be arraigned. We need to fix the systemic rot and send a stern message, that the corrupt and the partaker will never rest in peace.

But what happened to Yahya Bello
What happened to Emefiele

Emefiele should release the names of people he gave subsidized dollars to....Let him release the top 100 names, that got the most dollars from CBN.

Why is EFCC only prosecuting on partisan basis ?
Are you telling us there is no APC corrupt politician ?

All those state governors that have been receiving FAAC allocations for 2 years, and have nothing to show for it, do you need a fortune teller to tell you they are looting the funds ?

Is Tinubu administration using EFCC,ICPC to haunt and destroy opposition and those who stand in their way ?
Your submission is the subtle and clandestine tactic of corruption fighting back.

If you know anyone that enabled Emefiele you too can help be writing a petition to the EFCC to that effect.

As for the State Governors you mentioned, you are quite aware that they currently have immunity against prosecution.

You supported Malami with tones of articles same with Ahmed Farouk with epistles. Until he resigned having seen the evidences Dangote has against him.

You are brilliant more than this and you should do better. Patriotism is not about party affiliation nor writing jigs

Nigerians are watching as Dangote is openly trying to turn petrol supply into a cartel

Business vs. Cartel

A business is built by competing. It creates value by offering better products, prices, or services, and it survives only as long as customers freely choose it. Regulation is accepted as part of the social contract, and failure is always possible.

A cartel is built by eliminating competition. It seeks profit through control, collusion, intimidation, regulatory capture, or barriers that prevent others from entering the market. Regulation is treated as an enemy, not a safeguard.

If Dangote is the corruption Czar he claims to be, Where was this energy when he was getting subsidized dollars from Emefiele. Who is the most corrupt Nigerian in modern times. Building a 750-Unit estate with stolen funds. Dangote did not report him to ICPC. They did business together amicably.
Dangote did no wrong, a foreign investor would have requested for NO IMPORTATION GUARANTEE FOR THE FIRST FIVE YEAR OF THE REFINERY OPERATIONS with Price Determining Committee. Farouk must be investigated and prosecuted if found culpable.

Dangote Refinery is Nigeria's Energy Security backbone and must be protected jealously

They are afraid of losing that protected status.
They know that we know that the whole Lagos state is based on port revenue.
Unfortunately (for them), or rather fortunately, other states have developed means to create revenue for themselves, no matter how meager it is.
But they (Lagos) keep saying that other states are unproductive. Not because they are a value creation state, but simply because of the port and the industries or businesses that depend on and have to set up around the port.

Take away the port status from Lagos, and even Ekiti will be far better.
The S.A. was only trying to protect his job regarding gridlock around Apapa.

But as per revenue, revenue accrual to Lagos State Government from Apapa port is less than 2% of IGR. Apapa LIRS target is not among the first fifteen in Lagos. And that includes revenue from other businesses under Apapa Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA.

Fertility clinics all over the world favours young people __ e get why. So everyone can choose to lie to themselves. But the older you get, sha keep enough money on ground. You will need it.
I am sure you will be here to ovulate. But the reports said "A 2025 study published in Nature found that roughly 2% of sperm in men in their 30s carried harmful mutations — a number that doubles to nearly 5% by age 70. These “selfish mutations,” as researchers call them, can give certain sperm cells a growth advantage in the testis, allowing them to multiply faster — even if the mutation itself is dangerous for offspring."

So the remaining 95% should be discarded for the 5%.

May God bless me financially like Ned. I will surely do the God's work.

Doesn't this look like vendetta?

I mean they said the people did not get approvals, why not seal the buildings and tell the people to get approvals, you people just like defending evil...
It is in the interest of those that build to do the needful. Moreso, do you know how those behave in that place no government official can seal that place without deploying strong enforcement teams which are always busy and at huge cost. So the government can only schedule when to act.
