Nairaland GeneralWorkers Social Network: Cry Out by howardriddle(op):
hi, this is an invitation for you all to drop your requests for the above title.

I was just wondrin why not a Workplace social network?

1. ever wondered, We've got Facebook for friends and family, twitter for annomity, pinterest for visuals, instagram for pics, linkedIn for proffessionals (just that this one is a bit very boring).
2. So why not have one for colleaques to have fun with each other & network with other workers in other companies?
and also snagging jobs from friends if they so desire?
and without having all those suited profile pics as advocated by LinkedIn? the main conversation medium wld be members creating blogs and writing their daily work lives or other fun things as posts which wld appear on friends/ colleaques office desks(equivalent of fb wall) while others comment and discuss on them.
3. some dating features wld also be integrated for those who wld want to snuggle with that newest office chick or guy. According to a Glassdoor survey conducted during Valentine last year, 1 in 10 workers have "Made Love" in the office (i.e an office relationship), so this wldn't hurt an ounce.

If you think this wld be cool and you are in, drop feature requests now.

Jobs/Vacancies30 Motivational Quotes For Job Seekers This New Month. by howardriddle(op):
A little inspiration and motivation can go a long way in the daunting job search process.

“It would be great if we all had a career coach or mentor who could follow us around every step of the way when we look for a job,” says Andy Teach , author of From Graduation to Corporation , and host of the YouTube channel From Grad To Corp . “They could motivate us and keep our spirits up when we get rejected for a job; and congratulate us when we snag that interview or, even better, land that dream job. Unfortunately, this doesn’t happen so we all need to look for motivation from other sources. There are many great quotes from several famous and not-so-famous people that can inspire us to be the best that we can be in whatever we do. These quotes can certainly pertain to us as we search for a job especially in this new month of feb. It’s best to pick a select few, write them down, and keep them close to you so that you have a constant reminder of what you need to do.”

So here are 30 motivational quotes for both job seekers, career people and anyone who cares enough:

“Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.” – Thomas Jefferson

“Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” – George Santayana
