This man was caught having sex with this little girl behind a car in a broad daylight. What is this world turning to? Not even in the night, imagine that.

I listened to the radio this afternoon and should I say unfortunately, they were discussing Dammy Krane’s arrest. And the angle they picked it from was that of 9ice- his ‘Living Things’ song. Honestly, the first day I heard that song, I said to myself this is all shades of wrong, but then it’s Naija so it’s cool, people had already started listening and jamming to the song. The topic was the hot gist today and those that sent in messages said 9ice didn’t help matters when he released the song especially the part he praised well known fraudsters, which actually made youths believe more in fraud. To them, (those that sent in messages) it’s simple, he actually reckons with them and it’s extremely sad that someone who once held a public office and a public figure can actually release a song to praise fraudsters and encourage the youths to involve themselves in what he calls wire wire. One of the presenters even said, in a better country, authorities would have gone after those men and question their source of income. Which is just the RIGHT thing to do. The only RIGHT THING. They however attributed it to Dammy Krane’s case, saying he is just like many Nigerian youths who have now involved themselves in fraudulent activities because they see it as a way of being big, living large and a fast way of making money than working hard, and ofcourse if people like 9ice can praise well known fraudsters, why won’t the youths want to get involved. You ask why? Because 9ice has a say. Because 9ice is seen as a role model. Because 9ice is a star. Because 9ice matters to them. They listen to him. They believe in him. And when he dishes out a song, they think he is right, our mentor says it is cool and so they do it. Need we say 9ice is wrong with his Living Things song? Absolutely! He owes Nigerian youths an apology. He owes them one, he needs a retraction. He has misled a lot of people without him probably not even knowing. We have to be careful of what we dish out as celebrities (I mean the celebrities).

An agent of NairaBet, a sports betting platform, has ended his life over his inability to pay a customer who allegedly won a N600,000 bet. PUNCH Metro learnt that residents of Obadeyi Ajala woke up on Wednesday to find the deceased dangling from a rope in an uncompleted shop at Ajala bus stop, on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. The incident was said to have drawn a crowd to the area and a girlfriend of the deceased, who reportedly worked in a filling station in the area, was alerted. The lady reportedly passed out on sighting the body, but was revived by the sympathisers at the scene. A resident, Monday Gabriel, told our correspondent on the telephone that the lady gave an account of what could have prompted him to commit suicide. He said, “I was going to my workplace around 8am when I saw people around three uncompleted shops in Ajala bus stop. On getting there, I saw the corpse of a young man in one of the shops dangling from a rope. “As we wondered what could have made him to kill himself, a lady, who later identified herself as his girlfriend, arrived at the scene and fainted on sighting the corpse. We poured water on her. “When she regained consciousness, she told us that the man sent her a text message yesterday (Tuesday), saying he wanted to commit suicide. She said she called his line, but he didn’t pick his calls. “According to the girlfriend, the late man had a NairaBet shop. One of the customers won N600,000, but he has not paid him.” Gabriel added that two persons later came and took the lady away from the scene on a motorcycle. Another eyewitness, Olanrewaju Adebiyi, said policemen from the Ijaiye division came to remove the corpse. said, “I learnt he ran a NairaBet shop. If it is true that he was owing a customer N600,000, he must have received the money from the NairaBet management and used it for something else. I also play NairaBet and whenever I win, the agent I patronise pays me the moment the company credits his account. “The company doesn’t owe the agents, but some of them play smart at times when customers win big money.” An official of NairaBet Contact Centre, who gave her name only as Chidika, told our correspondent on the telephone that the firm always paid for any won ticket, adding that it was not aware of the incident. She said, “We always pay for any won ticket. An agent has his own personal business. He/she is just a partner with NairaBet in which we share commission on a monthly or weekly basis. So, it depends on the understanding he had with the customer or the issue on the ground before he committed suicide.” The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Olarinde Famous Cole, confirmed that the case was reported to the police. “The incident was reported. I will get back to you with more details later,” he said. |
House of Representatives has called on the police and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to enforce the use of pedestrian bridges on the nation’s highways. Adopting a motion moved by Johnson Oghuma (Edo-APC) yesterday, the House asked the Inspector-General of Police and the Commandant-General of the NSCDC to, as a matter of urgency, deploy their personnel at various points on the highways where the pedestrian bridges were located to enforce their use and also provide security on the bridges. Oghuma noted that pedestrians still prefer to cross the highways directly rather than using the pedestrian bridges, thereby endangering their lives. There is little or no enforcement mechanism to compel pedestrians to use the bridges and if drastic measures are not taken to enforce adherence to the use of pedestrian bridges, the trend will likely continue and more lives will be lost through pedestrians being knocked down by speeding vehicles,” he said. He also noted that the advantages of these bridges as safety measures for pedestrians. Adopting the motion, the House urged the Ministry of Power, Works and Housing to construct barricades where the bridges were available to stop pedestrians from crossing highways directly, provide light on the bridges to encourage usage at night and also provide cover from the sun and rains for the users. It also called on the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to conduct awareness campaigns to educate the populace on the need to use pedestrian bridges. |

I and my girl have been dating for the past 6 years. It's kind of platonic relationship. Sex is not involve. Only kissing and all that. We broke up due to the fact that I can't endure it again. As you all know ' body no be firewood'. Since then she dated like two other guys. Early last year, she pleaded that we should get back together which I agreed on the basis that she have to give me the password to all her social network accounts which she did. All the same, the relationship still fell. After some months, I realized that I've missed something, so I threw away my pride and went back to beg her which after some time she agreed. Now the problem is she said she wants me but also claim to be in love with the other guy. She even uses the guy's pix as her whatsapp display pics. I really love this girl sincerely but it seems she is using me as a backup in case the other guy misbehave. My question is, should I stick around till she break up with the guy of find my way. Note that we still talk and she do come to my school at times to visit me. |

I don't really know the right section for this article. The Admin should please transfer it to the right section. Most times when we walk into big malls, boutiques, supermarkets, etc. We never question their prices. We pay exactly what we see on the price tags and even hand out tips to the staff. But the moment we are out of these shops and want to buy banana, our gargaining game gets off to the roof. Poor widow with 12 hungry children at home tells you banana is N100. She even takes out her time to explain how difficult it was for her to even buy it, how the economy is so tough. But we insists that if it's not N50, we are not paying. Some of us even step back into our cars and make to drive away. But because ' half bread is better chin chin' this woman is forced to call you back and sell to you at little or no gain. In her heart, she cries, she's worried about how she'll survive with her children. She silently assures herself that ' it's well. God will definitely provide' while you happily chop the luscious banana, take some seconds out and think about this, guys especially ladies please don't bargain hard with small vendors like this. They do business not to buy designer bags, Gucci shoes but to LIVE AND EAT. |
Has anyone heard anything about those who promised to trek to mecca for GMB? |
Last two weeks a friend of mine tried to use First Bank ATM to transfer money using UBA debit card. The funniest thing was that, the money was deducted from his account and the transfer didn't occur. Is it ideal to use ATM to tranfer money? |
