A senator's anual salary = over
N182 million multiply by 109 senators (don't forget the House of rep,
ministers, ambassadors, ...) In addition to the regular and legitimate salaries and allowances of over N17 million ($113,333) and N14.99 million ($99,933) which senators and reps were collecting yearly and the irregular allowance of estacodes, duty tours etc, they were also collecting over N192m ($1.28m) and N140m ($0.93m) respectively in illicit quarterly allocation which is not provided for by RMAFC.
Effectively, a Nigerian senator was
taking home at least $1.40m ($
1.28m quarterly allocations + $0.113m regular salaries and allowances) as against the $0.174m an American senator takes home hence a Nigeria senator earns at least 8 times as much as an American senator and more than 3 times the American president.
Whereas a Senator in the U.S earns
N21, 146,000, the same as a
member of the House of Representatives; a UK Member of Parliament earn  £64,766 (N14, 896,180) In other words, a Federal Legislator in Nigeria is paid more than double what a Member of British Parliament earns per annum. Senate President David Mark alone takes N250 million quarterly or N83.33 million per month.
Senate Deputy President Ike
Ekweremadu gets N150 million per
quarter or N50 million a month.
Mark and Ekweremadu earns in 4
months, six times what the UK
Prime Minister earns in a year.
David Cameron goes ho me with Â
£190,000 per anum (N43,700,000) In a newspaper news article entitled ‘An Assembly for looting’ written by Musikilu Mojeed with Elor Nkereuwem, the authors rightly claimed that each of the 360 members of the House of
Representatives were getting N35
million in cash money in quarterly
allocation while each of the 109
Senators pockets N48 million each.
These allocations have however
been slashed by 20% to N27 million ($180,000) and N38 million ($253,333) respectively due to the 20% reduction requested by the late president.

i think its time nigerians stopped travelling out especially to hostile nations. the truth is that the only country in the world that can stand multiculturalism is the united states of america and thats because the original owners are a minority and dont have a say anymore both in politics and economy. every oher nation will see foreigners as a threat no mater how good or how bad they are after all nigeria chased ghananians away at one point. lets stay back home and fix nigeria ,if we can get at least 10 out of the 36 states working fine i think we wont complain much

guys pls if your in your late 20 or early 30s do yourself a favour and avoid girls of that age 24 or 23 and below(e chanel/twitter/blackberry/brazillian weave/colour riot/confused/immature/insultive /greedy/kim kardasian/wizkid/iceprince/runs girls/i have the best chairman/meet a guy online and visit him in another strange city/multiple boyfriends kind of girls). its suicide for a guy that wants to settle or still struggling to settle infact they can ruin you because you cant cope emotionally, financially , you might loose your temper and end up killing someone. even me in my mid 20s cant stand them. i think girls start growing brains when they turn 25 or 26 ,there are exceptions but they are difficult to find cus the pressure is too much for them to follow the trend of stupidity .

it cud also be because at that age they are spoilt with choices of guys in different cities plus chairmen , unfortunately by the time they turn 26 all those guys will disappear and thats when their eyes actually open.

If you have ever gone round Lagos, can you honestly claim that 2/3 of Lagos residential areas are slums? not even 1/10th of Lagos can be regarded as slum.

We can excuse that error because Rice has not gone round Lagos himself.
am talking about Lagos Nigeria not Lagos Portugal. Lagos Nigeria is over 80 percent slum , over crowded and disorganised so I don't know what ur talking about but then its expected of most commercial cities

but Rice estimates that two thirds of the population are slum dwellers.. There nothing impressive about 2/3 of Lagos population living in slums and one man pocketing ten percent of the tax you all pay.
Politics / Re: Lagos Is A Success Story by htajz: 12:19am On Jul 10, 2012
Tax collection, in a system that recalls tax farming in the New Testament or under Louis XIV, is apparently performed by a private company with links to Tinubu. The company retains 10 percent of all revenue collected over a certain threshold (at present, $43m per month).. So tinubu collects ten percent of the tax you all pay in lag , chair naija people don suffer.

Cut Moin Moin

"Ewe eran" leaves (Thaumatococcus daniellii)
Moinmoin or Moyi-Moyi is a Nigerian steamed bean pudding made from a mixture of washed and peeled black-eyed beans, onions and fresh ground peppers (usually a combination of bell peppers and chilli or scotch bonnet). It is a protein-rich food that is a staple in Nigeria. Some adaptations also put apples in MoinMoin. It originates from South-west Nigeria.
Moin moin is prepared by first soaking the beans in cold water until they are soft enough to remove the fine outer covering or peel. Then they are ground or blended (using a blender) until a fine paste is achieved. Salt, bouillon cube, dried crayfish, vegetable oil (or any edible oil such as palm oil) and other seasonings are added to taste. Some add sardines, corned beef, sliced boiled eggs, or a combination of these and other 'garnishes' to liven up moin moin. Such is referred to as having 'x' number of lives, 'x' representing the number of garnishes added. The most touted is "moin moin elemi meje", which translates to moin moin with 7 lives.
Moin moin usually comes in a slanted pyramid shape or a cylindrical shape, owing to the mold it is poured into prior to cooking. The pyramid shape comes from the traditional broad "ewe eran" (Thaumatococcus daniellii) or banana leaves fashioned into a cone in one's palm, then the seasoned and garnished liquid is poured into the leaves, which is then folded.
The cylindrical shapes come from empty cans of tomato sauce used in preparation of other dishes. Once placed in its mold, it is placed in a large pot about a tenth filled with water. The water is the source of steam that cooks the moin moin. Moin moin is eaten alone or with bread as a snack, with rice as a meal or with ogi (corn or millet porridge) for breakfast or supper. it can also be taken with garri in the afternoon.

Can the south rule Nigeria at all , let alone ruling it justly? They are unable to prove this , despite the decades of boasting about their high level of education and " civilization" . Politics / Re: Why Can't A Revolution Work In Nigeria? by htajz: 6:43pm On Jun 17, 2012
tribalism is the reason revolution cant work , the first revolution againts the federal govt was by niger delta militants , it was squashed without even adressing the reason , the second was by the military in 1966,though it succeded but then it was tagged igbo coup by some mishchief makers and everything went wrong from that point on wards, the thrid was during aburi which again succeded but was dishonered by gowon the same man that agreed to it, and then civil war revolution which failed, after all these events i dont think even a mad man will aggree to come out in the street all in the name of revolution forget about revolution

good question ,now for south west they think PDP is the pronblem of nigeria, remove pd and all our problems dissapear thats what they believe while the north is only interestd in getting power either with pdp or with opposition , right now they welcome anything or party that will get them back into power but i trust tinubu to leave them hanging again.

Anambra is only State you can see higher number of millionaires per square kilometre. Wealth is more evenly distributed in the State than elsewhere.

For the purposes of making my point clear, I can shout it from the rooftops that Anambra is relatively not poor. Anambra has more Bank branches than all the other South-East States or two geo-political zones in the North put together. What determines Bank branches is the amount of money available in given areas and not by landmass

interesting , that looks like the next state i will be looking into in terms of buisness.

Another member of the party’s top hierarchy who spoke at the meeting in Sheraton, Abuja said that they have warned Buhari about Tinubu and that the General does not know Tinubu very well.

“We believe that Tinubu is only fraternising with Buhari for his own personal political interests, adding that once Tinubu is aware that he cannot get anything out of the planned political alliance/merger between the CPC and the A CN, he (Tinubu ) will abandon Buhari,” a party leader was also quoted as saying, adding that he has been getting details of interactions between Buhari and Tinubu in recent times.
