soreola: Something I learnt today in my devotion, thank God I haven't forgotten it, lol

God is not looking for qualified vs non-qualified. He chooses whoever He pleases. If He has called you to do something, don't think "I am not qualified, this ppl will not gree, they will say this & that, I don't want to fail and be made fun of etc' Just know that as long as you abide in Him who called you, then all will be well with you. Don't look for strength from within but look for it in Him who called you. The bible says I can do ALL things thru Christ who strengthens me.

Note it didnt say because of the talents you have or the experience, skills and resources you have but throught Christ.

The devotion gave examples of those in the bible who God called and used:

"Abraham was old, Jacob was insecure, Leah was unattractive, Joseph was abused, Moses stuttered, Gideon was poor, Samson was codependent, Rahab was immoral, David has an affair and all kinds of family problems, Elijah was suicidal, Jeremiah was depressed, Jonah was reluctant, Naomi was a widow, John the baptist was eccentric to say the least, Peter was impulsive and hot-tempered, Martha worried a lot, the Samaritan woman had several failed marriages, Zacchaeus was unpopular, Thomas had doubts, Paul had poor health, and Timothy was timid."

It also went on to talk about how the 12 men called by Jesus were common men: fishermen, tax collectors, and even revolutionaires. It states that they went on to change their "world not because of what they had in themselves, but because of the One who empowered them."

So go out there ppl and rock your world! Christ is in you!!

Cheers =)

adebayosun02: My man of the match is Austin Ejide!!!, he is a save and trusted hands.

To me, Nigeria winning this match is not to feel superior over R. South Africa rather to show spirit of African brothers to the RSA and the great Man - Nelson Mandela an African Icon.
