princesa: okay! good evening all, i havnt unfollowed my story, neither am i clamoring for more views and pages. Like i said, there is not enough time here like i had then in school. And that's the truth!

i intentionally desisted from replying or commenting in this thread, just so i won't create false lead, then folks won't check and the thread would naturally hibernate till i post. but obviously it didn't! sad

so then, i would have posted the chapter finale today but i couldn't finish it. but definitely it would be here tomorrow evening. please bear with me...(but don't expect so much from the last chapter, since the story technically ended in chapter 19)

which ever chapter works for you as 'the end', works for me too.

I always and always appreciate my readers. thanks to all of you!smiley

HE STILL SPEAKS

A young man had been to Wednesday night Bible Study. The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's voice. The young man couldn't help but wonder, "Does God still speak to people?"

After service he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the message. Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different ways. It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home. Sitting in his car, he just began to pray, "God.. If you still speak to people speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey."

As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought, stop and buy a gallon of milk. He shook his head and said out loud, "God is that you?" He didn't get a reply and started on toward home. But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk. The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the voice of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli. "Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk." It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk.

He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home. As he passed Seventh street, he again felt the urge, "Turn down that street." This is crazy he thought and drove on past the intersection.

Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street. At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh. Half jokingly, he said out loud, "Okay, God, I will". He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop.

He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in semi-commercial area of town. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighborhoods either. The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already in bed.

Again, he sensed something, "Go and give the milk to the people in the house across the street." The young man looked at the house. It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already asleep.

He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat. "Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and I will look stupid."

Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk. Finally, he opened the door, "Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the door and I will give them the milk. If you want me to look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for something but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here."
He walked across the street and rang the bell.

He could hear some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, Who is it? What do you want?" Then the door opened before the young man could get away.

The man was standing there in his jeans and t-shirt. He looked like he just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. "What is it?" The young man thrust out the gallon of milk,"Here, I brought this to you."

The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway speaking loudly in Spanish. Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen. The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying. The man had tears streaming down his face. The man began speaking and half crying, "We Were just praying. We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn't have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some milk."

His wife in the kitchen yelled out, "I ask him to send an Angel with some. Are you an Angel?" The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on him and put in the man's hand.

He turned and walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming down his face. He knew that God still answers prayers

Stay blessed and remain rapturable

Here is that message I promised about glorious ruins.

“Let the ruins come to life/In the beauty of Your Name/Rising up from the ashes/God forever You reign/where my soul will find refuge in da shodow of you wings/I will love you forever and forever I will sing.”

This chorus of the title track, Glorious Ruins, was an underlying theme through the life of Hillsong Church in the lead up to the Hillsong Live praise & worship album recording, Glorious Ruins.  It’s a vivid image which captures the imagination and stirs the soul.  Brian Houston, Senior Pastor of Hillsong Church explains, “Ruins can speak of crushing defeat or perhaps of something abandoned, but the good news today is that the ruins come to life.  …Through Jesus Christ what we look at is ruins that become glorious...” Whether it be through times of personal devotion or in your church, we pray that the lyrics contained in this album stir your faith & love in Jesus Christ.

Watched the below sermon on tv, decided to share it here, you can find it online at the Hillsongs website. Hope it bless you as it did to me...and the album is out too, available online and a bonus sermon.

Pastor Houston preached on Glorious Ruins.

Man takes what is glorious and makes it into a ruin. God takes what is a ruin and makes it glorious.

Zechariah 11:3 (NKJV)

3 There is the sound of wailing shepherds!

For their glory is in ruins.

There is the sound of roaring lions!

For the pride of the Jordan is in ruins.

These scriptures speak of the great and huge cedar trees in Lebanon.

The glory is in ruins.

Ruins can speak of various things.

In the Old Testament, the house of God was left in ruins. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon conquered Israel and left the temple in ruins.

God’s heart and glory resided in His temple.

Ruins can speak also of humanity. What God created in humanity was glorious. God created us in His own image. What God created was glorious.

Man’s sin ruined what God has made.

Glorious ruin can also be like a picture in people’s world. Your world may be caving in. Some people may be in financial ruins. Some people are in reputation ruins. People can ruin your reputation. People may have shattered dreams or relationship. There are ruin marriages.

The good news is ruins can come to life with God. In the beauty of His name, God can cause you to rise up from the ashes.

Jesus Christ is the most glorious. Mankind took all the glory on the cross and creates the scandals of grace and ruined Jesus body.

The ruins come to life in the beauty of His name. The resurrected Jesus is alive in the hearts of the people.

Ruin speaks of past glory. Ruins often speak of past battle or disaster, neglect or abandonment.

There are many people who can relate to past ruins.

In the power of The Lord Jesus Christ, ruins can back to glory. God want to take what is ruin in your world, in your finances, your home, and your life and bring life to it.

Job 19:25-26 (NKJV)

25 For I know that my Redeemer lives,

And He shall stand at last on the earth;

26 And after my skin is destroyed, this I know,

That in my flesh I shall see God,

Ezra 9:8-9 (NKJV)

8 And now for a little while grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage. 9 For we were slaves. Yet our God did not forsake us in our bondage; but He extended mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to revive us, to repair the house of our God, to rebuild its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah and Jerusalem.

The temple was in ruins.

God can bring ruins back to life.

Three things to do if you want to see ruin comes to glorious life:

Praise power.

Prophetic power

Personal power or devotion

1.  Praise Power

Never underestimate the power of praise.

Ezra 3:10-11 (NKJV)

10 When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the Lord, according to the ordinance of David king of Israel. 11 And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord:

“For He is good,

For His mercy endures forever toward Israel.”

Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.

The foundation was laid in waste.

The people praise God before the miracle. When you praise, you are laying down the foundation for God’s miracle to happen.

If you want to see ruins come to life, never underestimate the power of praise.

Recognize the praise is the entry point to the promises of God. This is a recurring theme in the scriptures.

Psalm 100:4 (NKJV)

4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,

And into His courts with praise.

Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

If you are facing the ruins of anything, don’t underestimate praise. You can praise yourself happy. You can praise your way into a God given miracle.

Moses praised God before the opening of the Red Sea. The people complained before the Red Sea open but praise Him after the miracle.

Praise God early in the morning. Praise God on the way to work. Put the iPod in your ears. Praise God in the bus, on the trains.

Don’t underestimate the power of praise.

John 11:38 (NKJV)

38 Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.

Lazarus was dead four days. Jesus asked the stones to be rolled away.

If you believe, you will see the glory of God from the ruins.

Jesus wept tears of compassion. When Jesus was moved with compassion, something powerful will happen.

Jesus can bring ruins to life.

John 11:41-42 (NKJV)

41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.”

Jesus praised God before He raised Lazarus.

When do you praise God? Praise is the entry point into the presence of God. Thanking God is praising God.

What are you facing right now?

Praise has power in the heavenly. Praise is so much more than just something more that we do in church. You can see ruins come to life in the beauty of His name.

Jesus can take your smoking ashes and make it come to life.

2.  Prophetic power

Ezra 6:14 (NKJV)

14 So the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the command of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.

The prophets are speaking into the ruins of the temple for it to come to life.

A prophetic word of God speaking into your situation came make it come alive.

Haggai 2:8-9 (NKJV)

8 ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts. 9 ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”

What God is going to do is greater than the former.

A prophetic word of the Lord can catch the Spirit.

The Word of God can speak life into your future. The word of God can speak life into the areas of ruins you may be confronted with.

Whatever is happening in your world, do not feel discourage, you are to praise The Lord and speak life into your situation.

Haggai prophesied and said that the Lord will fill His house with glory. Haggai prophesied that God will build this temple with glory. The Lord will give peace to this temple.

In the Old Testament, the people were praising God after they have built the foundation. When they face adversity, opposition, when they faced discouragement, when they faced trouble, when they faced frustration, when they faced accusation, they praise God and they speak the word of God and let the word speak life into their future. The glory in the latter days will be greater than the former.

God is on your side. Great is He that is in you than he that is against you.

Prophecy by Pastor Brian:

You can believe that God will you a supernatural season of His grace and His favor in your world. He will bring ruins back alive in Jesus name. You can believe for the presence of God to lead you. You can believe in Jesus name for the Holy Spirit to brighten your eyes to see answers and victory in your life in Jesus name. You can believe in the name of the Lord for God to take bondage and opposition and bring freedom and free will into your life in the name of the Lord in Jesus name. You can believe in God for favor in the most unlikely sources in Jesus name. You can believe in the name of the Lord for God to take what is ruined and rebuilt it and repair the ruins and bring the promise of God to bear in your life, in your home, in your finances, in your world, in your family, in Jesus name. Amen!

God can breathe new life into your ruins in the name of Jesus. God can bring hope to those who have given up.

We are to speak grace into your situation.

Zechariah focused on the rebuilding of the temple. His prophecy is forward focus. The building of the temple prospered on the prophecies of Haggai and Zechariah.

Zechariah ultimately prophesied about Jesus.

Zechariah 9:9-10 (NKJV)

9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!

Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!

Behold, your King is coming to you;

He is just and having salvation,

Lowly and riding on a donkey,

A colt, the foal of a donkey.

10 I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim

And the horse from Jerusalem;

The battle bow shall be cut off.

He shall speak peace to the nations;

His dominion shall be ‘from sea to sea,

And from the River to the ends of the earth.’

Jesus is in your future. With Jesus in your future, ruins come alive.

We serve a wonderful God. The word of God is irreplaceable. The word of God speaks life into your future.

What is the mountain you are facing today? Ruins come to life through prophetic power of God’s words.

3.  Personal power or devotion

Ezra 7:10 (NKJV)

10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel.

You got to let the word, love the word, live the word, and lead others in the word if you want to see ruins come to life.

Let the word of God prepare your heart for what God is going to do. Have a love for the word and live according to it.

Lead your home, lead those around you in the power of the word and you will see ruins come to life.

Ezra 8:21 (NKJV)

21 Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions.

We can humble ourselves and come to God to seek from Him the right way.

There are many ways we can turn to find answers, breakthroughs. Most of these are not God focus.

You are to praise your way into your ruins. Speak the word into your ruins. You are to ask God to show you the right way.

Get the mind of the Spirit and the word of God. Take what God put into your hand.

Let the ruins come to life.

Pastor Lawrence’s prayer of blessings over the congregation before end of 1st service:

Father we give You praise. Father we thank you that You take our lives, the mess that it is in, whatever we are going through and turn it around and make our lives glorious. And Lord we thank you it is all because of Jesus that You turn our lives around and Lord we are grateful to You.

Father we declare that this coming week shall be a blessed week because You are for us, You love us and You are always with us. We pray that You will surround us with Your favor that is shield and whatever wisdom that we need pertain to our situation, Jesus You are our wisdom. Lord Jesus we are leaning hard on You. We are trusting in You for Your favor and Your wisdom, for Your open doors, Your protection. Put us at the right place at the right time.

I declare unto you the Lord bless you and the Lord keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up His countenance you and He gives to you His shalom peace.

All these we pray in Jesus name and everyone say Amen!!!
