Christianity Etc › Re: Religion Complaints Thread (sticky) by HumbledbYGrace(op): 11:35am On Sep 30, 2013
usermane: Truely that is my point. This section is a general one and so i believe that different religious topics could be opened here. Not all muslims have peculiar views with those in Islam for muslim section. And trust me a lot of muslims have been suppressed threadwise by the mohammedan in that section. Any nairalander knows best where his thread will be tolerated or benefial and hence why some islam related topics opened here should not be transfer to islam for muslims. In the end, except this is done a lot of nairaland would be denied their right to express themselves. And that translate to no freedom of expression in the entire religion section or nairaland as a whole.
Open a thread in the general section for your discussion, Admin will attend to it there.

InesQor: I really like how you're deleting my threads and deleting my posts while ignoring me entirely. Sadly, I have not broken any rules so you can't find the effrontery to ban me.

According to rule 20, I am trying to cooperate with you as a moderator and also affording respect, but the respect is not reciprocal because you are rudely ignoring my responses.

I guess that's that then.
Its funny how you expect me to verturn rules not created by me.

Islam problems are solved in their section not here.

Have a good day

Kslib: @First bolded, like seriously? So you wont even bother reading a story that doesn't catch your fancy with the first paragraph/beginning?
I believe no matter how dumb, stupid or clueless a story is,you as a Judge should read it.. Atleast you owe the contestants that..
If you cant read it,then why are you a judge in the first place?

Isn't it your responsibility as a judge to read the story and point out the flaws to the writer,no matter how stupid the story sounds?
I just hope this comment of yours doesn't discourage those who haven't submitted their work yet..

@Second bolded, you have to realize that we humans sometimes,or in most cases tend to think in the same direction .. People who signed up for this are more than 10 in number,so its only natural to see some people including dreams cos no one has the exclusive right to boldly hit his/her hands on the chest and say "I'm the only one who thinks this way"..
To prove my point, haven't you in some rare cases sat down, coined a special username you'll like to be using for a site, social network, email e..t.c only to find out that someone else has chosen the name before you?

If something as sophisticated as an username which requires certain special characters formed in our thoughts can also thought upon and used by another party who probably lives in another continent, thousands of miles away from you, then it's only normal to see more than one or two writers including "dreams' in their works..
Also, considering the fact that we still have about 10+ submissions to go,you had better brace up yourself cos you might as well see more dream stories coming up on your screen..

For those yet to submit, pls go ahead and use dreams in your story if that's what you've been planning on.. Afterall, they are thousands of crime, horror and love stories on the web but the best of them always stands out..
...
All izz well!
and your point with this essay ishuh

usermane: I really must commend the moderators of this section especially the OP of this thread for encouraging freedom of beliefs or opinions, even though there still room for improvement. And i really wish to appeal to you guys. Please, i beg of you, stop moving every thread that has a thing to do with quran/Islam to the so called Islam for Muslim section. Thanks a lot.
Thank you but we have to do what's expected of us, muslim, islam/quran topics are meant for them @ their section, I do not want it to look like we are boy courting their threads.
Christianity Etc › Re: Religion Complaints Thread (sticky) by HumbledbYGrace(op): 10:57am On Sep 30, 2013
@ Username

I would advice you leave Muslims and their section alone hence your not a muslim, focus on God, do his work and will. Freedom of speech is not allowed there so why don't you do something constructive with your time on Nairaland?
Islam › Re: Lodge Your Complaints Here by HumbledbYGrace(f): 10:52am On Sep 30, 2013
Deols, Maclatunji:

I got the below complaint, since matters of this joint are not part of my job I decided to port it here.

username: Peace to you.
Am here to complain of the lack of freedom of expression in NL religion section especially the Islam for muslim section. To be frank,i am sad, i haven't been in NL for no less than 31.333 days because something unfair was done to me.
A thread i was commited to, even though i wasn't the OP, was deleted not because anyone was unruly but due to mere difference of belief. It was a real sad day for me and i will clarify.
Back last month, basilico(christian) opened the thread 'HOLY QURAN 4:3 POLYGAMY AND SEX SLAVES IN ISLAM' in the general religion section but would be moved to Islam for muslim section. On this thread i have a few decent, tolerant, civilised and educative debate with Basilico and couple of xtians without any rude or insulting remark surfacing on any page of the thread. But out from nowhere, a moderator most likely the infamous maclatunji deleted the whole thread without a reason, hence denying the thread members of finishing what we started and other nairalanders the priviledge of learning anything from the thread. Quite Unproffessional of the moderator, wasn't it?
Regards hbg

Nudges11 so I sell condoms abi? angry angry

Ok lemme just say some stories submitted already, I did not even read. If your beginning aint catchy, I am sorry I am not going to bother myself reading the effing the rest of it. I am very disappointed in people, some didn't even pass for a grade7 composition angry

Use of big words in literature has made people fail ENGLISH a lot, going through a dictionary more than ten times for a short story is agonising. angry

Guys, were ya'll given storylines? Most of you wrote about dreams like really? Be creative, be yourself and don't follow the crowd please.

The Judges I choose are very different, you might even find out we do not read each other's stories because they might not be our genre and that's what makes us all unique in what we do.

Lastly, please do not write because others are writing, this is a calling not something you wakeup one day and decide to do.
