All that has been happening in the country in the recent past means that some category of people thought that ruler-ship in this country is their birth right.

If you take a close look at the activities of the boko haram group, it triggered off after the assumption of office of Mr. President.

It was stated in the dailies that this group was in existence since about ten years now, what have they been doing all these while.

where they formed to wait for the ascending to office of a southerner?

The group actions suggest that they are terrorist.
I was reading their latest antecedents at http://naija2day.com/2012/01/25-boko-haram-members-nabbed-in-enugu/

what the group should do is to declare that they are no longer part of entity called Nigeria if they are not cowards instead of coming from the back door.

Effects of Nigeria Subsidy on West Africa Countries
Although the impact of Nigeria’s ongoing strike over fuel subsidy removal on the world oil market remains unclear, the ripples of the country’s shut-down is being felt across the member nations of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Since January 1, when the Federal Government withdrew the so-called subsidy on petrol, sending the pump price for a litre skyrocketting from N65 to N140 and beyond in some instances; Nigeria has not been the same. And, like an infectious flu; many nations in the West African sub-region are now afflicted by Nigeria’s malady.http://naija2day.com/2012/01/effects-of-nigeria-subsidy-on-west-africa-countries/
Politics / Efcc To Probe Nnpc by humebuloe: 10:42am On Jan 16, 2012
In a bit to respond to the pressures mounted by the organized labour, the federal government is now determined to probe the activities of the national petroleum corporation NNPC with regard to the invoices it raised in subsidy.
NAIJA2DAY fells this is a welcome development owing to the cry by the citizens about the monumental fraud within the corporation.
The president in a nation wide broadcast this morning assured that all those found wanting in discharge of their duties in aiding or abating fraud in the subsidy will be dealt with in accordance with the law.

Inidications arising from the latest discussion between labour and government were that government is now willing to shift ground concerning  its earlier pump price giving an indication that the one week strike may likely  end this weekend.
Information available to NAIJA2DAY indicates that by tomorrow , government and labour will fine tune in other gray areas thereby bringing the one week old strike to an end sooner.

Politics / Fuel Subsidy Protesters Die by humebuloe: 1:17pm On Jan 04, 2012
Protests against fuel subsidy removal, which led to over 100 per cent increase in petrol prices, claimed the first casualty yesterday when a man was found dead in Ilorin, Kwara State. Police claimed he might have been stabbed by a colleague, but the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) disagreed.
In Lokoja, Kogi State, another protester was shot and several people were injured when policemen allegedly opened fire on them.
Businesses were paralysed. There was traffic snarl as a result. The protesters trooped out, blocking vehicular movements along Lokoja-Abuja highway. Banks, government offices and petrol stations were hurriedly closed.

Politics / Boko Haram And 3days Ultimatum To Southerners by humebuloe: 12:19pm On Jan 03, 2012
Boko Haram sect has given the Southerners three days to leave the North following President Goodluck Jonathan’s declaration of a state of emergency in four northern states. The group also threatened to confront soldiers deployed to the four states.

“We find it pertinent to state that soldiers will only kill innocent Muslims in the local government areas where the state of emergency was declared,” Abul Qaqa told journalists in a phone conference late Sunday.
“We would confront them squarely to protect our brothers.” Qaqa, who has spoken on behalf of the group numerous times in the past, also threatened southern Nigerians living in the north of the country just as it said Muslims should leave the south.

The group urged “our fellow Muslims to come back to the north because we have evidence that they would be attacked,” Abu Qaqa, a spokesman for the group, said yesterday in an e-mailed statement. “We are also giving three days ultimatum to the southerners living in northern Nigeria to move away.”

Boko Haram, which means “Western education is a sin,” says it’s fighting to establish sharia law in the North. Qaqa said the state of emergency declared on December 31 “was meant to attack Muslims and not to restore normalcy.” Jonathan declared the emergency in parts of Borno, Yobe, Plateau and Niger states and set up a special counter-terrorism unit within the armed forces after attacks left at least 43 people dead and 73 wounded in a Christmas Day bombing of a church near Abuja.

At least 72 people have been killed in fighting since December 22 between security forces and the militant group in the north-eastern city of Damaturu, according to the government. Boko Haram claimed responsibility for a suicide car-bomb attack on the United Nations building in the capital on August 26 that killed 25 people.

It has always been the opinion of Naija2day that the sect is pursuing a secret agenda other than the literal meaning of its name.

It is an open secret that the cost of governance in Nigeria is one of the highest in the world, how much does president, governors,L.G Chairmen earn, what about their convoys, personal assistants, estacodes?

Let the president start to cut down on his own personal allowances and the governors,L.G Chairmen if they are sincere in what they preach. God bless Nigeria.

Properties / Three Storey Building Collased In Lagos by humebuloe: 2:33am On Jan 03, 2012
A three storey building under construction has collapsed in Mafoloku area of Oshodi in Lagos, according to an eye witness, there was a huge sound from behind and on looking back behold the crumbling of the building under construction.

A staff of lagos state emergency relief board whose on the site told naija2day that there were eight men working in the site when the building collapsed, three were confirmed dead and the rest with various degrees of injuries are now recieving treatment at various undisclosed hospitals in the state.

He advised builders and property owners to make use of professionals whenever they are reconstructing their buildings or ereccting a new one.

It was said that the collaped building was sold to new landlord who later decided to make it a three storey building without recourse to the dangers inherent in such exercise as to whether the structure can still carry the reconstruction being carried out.

Naija2day say it has been two many a collapse of buildings in lagos and calls on appropriate regulatory authorities to always inspect wherever construction and or reconstruction work is going on in the state to ensure compliance to standards.

Politics / Boko Haram Or Terrorism? by humebuloe: 9:11pm On Jan 02, 2012
BOKO HARAM OR TERRORISM?
With the recent happening in the country about the activities of

the boko haram group, one will begin to wonder wheather there is

any other agenda the grouip is pursuing instead of being against

western education as their name literally suggest.

The series of attacks carried against people of opposite religion

especially the one carried out on christmas day at various

locations across the country cast a doubt on the agenda of the

group.

From the activities thay have carried out so far including the

bombing of the UN house in Abuja, the group is another OSAMA

BIN LADEN in Nigeria.
It is a terrorist group and the better the government

understand them by their activities rather by the name they

bear the better for the government itself and for the governed.

Any contrary view?

Politics / Ghana Removed Fuel Subsidy Before Nigeria by humebuloe: 8:57pm On Jan 02, 2012
Ghana Removed Fuel Subsidy before Nigeria,
Nigeria’s next door neighbor Ghana, which joined the oil producing countries league in West Africa last year, acceded to

International Monetary Fund clamor for removal of fuel subsidies last week.
According to Ghana's National Petroleum Authority (NPA), the cut became imminent due to an increase in crude oil prices and the depreciation of the Ghana cedi currency. Alex Mould, the Chief Executive Officer of the NPA, said the cumulative effect of the rise in crude oil prices this year and the about 5.7% depreciation of the cedi meant a 25% increase in cedi terms in the cost of procuring crude oil and petroleum products since January. Ghana has spent about 450
