PoliticsBiography of IPOB's New Lawyer, Dr Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN) by humy2020(op):
Born in Onitsha, Anambra State on 15th April, 1959, trained in the United States of America and attended Evanston College, Lake Forest College and Oklahoma City University where he obtained the degree of Doctor of Juridical Science in 1982 In 1984, he was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Dr. Onyechi Ikpeazu has been in active legal practice till date and has served as Chairman of the Onitsha Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association and a NEC (National Executive Council) member of the national body, NBA. In recognition of his advocacy skills in 2002 he was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, (SAN) and in 2007, he was honoured by the Federal Republic of Nigeria under President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua with the National Honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger, (OON).

He is a fellow at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is also a member of the Nigerian Body of Benchers. Some of the landmark cases handled by Dr. Ikpeazu include MOJEKWU V. MOJEKWU; MOJEKWU V. IWUCHUKWU preserving the inheritance right of a woman; NGIGE V OBI reported in (2006) 14 NWLR (Part 999) 1, a decision that brought Mr. Peter Obi to office as the duly elected Governor of Anambra State. His adroit display of rare forensic advocacy skills led to the trail-blazing decision of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in the case of OBI v INEC (2007)11NWLR (Part 1046)565, which case effectively re-calibrated the election metric rule in the hitherto uniform quadrennial elections into the office of Governors of States in Nigeria. Consequently, a candidate who was wrongly kept out of office after an election he rightly won, would still enjoy un-interrupted his four-year tenure guaranteed under the extant Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with effect from the date he took Oath of Office as the Governor of the State, barring such other circumstances as death and impeachment. Dr. Ikpeazu conducted the defence of INEC in several election Petitions including the Presidential Election Petition that arose from the General Election in 2011 He also led the defence of INEC in several Governorship Election Petitions arising from the 2015 General election, including;

NYSCNYSC Scraps Accredited Online Registration Centres Nationwide by humy2020(op): 5:24pm On Oct 08, 2019
The National Youth Service Corps Corps (NYSC) has scrapped its online accredited registration centres Nationwide.

Nyscinfo.com independently verified that the agency has removed the list of approved registration centres from its official website.

The exact date the list of NYSC accredited registration centres was removed from the NYSC official website is still unknown.

Before the removal of the NYSC accredited registration centres from the official website, accredited cyber café nationwide can be found at http://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/RegistrationCentres.aspx, but as at today there is no more trace of it on the official website of NYSC.

However, we advise anyone registring for NYSC to always use NYSC approved finger print reader for biometric capturing.

The NYSC approved finger print reader is Digital Persona 4500.

NYSCThings That Are Not Needed In The NYSC Camp by humy2020(op): 8:25pm On Oct 06, 2019
Here is a list of things you do not need in an NYSC Orientation camp.

1. MATTRESS: The Camp would provide that for everyone, so you don’t have to take any there. It would be excess luggage and in most camps if you meet the ‘wrong’ officials it would be seized.

2. CUTLERY: You might be surprised, but yes, they seize them except spoons. Knives, fork and even metal spoons are seized because it is believed that Otondos use them for negative things.

3. SOPHISTICATED GADGETS: Things like iPads, big tablets, laptops etc. These attract thieves and they are not necessary. In my previous post I said that you could take your PSP, games and novels in case you get bored.

In fact for those who have smartphones, BlackBerries, iPhones etc. you do not need others. You should take just that to camp. At least the lesser you carry, the better for you to watch. It reduces the likelihood of it being stolen, misplaced or damaged.

4. BIG/EXCESS LUGGAGE: There is no need to stress yourself in carrying things you won’t need. When you are packing, ensure you check my previous post on what to take. Those are the necessities.

Also on your first day, you would have to be moving around with your luggage or where you will be forced to put it on your head. Yes. On your head. God help you if yours is heavy. hmmm this is where OYO (on your own) wakes up.

If you get the top bunk, you might not have space to store the said suitcase. Think it’ll attract thieves. The more it looks like you have, the higher the chances you’ll be targeted for theft.

5. PRESSING IRON: It would be seized from you and won’t get it back till camp is over. Also, most camps don’t have sockets in the rooms and some don’t even have electricity in the rooms allocated for corps members.

6. FOOD FLASK: If you think you will hate Mammy food. It is unecessary you may end up not using it. During my time, it was useless to me because I didn’t eat camp food. I fed on almighty mammy food. lol. Actually, when I got to camp, I did buy one but it ended up being useless to me.

7. CAR: Why on earth would you take your car to camp? Are you trying to impress babes (for the guys) or oppress the officials?? It is not necessary. Some very strict camps would send you away or your tires would be deflated. It could be at a risk of being stolen.

9. Pets: This is actually an offence. You will not be registered or you will be decamped if you’re already registered.

Business10 Businesses To Start In Nigeria With Less Than N20,000 by humy2020(op): 4:10pm On Aug 31, 2019
1. Pet Sitting: Become a paid pet sitter with an investment of $0 thanks to one of many dog sitting services out there. It's usually free to join and create a profile. Rover.com and dogvacay.com are popular services.

2. House Sitting: Most people need a reliable, trustworthy house sitter at one point or another. Start offering your services to stay in peoples' homes and care for pets, plants, and the property right in your neighborhood.

3. Babysitting: Advertise your childcare services for free on Craigslist, Care.com and other services, then start watching other people's kids for no investment (other than the gas to get there).

4. Blogging and Promoting: Set up your own website using a free service like Wix or Wordpress and start creating original content for the world to see.

Then, utilize online services that can help you promote your blog through social media and other avenues. ClickBank.com is an example. Once you gain traction, some of these services will even let you use the money you make on commissions to help promote other people.

5. Direct Sales: Trying the direct sales route can cost as low as $10 depending on the company. Avon and Mary Kay are some of the more famous companies in this space. The initial fee usually covers membership, training, marketing tools, and samples.

6. Selling Used Books: Sell books that are sitting around your house for a profit on one of several online sites like BookScouter.com. Once you start making money, you can buy more expensive used books and sell them for even more.

7. Cleaning: Clean houses, windows, or cars for less than $20 by purchasing basic cleaning supplies and marketing yourself to friends and family members.

8. Driving for Uber or Lyft: It's free to sign up to drive for Uber and Lyft. If your vehicle doesn't meet the required standards, try a rental solution from either of the two.

9. Consulting: If there's something you know quite a bit about (website design, health and beauty, knitting, etc.) consider becoming a consultant.

This is of course easier said than done and can take a while. You'll want to obtain any licenses that are necessary, research and choose which customers to target, all the while building your network so you can get to know the right people.

10. Tutoring: Market tutoring skills for free with people you know and online platforms such as Facebook and LinkedIn. Many of the online services even help tutors find tutors themselves so they can expand what they teach.
