I am not opposed to seaport at Akwa ibom , it's all good for the region. if there can be two or three seaports at Lagos then why not on akwacross side. Stop your wicked and ungrateful mentality.
And as for the ikot offiong and oku iboku clash, it's a communal fight between brothers that has existed even before state creation, it has nothing to do with akwa ibom/cross river. and as for the judge not being appointed, it is simple political logic with regard to pending inter state legal issues and has nothing to do with efik hate ibibio or anything. The Obong of Calabar recommended two akwa ibomites (Esin -Oron and Bassey-Eket) to be appointed as commissioners , but now your wicked and ungrateful akwa ibom mind is saying you colonize or taking over .

The current Calabar port is too interior , river is shallow and requires frequent dredging . It was refurbished and expanded by military because it was already in existence used for slave /colonial trade. They were reluctant to build a brand new one .
The port was suppose to be dredged 8 months ago,but Buhari decided it's waste of funds and should go towards the deep seaport instead .
The newly appointed Nigerian Port Authority Chairman,Akin Ricketts is even Cross Riverian
The location has been cleared , all compensations paid , all feasibility studies,survey,paper work and approval by FG all done , and there's been minor work going on there . There are firms showing interest in partnership. what more do you need? Those other people talking about deep seaport, have you seen any photos or evidence except propaganda videos and news ? their fantasy seaport site is still swampy and thick forest . yet their propaganda machinery said the seaport is starting operation in 2021. Is that what you want to believe than actual fact and reality ?
I think the governor has good intentions , don't forget Cross river is no longer an oil producing state yet the governor put in all effort to see the seaport become reality. The Calabar deep port ,at 20 metres will be the deepest in West Africa when completed. Akwa ibom deep port is 16.7 metres, Lekki deep port is 16.5 metres . The current Calabar river port is 6 meters , the current Apapa port is 10 meters. The current deepest port in West Africa is Lome Port at 16 Meters.

The problem with you cross riverian with Akwa Ibomite is the problem Nigeria and Ghana has. Finally you have a good news I was even planning to celebrate you people the next thing you started insulting other people (Akwa Ibomite & Lagosian) calling their own port a propaganda. Everything you owned in that state was built and is owned by Akwa Ibom people .. There is nothing revolutionary or trailblazing or innovatory about that structure. It is just basic. And the pictures inside is also very basic. So why use claim of state of the art. It is not peculiar to Akwa Ibom, I see this alot in PH and almost every Nigerian state I've been to.

THIS IS THE BRAND NEW GENERAL HOSPITAL, AWA, ONNA LGA

The General Hospital Awa, Onna is nearing completion, another testimony of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s investments in boosting Healthcare delivery for the people of Akwa Ibom state.

The vision according to Sir Charles Udoh, the State Info Commissioner is to ensure that at least one state-of-the-art health institution is reached in any of the 3 Senatorial districts of the state within one hour driving space.

That explains why it became expedient for government to remodel, equip and upgrade health institutions across the state, with the General Hospital Awa, as one of them.

The massive work in the health sector in Akwa Ibom State has so far witnessed upgrading, computerization and digitization of 7 secondary health institutions across the 3 Senatorial districts of the State, namely: General Hospital Ikono, General Hospital Ikot Okoro, General Hospital Etinan, General Hospital Iquita Oron, General Hospital Ituk Mbang, Immanuel General Hospital Eket and the ongoing General Hospital Awa. Recently, the Governor built a brand new world class 300 bed Infectious disease hospital, with doctors quarters and PCR Laboratory.

With the upgrade, the 55-bed General Hospital, Awa has received a boost in staff strength from the hitherto one Doctor and five nurses to Five Doctors and thirteen Nurses.

In addition all Departments, Units and Wards available in any other General Hospital in the state and indeed the country, are opened, with the complete compartmentalization of the hospital in addition to equipping it with modern state-of-the-arts medical facilities.

The hospital is 70% ready. Day & Night work at full string at the hospital.
