Ibeno Transition Chairman Receives Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Tourism and Management of Landmark Hotel & Beach Resort.

The Transition Chairman of Ibeno Local Government Area Rt Hon.Elder Emma Ibok (JP) yesterday Saturday 11th May 2024 received the Commissioner for Tourism Sir Charles Udoh on an economic engagement with Landmark Hotel & Beach Resort who were in Ibeno to invest in tourism sector.

Sir Charles Udoh described Ibeno as peaceful and promising with prospects as the best location for Landmark Hotel & Beach Resort and expressed confidence that the investment will attract development to Ibeno and the entire state.

The Transition Chairman Rt Hon. Elder Emma Ibok thanked His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno for his love, passion, and concern in the affairs of Ibeno and the Commissioner for Tourism Sir Charles Udoh for the wonderful work he is doing in tourism sector to attract investors to Akwa Ibom State while acknowledging the project to be a welcome development to Ibeno people.

He promised to work with all relevant stakeholders to ensure a conducive environment for Landmark as the presence of the company will translate to more jobs opportunity to the teaming youths of Ibeno.

Presents at this round table discussion were:
Sir Charles Udoh - the Commissioner for Tourism, Rt Hon Elder Emma Ibok - Transition Chairman, Elder Hon Ikoedem Ekong - Vice Chairman, MS Blessing Abakam - Council Secretary, Mr Kingsley Asuquo - project facilitator, and all Supervisors.

If he is clueless about what he should do, he should go for tutelage mbok!!!!. What happened to building new markets and incentivizing relocation? On Itam market days, people display their wares ANYWHERE, I MEAN ANYWHERE- streets, pedestrians lanes, flower beds, on top of fountains, road medians, under the flyover, etc. Same thing at the Ikot Oku Ikono flyover (that one is even worse!!!., Even the new third ring road, people are displaying wares in the pedestrian lanes and even the medians at junctions, Ibom plaza is another sick one. Let me not talk about public transportation. Akwa Ibom is not known for this mediocrity!!! Wike is building 12 floyovers and nobody is allowed to display anything under there but with our clueless boy governor here anything goes!!!!! Are the fountains at Itam working? Uyo is dark at Night. With the amount of billions of naira that come in as exposed by wike, the man and his team are either weak and clueless or greedy and stupid simple!!!!!, he should shift for someone who knows what to do about urban planning and development as it doesn't start and end with awarding 3rd ring to a contractor who hasn't finished the road yet, he ran to commission it. Uyo, as we speak, needs more than 10 new markets (well-built ones), Uyo master plan should be revisited and things should be put in proper perspective. How can he know what is happening in the state when his heart and soul is in Lagos May 2023 should come oooo so that he can run back to Tinubu's backyard in Lagos where he is planning retirement and leave Akwa Ibom for us.
