Abi nau....I know a particular state that has so many flyovers and yet,most of the connected to those flyovers have been as worse as they are before the flyovers were constructed. The flyovers are there now but the roads also remain untouched.

Its so shameful this is what we celebrate as a nation. So many longest, tallest, highest and largest records that do not positively affect the lives of the people.
Provision of infrastructure is good and necessary, but all these grandiose commissioning is not necessary. I am not against any government building flyovers.
The real gist is in the scheme of everything, is this the most urgent and pressing need?
Public officials spend so much time and involvement in construction projects because of its propensity to hide fraud by bloated figures.
What are the transportation/logistics indices in that axis before the bridge so we can compare in 6 months time to find out if the cost benefit was worth it.
I recall people trooping to malls when they opened and 80% of them couldn't even buy a coke bottle, nor did they go back home and standards of living improved.

Buhari and Amaechi China trains haven't reduced cost of inter state transport, nor has it helped bring food produce from the farms quicker to city, or take imported products quicker to the interior parts of the country.
Wouldn't it be better if we didn't build railways and used all those $bn loans to guarantee free Pri 1 to JSS3 education nationwide? A more literate and educated population will contribute more to GDP and we can build railways ourselves in the future.
