When Obasanjo ruled, Nigeria was one of the world's fastest growing economies in the world, growing faster than the united states and China, with robust savings and strong currency. When the whole world experienced economic meltdown in 2008, Nigeria was exempted, due to massive savings from the Obasanjo administration.
