BusinessDangote Extends Partnership With Cnn by huthmanadam(op): 8:27am On Dec 28, 2016
Dangote Group has taken an investment decision to extend its multi-year partnership with CNN International, with its new focus on Africa’s Energy. The Africa’s Energy Surge reports air daily in flagship CNN International shows, The CNNMoney View with Nina Dos Santos and the World Right Now with Hala Gorani, culminating in a special 30-minute show airing from Saturday 17 December. The reports and special show, which look at how Africa will meet the UN goal of universal electricity by 2030, are to be aligned with Dangote billboards and branding.

According to the Chairman and CEO of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, electricity is ‘key’ to Africa’s economic growth and development. It is estimated that more than two-thirds of over 1billion people living in Africa do not have access to electricity. In Nigeria, the Dangote Group is investing billions of dollars in gas projects that can produce enough gas to generate 12,000 MW of power. This will go a long way in bridging the massive electricity deficit in the country. Beyond Nigeria, the Group is also spearheading efforts to increase access to electricity through investments in energy projects across Africa.

Speaking at the African Energy Leaders Group (AELG), Dangote noted that the group, as an advocacy group (he co-founded), is strongly committed to improving on Africa energy growth and development. According to him, the group is working closely with lawmakers in the United States, to ensure success of laudable initiatives such as the Electrify Africa Act and the Power Africa initiative, which are designed to double electricity access in sub-Saharan Africa, and ultimately place the continent in a position to meet the United Nations’ goal of having Universal Electricity access by 2030.

Utilising CNN Audience Insight Measurement (AIM), the digital sponsored content is targeted to reach business decision-makers, business travellers, investors, opinion leaders and c-suites - ensuring that Dangote’s message about the Group providing basic needs across Africa reaches relevant audiences across multiple platforms. This high impact campaign is part of Dangote Group continuing its multi-year partnership with CNN including sponsorship of the high-profile Facetime interview segment in the network’s flagship Africa business show CNN Marketplace Africa. In addition, a new brand building TV commercial produced by CNN International Commercial’s branded content studio Create will air on CNN International and US networks, and native content about the Dangote Foundation will be published on CNN Digital.

PoliticsPmb, Appoint Competent Youths by huthmanadam(op): 8:16am On Dec 28, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet is 14 months old now. When his list of ministerial nominees that was widely rumored and eagerly awaited was released, several assumptions and speculations about the portfolios each and every nominee would take were made by experts and ordinary citizens, but they turned out to be rather incorrect. Even the Senate that screened the nominees did their questioning in anticipation of the portfolio each nominee might be assigned based on their respective qualifications, working experiences and life careers. Buhari defeated the people’s thoughts and predictions. He kept his card close to his chest and they speculated wrong.

The appointment of the nominees’ to head their respective Ministries following their confirmation by the Senate was fraught with expressions of concern which the media publicized. What was of concern the most to me about the appointments was the injustice with which the competent and deserving youths that brought this government into power were visited. We the youth are being denied fair representation of our age group despite the fact that we are more than 60% of the entire Nigerian population.

In his early thirties, Buhari became a governor and minister. We the youth of today below thirty years of age never knew the time when Buhari was the Military Head of State. We only heard of his meritorious service geared up by the youthful exuberance of a forty-year-old gallant soldier. He is now turning a blind eye to the youth of that age category, denying them the opportunity of being part of his cabinet which they are competent enough to be part of. Buhari’s ministers and political appointees are old enough to rest and let the youth spearhead the battle. How can a Second Republic minister be a minister in the present times? Are we lacking competent youth? Why on earth should the old breeds keep occupying positions supposed to be occupied by their grandchildren? Don’t they want to leave lasting legacies? If Buhari will not give us the opportunity now, then when? If Buhari will not give us the opportunity at all, then who would? For God’s sake, why won’t the nobodies be allowed to become somebodies?

It is almost exactly 19 months since Buhari took office. Still ringing in the heads of many Nigerians are his many campaign promises, implementation of which has been marked by incompetence and scandals. Where are our N5000 allowances that the Number Two citizen kept talking about? How about the HUAWEI ICT training, the Bank of Industry loan, the N-Power Program and the Police recruitment? Will all these when summed up create the 2 million jobs enshrined in the APC manifesto and promised during campaign?

It is time for Buhari to do away with his incompetent ministers and political appointees that are part of these and other scandals he is presently dealing with. These corrupt people are still energetic and can win the war while Buhari is old enough that he can be relieved of some religious obligations. What he should be doing is grooming the youth for this intellectual and fierce fight like Obasanjo did with El-Rufai, Nuhu Ribado and their likes. He should begin by appointing competent youths because the fight against corruption is much too crucial to be lost. He should know that the youth will not continue to keep faith with him any longer if he fails to include them in his cabinet and other spheres of governance. Come 2017, we will find our own way. We will go for the highest bidder.

PoliticsFleeing Boko Haram Member Arrested In Abuja by huthmanadam(op): 8:06am On Dec 28, 2016
A middle-aged man suspected to be one of the fleeing members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect has been arrested by officials of a security agency recently established by the Abuja Municipal Area Council popularly known as AMAC Marshal in the Federal Capital Territory.

A statement issued on Tuesday night by the spokesman of the AMAC Marshal, Kingsley Madaki, said the suspect, who gave his name as Usman, was nabbed at exactly 4:30 pm at Utako market shortly after he arrived at the premises. According to him, the suspect was apprehended “with a Qur’an and a chaplet on his neck while trying to lobby people in the market.”

The statement said the suspected Boko Haram member has, however, “confessed that there are many of his colleagues in the city.” While calling on the residents of AMAC and the FCT especially to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement to AMAC Marshal personnel, Madaki said the organisation was out to ensure the safety of property and lives of the residents.

PoliticsRobert Smith Sponsoring Chibok Girls That Were Released by huthmanadam(op): 7:41pm On Dec 27, 2016
A black American billionaire, Mr. Robert Smith, is currently sponsoring the education of 24 Chibok schoolgirls, among them, the first set of escapees from Boko Haram at the American University of Nigeria, Yola. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, made this known in a statement on Monday.

Shehu stated that the 21 Chibok girls recently released were being treated as adoptees of the Federal Government. He, however, added that there was a lot of local and international interest "in the future plans of the girls." He said Smith had offered to pay for the education of the 21 Chibok grils released through negotiations and was offering to take responsibility for all the others "who will hopefully be eventually set free."

The presidential spokesman said the Murtala Mohammed Foundation in the country was equally interested in sponsoring the Chibok girls' education. On the complaints by some parents of the 21 Chibok girls that they did not have enough room for interaction with their daughters brought home for Christmas by the Department of State Security (DSS), Shehu admitted that there were some hitches arising from a lack of understanding of the objective of the trip on the part of some security operatives.

He, however, disclosed that following the receipt of the complaint, a directive had been given "from the headquarters for the access by the parents to be eased. "If the situation persists, please, let us know so that the higher authorities will make a further intercession."

''Yar iska ce'', ''Yar banza ce'', ''Allah ya shima ta albarka'', '' I'am not surprised, ai yar Kd ce''. These were the varios reactions that trailed the recently banned Kannywood Actress Rahama Sadau for appearing in the ''supposed compromising'' Classiq's music video

I actually heard about the incident before I saw the ''compromising'' music video. Honestly speaking, I was disappointed when I saw the actual video because it seems there was a lot of exaggeration of what she did and didn't do in the video.

First of all, I would like to point out that Rahama Sadau is an Adult and as as such is responsible for anything she does on her own. Even if she did sin, as many people did say she did, only her and her alone will bear the burden and carry her cross, so why all the fuss?

Comparing her ''supposed'' bad behavior in the music video with other actions such as hugging and kissing which big Actors like Ali Nuhu do is just a pointless argument. Ali Nuhu is a BOSS, He is literally untouchable and has been in the game for so long. Lets all face it, from the North to the South, infact the whole world as a whole, IT'S A MAN'S WORLD. One perfect example to prove it's a man's world is what happened during the recently concluded USA Elections.

Another point I would like to point out has to do with the fact that Rahama Sadau is from Kaduna, was born and brought up there. It's common knowledge here in the North, that Kaduna people are more socially inclined and hence, maybe another reason she got banned.

Personally, I think She didn't give much thought of how controversial the music video would turn out to be, considering the kind of environment she is in and as a Muslim she should have known better. But again who are we not to forgive, everday we sin one way or the other and we constantly ask God for forgivness, hoping and praying that we would be forgiven because NO ONE IS PERFECT.

EVERYONE DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE AND FORGIVENESS IS KEY.

Politics''more To Come'' Says Pmb by huthmanadam(op): 2:18pm On Dec 23, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari commends Lagos and Kebbi States for the successful partnership that gave rise to the local production of LAKE Rice (Lagos-Kebbi Rice). The president particularly salutes the commitment of Governors Akinwunmi Ambode and Atiku Bagudu in bringing to fruition the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in March 2016 on substantially meeting the country’s rice requirement.

He also expresses delight at the relatively cheaper price of LAKE Rice especially at this period of recession “It gladdens my heart to get reports of our citizens rushing to purchase this cheaper local rice to enable them and their families enjoy the Christmas and New Year celebrations,” the President notes.

According to President Buhari, what the two states have done is “evidence of a new base being laid for the Nigerian economy, founded and propelled by agriculture, away from substantial dependence on oil and gas for national revenue.” The President recalls that in his 2017 Budget presentation before the National Assembly, he said that “a new era is rising in which we must grow what we eat and consume what we make,” adding that the LAKE Rice achievement is in furtherance of the above goal.

While urging other state governments to replicate the laudable example of LAKE Rice in other staple crops and dairy products, President Buhari pledges the Federal Government’s readiness to continue to support such initiatives by providing the enabling environment, policies and incentives for agriculture to thrive in order for the nation to achieve food security. The President remains optimistic that going forward, Nigeria will attain rice sufficiency by 2019.

Mitali says Pragya and Suresh threatened her to make a strong case against Raj and he will never come out of jail. She got scared and said all this, but when Abhi said that Mitali will be blamed for Daadi’s condition, she couldn’t lie anymore. Pragya asks Mitali what she is saying. Mitali says she won’t scare from her anymore. She is between her family and they all trust her. Aaliya interrupts and says she brought another proof against her today by herself and asks Abhi he wanted to give her another chance?

Pragya tells Abhi to believe her. Abhi says he needs proof, he doesn’t trust her words. He does what he says, after 24 hours he will throw her out of the house. 5 hours are done and she only has 19 hours now. He leaves. Pragya looks at Mitali with shock. She too walks away. Purab meets Bulbul and says his friend traced phone from which MMS was sent and it was Aakash’s. He traced the phone, but couldn’t trace the number. Purab calls Aakash to his house saying he needs to talk about Abhi’s concert. Pragya comes to her room. Abhi tells her what a performance! He knew about her magic, drama, etc, but didn’t know she threatens people as well. He’s angry, but he won’t frustrate. He has decided he won’t take any tension for her. She has gone to the lowest level and she has got punishment as well. Tomorrow she will leave the house so why he bothershimself for one night.

Pragya says she won’t leave without proving herself innocent. Abhi continues lecturing her that her relationship has ended with most of everyone. She will never come out of this mess. Daadi will be sad, but he will take her out of sorrow. After that she can go wherever she wants and make any kind of videos she wants. Pragya says, enough. She took time to prove her innocent and she will make sure she does that. She doesn’t know future of their relationship, whether they will be together or no, but she will never let any stain be on her forehead with that sindhoor. Both look at each other.

Tanu, Aaliya, Mitali come to a room. Tanu asks what’s going on and asks Mitali why she had to take all blame on herself. Aaliya tells Tanu it’s her fault. Instead going behind Pragya, she was spending time with Abhi. Aaliya then says how she followed Mitali and heard her conversation with Pragya. She warns Mitali and lets her go this time.

Tanu says Pragya still has time to find proof. Aaliya says they will make sure that doesn’t happen. Purab yells at Aakash, but he refuses about doing anything. He can never do anything like this. In fact, he respects Pragya a lot. Purab asks who sent that video then. Aakash says he was very busy that day and he doesn’t know. When he finds out, he himself will come to Purab and Bulbul because he doesn’t trust that video either. Pragya thinks how to prove herself innocent now. She trusted Mitali bhabhi, but she created more mess. Just then she sees a guy checking camera in the house. She follows him and asks how many days recording it stores.

The guy says 5 days and she asks him for a copy. Purab and Bulbul discuss about MMS. Bulbul is very worried. Sarla sees them together and slaps Bulbul. She tells her a lot of harsh stuff that she doesn’t care about her mother or sister, only does what she wants. She even says all mothers should get a daughter like Pragya and even if a childless mother gets a daughter like Bulbul, then it’s better to be childless. Bulbul gets shocked. Purab loses his cool and starts telling Sarla why she always takes Bulbul wrong. She doesn’t even know what all Bulbul is doing for Pragya and Sarla herself. Bulbul tries to stop Purab, but he doesn’t stop saying he can’t see Sarla doing this kind of partiality in her daughters.Bulbul tells him he can’t talk like that to her mum. He says, Sarla can’t talk like that to her either. He keeps going that Bulbul doesn’t let Sarla find out anything because of her weak heart and after heartattack incident, she has got even more scared. In all this, he speaks out about MMS. Sarla then demands to know about it.

Bulbul says he’s just lying, not to listen to him, but Sarla asks Purab about it. Purab tells her everything. Bulbul asks him what did he do. Sarla then wants to meet Pragya. Pragya gets her CD. Mitali’s daughter comes and tells her Sarla came to meet her. Pragya thinks where to hide CD. Tanu comes in and Pragya quickly hides the CD between books. Pragya asks her why she came there. Tanu says to give another bad news in her unlucky life. She informs Pragya Sarla looks very worried and it seems she saw MMS video. Pragya gets shocked. Tanu tells her to go fast before she gets heart attack. Pragya leaves. Tanu thinks what Pragya was hiding between the books and she checks there. She seems to have found the CD. Pragya comes in the hall. Sarla looks at her. Pragya thinks Sarla also seems to have found out about MMS and fears for her heath. Pragya comes to Sarla and can’t look into her eyes. Mother and daughter hug then. Sarla tells Pragya not to worry, her mother is here. Whether anyone trusts her or no, she will always trust her. She asks why she didn’t tell her.

Was she afraid about her health? She asks when Pragya will get happiness. Aaliya and Tanu come there. Aaliya asks Raj’s mum what drama is going on. Raj’s mum is furious and lectures Sarla for morals and values she has given to her daughters. Pragya stops Sarla from saying anything, but Sarla moves her on side and goes to Raj’s mum. She asks her if she even knows what’s morals. Mitali enjoys this. Sarla tells her to first look at what values she has given to her son (Aakash) and then raise finger at others.

She then says she hasn’t come here to lecture anyone, she just came to tell that she trusts on her daughter. It’s only because of her values, Pragya is staying in her sasural no matter how many problems she has to face. She tells everyone she doesn’t know why they are doing all this, but she won’t let Pragya stay in this house anymore. She tells Pragya to go to her house where all respect her, care of her. She holds Pragya’s hand and takes her, but Pragya says she can’t go with her. It’s only her who taught that no place is perfect, you have to make it perfect. Sarla asks her for how long she will suffer. Pragya says if she leaves, then all her accusations will be like true. She can’t see people raising finger at Sarla’s parvarish and she wants to prove herself innocent. Everyone can be wrong, but not mother’s parvirsh, faith, morals.

To prove that, she will need to prove herself innocent. If she has to leave the house, then she will leave with her head high and with same respect she came with. All Abhi’s family members leave. Sarla tells Pragya everyone should get daughter like her. She gives her permission to stay. Sarla suddenly remembers about Daadi and asks if she doesn’t trust her either. Pragya tells her about what happened to her. Sarla freezes. Aakash is wondering who can send MMS from his phone. He remembers Tanu asking him for his phone. He asks himself what he’s thinking. Sarla goes and sees Daadi. She asks Pragya what doctor said. Pragya says she doesn’t know, no one is telling her anything. She tells Sarla not to worry, she was just worried about her. But seeing her strength and support, she also got encouragement now.

She will return with her respect and right in this house. Sarla tells her she will surely succeed, just don’t lose strength and stay with truth. She hugs her. Pragya says she is close to that and thinks about CD. She comes to her room and can’t find CD. She remembers about Tanu. She searches harder and manages to find it. She plays the CD and sees Mitali talking to someone about their plan and spreading bolberings. Other persona’s face can’t be seen. Pragya is relieved. Sarla and Bulbul are heading to their home. Sarla is tensed. Bulbul tells her not to be tensed, all will be okay. Just have faith on Pragya.

Pragya is smiling as she finally got the proof. She looks at Abhi’s photo and says he will have to believe whatever she says about their relationship is not wrong. Along with her, it will also prove that a woman kumkum’s bhag is always with her. And then.. She gets quiet as Abhi walks in. She puts his photo down. Abhi is leaving. She stops him and says she’s done it. Abhi asks what? She says she proved herself right. Abhi says he needs proof. Pragya says she got CCTV footage where Mitali is spreading bolberings so she falls down. Suresh just came to save her as a friend. She asks why she’s talking and shows the footage to him. Abhi is embarrassed and has no words. Pragya says she kept saying this to him and there was another person with her, but she doesn’t know who that was. She doesn’t know why they are doing this to her, but all this don’t matter.

Only thing that matters is what he thinks of her. She says she doesn’t know if he’s satisfied or no, but she is satisfied that she didn’t let their relationship, Daadi’s trust get shamed. She maintained herself in front of Abhi. She further says he makes mistake in knowing people, he just believes what he sees, hears. But sometimes, you need to feel the truth, especially him because there are many people around him who just act to be good. She says she doesn’t want anyone’s bad and Daadi who loves her so much, why she would do bad to her. Seeing her in problem, she can’t live peacefully. She sees Abhi looking at it and gets quiet. She walks away and then stops. She tells him she always wanted his happiness. It’s him who keeps hurting her without thinking what she goes through.

She doesn’t say anything, but how she can stay quiet this time especially when she has seen good side of him, when she started loving him.. Abhi turns her to him and hugs. He thanks her. He says, you’re right. I was wrong to think all this about you. I had feeling you can’t do all this, my Daadi’s choice can’t be wrong. That was in my heart, but there was that video in front of my eyes. But you sorted out everything now. Daadi will also recover and there will be no effect on my name, reputation. All this happened because of your faith, you had faith on yourself and now I also have faith in you. They hug. Samjhawaan song plays.

Pragya looks very happy. This all turns out to be her imagination… which breaks when car horns. She was hugging a pillow instead. She thinks Abhi came, she will show CD to him and her dream will become true. Aaliya and Tanu are already thinking about celebration as Pragya will be out of this house tomorrow morning and till then she won’t get any proof.

Mitali comes and asks what they are talking about celebration? She tells them she just saw Pragya going out of her room and she looked very happy. Seems like she got some proof and Abhi has also reached. All get shocked and leave the room in hurry. Pragya stops Abhi and says she brought the proof of her innocence. Mitali, Tanu, Aaliya get shocked. Pragya has CD in her hands, but Abhi is not giving any attention to her.

Over 5,000 members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). The defectors included former local government chairmen, councillors, Special Advisers and host of other notable politicians in the state.
The event, which held at the Government House in Lokoja yesterday, saw the new APC entrants moving to the party with thousands of their supporters and they were received by the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

Speaking on behalf of the defectors, the leader of the group, Hon. Musa Abdullahi, said their decision to join the APC was informed by Governor Bello’s exemplary leadership style in the state. He commended the governor for paying the outstanding allowances owed by the past PDP administration in the state. Governor Bello, while welcoming the defectors, promised them that he will be fair to all.

“By this singular act today who have seized to be a member of the opposition in the state and I promised that I will work with you in our New Direction Agenda Policy,” Bello said. The governor appealed to them to align themselves with the vision of his government, which, he noted, is hinged on the principles of fairness, transparency, justice and equality.

President-elect Donald Trump has received a majority in the US Electoral College as votes from Texas electors put him over the 270 threshold.

Monday’s result confirmed as expected Trump’s election as the 45th president of the United States.

The Electoral College appeared unswayed by a last-ditch bid by die-hard opponents to bar the Republican’s path to the White House.

EducationWhy You Should Take Coffee In The Morning by huthmanadam(op): 6:19am On Dec 20, 2016
Caffeine, the most widely consumed psychoactive substance in the world, is the best known ingredient of coffee. Its beneficial effects on the human body has been researched quite well, but coffee as a whole is a complex beverage with a thousand different substances. Some studies argue that decaf and caffeinated coffee may have the same health effects and suggest that it’s not the caffeine that is responsible for most of coffee's health benefits.

Research on coffee and it's pros and cons for humans is nowhere near finished, but here is a list of what we know at the moment:

Coffee boosts your physical performance. Have a cup of black coffee about an hour before workout and your performance can improve by 11-12%.

Caffeine increases adrenaline levels in your blood. Adrenaline is your body’s “fight or flight” hormone which helps you to prepare for physical exertion.

Coffee may help you lose weight. Coffee contains magnesium and potassium, which helps the human body use insulin, regulating blood sugar levels and reducing your craving for sugary treats and snacks.

Coffee helps you burn fat. Caffeine helps fat cells break down body fat and use it as fuel for training.

Coffee helps you focus and stay alert. Moderate caffeine intake, 1-6 cups a day, helps you focus and improves your mental alertness.

Coffee lowers risk of death. Studies have shown that coffee drinker’s overall risk of premature death is 25% lower than of those who don’t drink coffee.

Coffee reduces risk of cancers. One study has shown that coffee may decrease the risk of developing prostate cancer in men by 20 %, and endometrial cancer in women by 25 %. People in the test group drank four cups of coffee a day. Caffeine may also prevent developing of basal cell carcinoma, the most common type of skin cancer

Coffee reduces risk of stroke. Reasonable consumption of coffee (2–4 cups a day) is associated with lower risk of stroke.

Coffee reduces risk of Parkinson’s disease. Studies have shown that regular coffee drinking decreases risk of Parkinson’s disease by 25 %. There’s evidence that coffee causes activity in the part of the brain affected by Parkinson’s.

Coffee protects your body. Coffee contains a lot of antioxidants, that work as little warriors fighting and protecting against free radicals within your body.

Coffee may lower risk of Type II diabetes. Caffeine decreases your insulin sensitivity and impairs glucose tolerance, therefore reduces your risk of type 2 diabetes.

Coffee protects your brain. High caffeine levels in your blood reduce the risk of Alzheimer disease. It also lowers risk of dementia.
Coffee brightens your mood, helps fight depression and lowers risk of suicide. Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system and boosts production of neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and noradrenaline, which elevate your mood. Two cups of coffee a day prevents risk of suicide by 50 %

EducationStrange Things People Do In Their Sleep by huthmanadam(op): 7:10pm On Dec 18, 2016
While these events range from a small nuisance to truly bizarre, the good news is that with a few exceptions, you don't need to worry if you or the person you share your bed with is exhibiting any of the behaviors below. People automatically assume that something is wrong if they experience these things, But most of the time it's normal, and it doesn't mean that anything is wrong with you.

1. ROAM THE HOUSE

This is common among a lot of people and it is in the form of sleep walking. They do it unconsciously, I happened to have done this also but it was only once though. Back then in school a couple of my friends would roam the hostels at night and slap students while they were sleeping and they would claim they were actually sleep walking and didn't know that they were actually slapping people. lol. Just imagine!. Eventually the joke got old of course. That's school life for you!.

2. TALK OR SCREAM

Hahaha! Oh my! This sure brings back funny memories. I remembered when I was in school and I had roommates. Two of my roommates usually talk in their sleep. Every night was like a competition to see who could say the weirdest stuff. There was one time one of them said in his sleep of course '' Leave her alone, she's a married woman'' Lol. Then there was one time the other one said ''Meet me at the gate where they cook indomie''. So funny. The most weirdest things are said by people in their sleep. I think screaming during sleep has to do with nightmares I guess.

3. SEND TEXT MESSAGES

This is outright strange but so are human beings. You are asleep, how in God's name can you type or see the screen to even know what you are texting. It has never happened to me, don't know if it might have happened to you. I'm sure mtn would be very happy if this actually happens to a lot of people.

4. DRIVE

Yes! You actually saw drive up there. This list just keeps on getting strange and strange. You are asleep and yet you know where you dropped your key, picked it up, walked out of the house and entered your car and started it. Note, you are doing all this while asleep. Hmmm, if not for google I won't believe this.

5. PREPARE AND EAT FOOD

As strange as this is, I don't mind, because it has to do with food and you know food is bae. So which kind of food will you even prepare, it definitely has to be indomie because if you try cooking something like beans, you just have to wake up. Never underestimate what hunger can cause people to do, so I really believe this one.

6. HAVE SEX

This actually has a name and it's called ''Sexsomnia'' or ''sleep sex''. It seems people who have this problem usually don't like talking about it. So, I'll keep my mouth shut, of course that doesn't mean I have this problem. Lol.

7. ACTING OUT THEIR DREAMS

Ok, this is where it gets more strange and dangerous. Think about it, acting out a dream. Meaning if you dreamed you were a murderer you would want to act out being a murderer. Though this is common in men above 50 years, it can happen to anyone.

One of the most idiotic, useless and hypocritical organization in the world is the so-called United Nations (UN).

PoliticsAmina Mohammed's New Milestone by huthmanadam(op):
It is now official. By his well thought out decision, UN new Secretary General, Antonio Guterres last week named Nigeria’s Minister of Environment, Amina Mohammed as the Deputy Secretary General of the world body. Amina’s choice couldn’t be better as she comes to the job with tremendous experience in international civil service and the public service of Nigeria.
As Head of Nigeria’s Millennium Development Goals( MDGs), the precursor to Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs), Amina drove the programme so well and attained very high points in some of the targets set in the various intervention areas. Her role in the successful negotiation of the 17 targets set by the UN in the SDGs to end extreme poverty stood her out as an astute diplomat well horned to take up higher responsibilities.

Since becoming Minister of Environment, Amina has taken her job most seriously, displaying passion and a great sense of patriotism in the discharge of her duties. It is the commitment which she brought to the job, coupled with her depth of understanding of the issues that enabled her to successfully launch the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Climate Change Agreements. Under her watch also, the Ministry of Environment successfully launched the Sovereign Green Bonds and flagged off the Ogoni Clean up Programme, a highly sensitive exercise which could not take off for years in spite of availability of the needed funds to that effect due to the complex security and socio- economic issues involved. The Development of the Great Green Wall caps Amina’s various remarkable achievements as Nigeria’s Minister of Environment which no doubt combined to put her in good consideration for the top UN assignment.

Beyond all these is her record at UN where she served as Special Advisor to the immediate past Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon. It would not be wrong to assume that either Ki Moon recommended Amina to Guterres or the new UN scribe may have spotted her while both of them worked with the out- gone Secretary General, since the former Portuguese Prime Minister was appointed by Ban Ki Moon as the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. Either way, it speaks volumes about her competencies and records while she served at the UN. As Nigerians celebrate Amina for the new global responsibility accorded her, it is important to mainstream Nigeria’s contributions to the UN since becoming a member in 1960.

It is well known that Nigeria has played significant roles in the pursuit of global peace, the primary objective for which the UN was founded 71 years ago. In the area of peace keeping for instance, Nigeria has since 1960 participated in 25 UN Peace Missions, contributing finances, weapons, military personnel, police and civilian experts to various peace missions around the world. At the moment Nigeria is participating in about 10 UN Missions in Africa and beyond.
Nigeria’s numerous contributions to global peace have endeared her to the UN and an appreciative international community has constantly acknowledged this with the recognition of Nigerians for top UN assignments. List of Nigerians who have held top positions in the UN include late Major General Joseph Garba, the suave diplomat who served as President of the 42nd Session of UN General Assembly 1989-’90. After Garba, Nigeria came close to winning the top post of Secretary General of the UN in 1992 when General Olusegun Obasanjo was presented as the candidate by the Babangida regime. He unfortunately lost to Egypt ‘s late Dr Boutrous Boutrous – Ghali. Since then however, Nigerians have never exited the UN stage.

In peace keeping operations, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari was appointed Joint AU-UN Special Representative and Head of the UN Mission in Darfur [UNAMID], having earlier served as Special Assistant to the UN Secretary General and later as Under Secretary General. Ambassador Olu Adeniji also served as Head of Peace Mission to Central African Republic (CAR), while Margaret Vogt served as Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General to Sierra Leone.
Six Nigerians have also held the post of UN Force Commander. They include Major General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi (ONUC Congo), Major General Chris Garuba (Angola), Lt. Gen. Isaac Obiakor (UNMIL Liberia), Major General Joseph Owonibi (Liberia), Gen, Martin Luther Agwai (UNAMID Darfur), and Maj. Gen. Moses Obi (UNMIS South Sudan). Generals Obiakor and Agwai also served as Chief Military Adviser and Deputy Military Adviser at UN Headquarters respectively.
Although these appointments clearly brought Nigeria to the limelight within the context of the UN system, Amina’s appointment stands out as she would be the Nigerian ever to hold the highest position, at the UN Head Quarters. As important as her appointment is to the country, there is an equally important issue at stake which is Nigeria’s long sought membership of the Permanent Security Council.
For over a decade, the reorganisation of the UN Security Council to include other regions in the exclusive club of countries wielding veto powers has been a hotly contested issue. The last Secretary General, Ki Moon did not however, place much emphasis on the controversial subject as did Kofi Annan, his predecessor. It however, remained a matter the UN cannot afford to continue to sweep under the carpet as agitation persists.

In all permutations, Nigeria, South Africa and Egpyt have constantly appeared as the frontline countries to take Africa’s slot in the event of the much canvassed restructuring of that critical organ of the UN. Other countries like Brazil, India, Germany and Japan have appeared as favorite candidates to take up representation of their various regions in the envisaged Permanent Security Council. Amina’s appointment, a very welcome development should be an additional reason why Nigeria should represent Africa in the restructured Permanent Security Council in view.

The new Deputy Secretary General General who is taking over from the Swedish Jan Eliasson has a date with history. She would have stamped her name in gold in the annals of history if she can work with her boss to reorganize the UN and make it more democratic by increasing the Permanent membership of the Security Council. And history would remember her the more if Nigeria fills Africa’s slot in the new arrangement. That would indeed be the crowning of Nigeria’s contributions to the UN.

PICK YOUR AREWA BREAKFAST

Breakfast is a very important meal to start your day going and as such Doctors recommend good and steady eating of breakfast. The North is blessed with different mouth watering delicacies which are the perfect start for a good day. Below are the various Northern dishes which are usually eaten as breakfast

1. KOKO DA KOSAI (PAP AND AKARA)

This is no doubt one of the most popular breakfast taken not just in the North but all over Nigeria. The pap is usually made from grains such as maize, millet, rice etc. This food is so delicious and yet very affordable which is why it is so popular among different classes of people. My favorite pap is definitely Kunun gyada (pap made from groundnut and rice).

The Kosai (Akara) itself is made from beans and it's also called beans cake.

2. DUMAMEN TUWO

This is also a very popular breakfast which is taken in the North. It is basically a left-over of tuwo which is warmed again in the morning. Some people even prefer dumamen tuwo to the freshly cooked tuwo, they claim that it is actually more delicious. I don't know if it is just me, but anytime I eat dumamen tuwo in the morning, I end up having a running stomach. Nevertheless, a lot of people really dig dumamen tuwo.

3. WAINA/MASA

Oh my!. I'am writing this and salivating at the same time. I so much love waina and it can never do any wrong, Lol. Waina is also made from grains such as maize, rice e.t.c. Though a lot of people prefer using rice in preparing it. It can be eaten with soup assorted with meat and sumptuous bones or with sugar or kuli-kuli (groudnut cake). Seriously, waina is bae!

4. FURA DA NONO

If u grew up in the North just like I did, you must have definitely come across Fura da nono. The Fulani people are synonymous with Fura da nono. I heard that in some certain states they take Fura for the whole day, really who will blame them considering how nutritious it is. Fura is usually milked from a cow and then it is processed before it is consumed. Some people have low tolerance for milk so it's not adviceable for such people to take fura as breakfast. Sometimes I wonder whether it is this Fura da nono that makes the Fulani people very beautiful. Hmmmmmmmm!

5. DAN WAKE

Dan wake is a food which is constantly sought after. Although to me, it's not really ideal for breakfast, plenty folks see it differently and as such it is consumed as a breakfast meal. Dan wake is usually made from semovita or flour and kuka which is responsible for it's trademark green colour.
All the same dan wake is a really delicious delicacy

6. WARA (SOYBEANS CAKE)

Wara is made from soybeans and it is usually fried Though it can still be eaten even if it it is not fried. It can be eaten with just pepper or with soup. It can also be added to other food. Wara is no doubt a very popular delicacy in the North and some people don't mind it being their breakfast. It can also be eaten with cabbage or onions. It is very nutritious.

7. BANBARA (THE NUPE PANCAKE)

Banbara is a delicacy common to the Nupe people. It is also made from soybeans and it can be taken with pap or it can be eaten just like that. It is usually fried and has the shape of a pancake or a scrambled egg. It is indeed a delicious delicacy.

8. SHAYI (TEA)

For folks who cannot eat any of the breakfast mentioned above, there is the option of taking a nice hot tea. Tea is taken worldwide, though the North also have their own version which is usually prepared by the Buzaye people. The tea by the Buzaye people is popular for its medicinal qualities.

Between PMB and Alh Atiku

Even though none of these very two important people have come out to declare their intention for running for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, there are speculations however, indicating the interest of these two to run for the Presidency come year 2019.
For PMB, the arguement world be that, 4 years is not enough to cleanse Nigeria of its immense "corruption" and hence will have to run for office again to continue his anti-corruption campaign.
If you have been a regular follower of happenings on social media, you might have come across some news regarding Alh Atiku. I read somewhere not to long ago a comment made by Atiku pertaining corruption in Nigeria. Then ofcourse there was that picture of him drinking pure water and also the one of him dabbing with Bovi. The general public are of the opinion that all these are publicity stunts pulled by Atiku just incase He decides to run for the Presidency.
Let's say it's year 2019 and both of these men contest for the same post. A situation which i think can be referred to as "between the devil and the deep blue sea"
So guys, who would you vote for?
