nena2014: I'll just advise those that are still waiting to hear from Access Bank to mail them to know their fate instead of putting themselves under pressure. I did that and got result almost immediately. 1 Like |

Below is the response I got from Access Bank when I sent a mail to them today for not hearing from them after the Top Management interview on 03/03: Dear Adeyemi Thank you for attending the interview scheduled at Access Bank Plc. It was a very useful discussion which definitely highlighted your capabilities and expertise. Based on the review by the interviewer(s) and Recruitment Committee, it was decided that your current attributes are not what the bank is looking for at the moment. We are therefore constrained to inform you that the bank will not be proceeding with the recruitment process. However, your resume will be added to the bank’s database of candidates to be re-invited at a future date when vacancies exist that meet your impressive experiences and skills. Thank you for your time and interest in our organisation. Kind Regards For: The Access Bank Recruitment Team |

Jobs/Vacancies / How Reputable In Nigeria Are Online Degrees From Foreign Institutions? by Hybekay004(m): 10:43pm On Dec 21, 2015 |
Please, I want to know if anyone has successfully completed an online bachelor's degree or master's degree in any foreign varsity. How much reputation is credited to the certificate so earned, in Nigeria? And are you (or do you know anyone) working anywhere in Nigeria with it? I'm posing these questions to clear my scepticism about it's reputation in Nigeria as I'm presently considering pursuing an M.Ed in one of the schools which UNICAF scholarship programme covers. I'm giving this a thought because I feel it'll afford me the opportunity to work and study synchronously. What's your opinion great Nairalanders? Please share your experience and contribution. |

Jobs/Vacancies / Mistake On His WAEC Certificate Poses A Challenge To Him In The Labour Market by Hybekay004(m): 7:47pm On Oct 17, 2015 |
Dear fellow Nairalanders, I want to use this platform to seek for your advice on this issue: when I collected my WAEC certificate two years ago, I discovered a mistake on the date of birth the certificate carries. According to what appears on the certificate, I am three years older than my actual age - the birth day and month don't even correspond. Then, I ignored it, hoping I'd do something about it later. I never realized the likely challenge it was going to pose until I got an invite to come and write a test for a job I applied for (I'm a graduate now). At the test center, one of the men in charge spotted the DOB on my WAEC certificate and called my attention to it, demanding an explanation as it was different from what appeared on my CV. I told him it was a mistake from WAEC and he immediately wrote on my CV with a red ink, advising me to take it back to WAEC office for correction and rectification. At that spot, I doubted my chance of getting shortlisted among the successful candidates. My question now is: which of the WAEC offices do I return it to? The state where I wrote the exam or any of WAEC offices in the country? Some persons suggested that I should swear an affidavit to back up my real age and ignore the mistake on the certificate. Is this appropriate or what do you suggest I can do? Your candid pieces of advice are warmly welcomed. Thanks anticipatorily for your contributions. |

Jobs/Vacancies / He Applied For A Job Without NYSC Discharge Certificate by Hybekay004(m): 9:49pm On Jun 17, 2015 |
As a serving NYSC member (Batch C), I forwarded my CV to Stanbic IBTC Bank to apply as a graduate trainee in the financial institution couple of weeks ago. I got an assessment invitation recently to show up for aptitude test (it is my first) slated for a particular date. One of the documents required to be brought to the test center is NYSC discharge certificate which I do not have until I'm discharged in October. Fellow compatriots and nairalanders, I need your candid advice on this. Should I go for the test without the certificate or I should just forget about it? Thanks anticipatorily for your contributions. |
Education / Students Seem To Always Perform Better In NECO SSCE Than WASSCE by Hybekay004(m): 7:40pm On Sep 11, 2014 |
I've always observed that students have better performances in NECO examinations than WAEC. Even if I do not have the previous years statistics of students' performances released by both examination bodies to prove this, I think the 2014 statistics is a case in point. Do you agree with me? And what factors do you think are responsible for the discrepancies? Please, let's rob minds together on this. 1 Like |
