usdane: Hello Wip7, Justwise, Penroll55 and everyone contributing to these Cyprus thread. You are doing a great job. May almighty God reward you abundantly. Please i wish to be clarified on 1 thing here. I applied for Undergraduate Admissions to CYPRUS INTERNATIONAL UNI. I was initially told that my result was'nt sufficent for d school (cos i had 4 credits in my waec including maths and english). So they asked me to forward another result to compliment the one i initially applied with. I did, but they still wrote me that i will still not be admitted because i failed maths in d 2nd waec result. However, after a couple of days, they sent me a CONDITIONAL OFFER. They asked me to pay 2000euros to their account stated as NEW ISLAND EDUCATION LIMITED. That they will then send me the UNCONDITIONAL OFFER FOR ME TO APPLY FOR VISA. Pls i want to know if this process looks normal cos im new to the system and i dnt want to say im insinuating foul play cos they already told me that my documents were'nt suffice and still went ahead to issue me such offer. Thanks, i will appreciaste any advice, suggestions and help.CIU will admit you with even no result for that non-refundable 2000EUR tuition, think wisely before falling into a trap with CIU, ask the people that came before you preferably Mr Famooooous aka fados4sure. You will think all is fine after you might have paid your fees and unconditional letter sent to you, then come here and do registration you will hit a brick wall. Be warned!!! |
There are just some chemicals that our kidneys and Livers naturally produce that gets out with poo that are so recalcitrant to water treatment that man hasn't found a solution to degrade, the Oyibos think because it is Infinitesimally small it has no effect and they may be wrong in 30years time or less. So avoid poo water as much as possible. |
Oga wip I checked and it seems one must have a valid Schengen visa or OECD member nation visa/permit for eligibility, ironically Turkey is part of this OECD nations, now does having the TRNC permit qualifies one for this?? |
Turkey opens E-VISA (Nigerians are eligible) Now It is now possible for applicants to apply for Turkish entry visa and obtain the visa within 24hrs without visiting the embassy now. You only need internet and have the required documents to be scanned and submitted. The advantage of the E-visa is the validity is now longer with maximum stay of 30days. The Disadvantage is that is only Single entry allowed for Nigerians. Visit e-visa site. Oga wip is this also applicable for Nigerians already in N.cyprus. |

fados4sure: You cannot work and study because there is no job here. All international students are frustrated here just go to Germany or Netherland.Hahaha, which day you come wey you wan run lol. Who told you all international students are frustrated?(even the yahoo boys dey hear am hot for Lefkosia now),lol. I advised someone one time don't know if it is you not to come to CIU,but the person said he can go to Wolverhampton and Sunderland from here because they wrote it in their website(scam). Well before you leave the Island I would advise you to apply for your permit if you dont have it yet,it might be the only benefit you get for paying CIU money. For future CIU student, learn from this guy,and if you must come to North Cyprus try EMU,I am a CIU student and I know what I am talking about. |
abbakacici: Pls do any one has information about University of Mediterranean Karpasia in north cyprusYes Akdeniz Karpaz Universitesi. what do you want to know about the school? it will be nice if you are specific. The little I know is that the school is at the city center here in Nicosia(lefkosa),the school have been on ground for a while, but started full activity last year and they have a vast Faculty in Air Transportation think the only school offering that here in TRNC. |
akemzo007: Ok good, at least you honest with me now, so let start by saying its so hard to get a study visa to the uk from kktc even if you paid tuition to the uk university, believe i knew so many ppl who tried this and failed, the embassy already knows from kktc intelligence that many nigerians come to use kktc as transport hub to other places, not saying that's your plan though, everyday you see a long queue at the embassy and i can tell you that out of 110 applicants only 5 or 7 get get, most likely from Ghana or Botswana but why? Over 7-10 years ago things were really good and you could easily get a year visa but Nigerians as you know have already destroyed it all with the use of fake documents and what not, ok enough with the doom and gloom, it is a bit easier to get the us visa (which is already getting hard as more Nigeria are caught with fake documents and so on), so far all i can say is that most who find it hard to survive to the Greek Cyprus and claim asylum, get a job and live well enough to survive. Cutting the story short, yo got a better chance getting a uk,us, Canada visa in Nigeria than kktc(north cyprus). CIU is good, nice student accommodation, a bit far away from the capital, do note, to defer a semester you must write a letter to the rector and you can do this only once, of which you must have already paid tuition for the semester you want to defer or else, no defer granted. This akemzo007 you sure say you don enter aeroplane before or na your brother dey tell you all these stories? How can CIU be a good place or far from the capital,Haspolat to lefkosa nor reach 5minutes ooo? How can people transfer from Emu to Near east check rankings and school fees? See North Cyprus ain't Sh--t but nor come dey talk wetin you nor know ooooo. See this guy coming to CIU I already can tell an agent had told you this Wolverhampton or Sunderland crap.Come make you come see for yourself. |
akemzo007: Why why why! I see people never learn, oh will your cousin regret this, anyway getting the visa is as easy as ABC and after that getting the 4-year residence permit takes just a week to get, well as long as your hiv/CBC test is good4-year residence permit, lol noting person nor go hear for Kıbrıs,nah you dey sign the Muhaceret then. |
Luvdmx: thanks manYou are welcome, make we chop kebab together when you enter, lol |
Hello nairaland. Please, how do one download CIU pick up form.thanks[/quote There is no form to download my dear from what I know just email your itinerary to CIU at least 3 working days before your arrival and they will send someone to pick you up,it is important you do this else the immigration might hold for some more hours just to confirm if you where supposed to be arriving on that day and/or a student in the first place. If CIU nor send you pick up taxi, you can enter the airport bus(Kibhas) is written on it,just tell them Haspolat/CIU nor go enter private taxi oooo except you come with many Euros. WELCOME TO kibris cumhuriyeti |
@Kachi50 that account is correct, the other account also works. Turkiye Is Bankasi A.S., Cyprus International University Branch, CIU Campus – Haspolat – Nicosia / TRNC Euro Account Number: 6802 – 0024 Account Number: 6802 – 3022 Are you coming to CIU for your Undergraduate or Msc? But the basic documents are your SSCE,TRANSCRIPT,DEGREE CERTIFICATE/STATEMENT OF RESULT if applicable, and I am sure you will be admitted,so far you wan come pay school fees, lol I will ask you some little questions,do you have a good sponsor? Why North Cyprus?? Have you checked some more schools in N.Cyprus like EMU or even Near East(NEU) @ Water4qb if na CIU matter you wan discuss drop am here ooo,me nor ready do PR work for them ooo anybody wey see your question fit answer. |
raikage: see please do they need application fee when applying and how do ℓ̊ pay it.can ℓ̊ start applying For spring nowApplication fee is 50euros to Turkey is Bankassi account of CIU,you have a lot of time till next February,I came too early to the Island that was my first mistake oooo learn from me. |
Captbonzo Yes I am in CIU and the fees for all Msc programme am sure is 2,200Euros per year, and the 350euros per course is applicable for the second year. |
Luvdmx: I wish you the best of luck. Are you goin for undergraduate or master..please,rmb me in your prayers cos i dnt wnt to miss dis fall semester..hope you done your neccessary documentation for visa interview..My broda if you have not paid school fees nor come here oo.CIU is overrated no wonder all the people wey talk about CIU nor dey come here again after a while(Izmuch, esko, sithanda etc),but WIP you for dey talk am in clear terms make people nor go dey make mistake, nah only gym dem get here oooo.No facility at all all oooo Maybe nah because i just come sha, boys are not smiling. Go EMU or forget N.Cyprus nah so everybody dey talk ooooo |
Oga Wip though I filled on the visa form that am leaving 15th sept. But the date of visa issue is 3rd august...when do I start counting my 1 month from.... |
Penroll if time is still on your side take it to the ministry,if not go to the interview like that.Authentication is just a couple of signatures at the back of your documents both photocopy and originals,so no alterations. A girl going to Emu in my front got her visa without havin any of her document authenticated, but am sure u might not have her faith as she told me boldly that she was goin to tell the consular when asked that she tinks its not important, me self fear that kind confidence. |
Wip thanks for d way u have handled this thread.I read this thread from beginning to the end, though each year same questions are repeated but gettin a N.Cyprus visa is a very straight forward process. Wip how is Emu goin to handle the population explosion they are going to be having come september, every student on the queue today was heading to Emu,though am heading to CIU. |
That Emma guy said he was your brother and told me he will call back, but noting oh.Wanted to get the white or red torch this weekend for someone,is it still firm at 34k Man. |
Someone please tell GEJ we don't want nokia N97.we want nokia E65 ![]() And are we now using coins,Naija na wah !!! |
Wake up folks. What is the difference between Islamic extremists and rank and file Muslims(the Sultan Inclusive). Just one thing only. The extremists do the dirty work. Otherwise they all want the same thing-a worldwide Islamic caliphate. They will settle for nothing else |
Us: Bomb Attacks Possible In Nigeria Capital This Week LAGOS, Nigeria (AP) — A radical Muslim sect reponsible for attacks that left more than 100 people dead in northeast Nigeria this week could bomb three luxury hotels frequented by foreigners in the oil-rich nation's capital, the U.S. Embassy warned Sunday. The unusually specific warning from U.S. diplomats identified possible targets of the sect known locally as Boko Haram as the Hilton, Nicon Luxury and Sheraton hotels. Those hotels draw diplomats, politicians and Nigeria's business elite daily in the country's central capital of Abuja. The embassy said the attack may come as Nigeria celebrates the Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha and that its diplomats and staff had been instructed to avoid those hotels. Deb MacLean, an embassy spokeswoman, declined to offer further details about the threat or the source of the information Sunday. The warning came as a Nigerian Red Cross official said Sunday that more than 100 died in a series of attacks in northeast Nigeria launched by the radical Muslim sect, as sect gunmen shot and killed another police officer. Ibrahim Bulama told The Associated Press he expected the number of dead to rise as local clinics and hospitals tabulate the casualty figures from the attacks Friday in Damaturu, the capital of rural Yobe state. While the hard-hit city remained calm and its Muslim inhabitants celebrated a religious holiday Sunday, army and police units manned roadblocks leading into the town and streets remained largely quiet, Bulama said. Meanwhile, the sect known locally as Boko Haram killed a police inspector Sunday in the city of Maiduguri, the sect's spiritual home about 80 miles (130 kilometers) east of Damaturu. Sect gunmen stopped the officer's car at gunpoint as he neared a mosque to pray with his family, local police commissioner Simeon Midenda said. Gunmen ordered the family away, then shot the inspector to death, Midenda said. The sect members later allowed his family to drive the car away, he said. The killing prompted a frank acknowledgment from the police commander, whose men remain under siege from constant assassinations by the radical sect. "Our men who live in the midst of the Boko Haram are not safe," Midenda said. Statements issued late Saturday show the U.N. Security Council called the attacks Friday in the cities of Damaturu and Maiduguri "criminal and unjustifiable" and asked members to help Nigerian authorities bring those responsible to justice. A statement on behalf of Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called for "an end to all violence in the area," while offering sympathy for the victims. Pope Benedict XVI on Sunday appealed for an end to all violence, saying it only increases problems, sowing hatred and division even among the faithful. He told tourists in St. Peter's Square that he is following with apprehension the news from Nigeria. Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the attacks Friday, which included suicide bombings and shootings. SOURCE:http://news.yahoo.com/us-bomb-attacks-possible-nigeria-capital-150100700.html |
