Blackfire is right. Mohammed, at 25, married Khadija at 40. My modern day standard, khadija was a sugar mummy to mohammed. You should also note that khadija was a rich woman who employed mohammed as a 'book-keeper' or salesman (though muslims claim mohammed was an illiterate, how can a rich business woman employ an illiterate?).

Though mohammed married the rich khadija, only God knows if the 'marriage' would have gone ahead if khadija was not rich. If a man marries a woman 15 years older, there is an interest in that marriage and mohammed's case can never be an exception. Mohammed remained a monogamist while khadija was alive and took multiples wives and concubines after her death, what does that tell you.
