Being a power broker in the South South is impossible. Southsoutherners cannot be controlled by a single individual from the comfort of his house. Once his tenure as governor ends, he'll not have access to the Rivers state machineries. He becomes like every other former governor in the state.

The new governor will most likely form an alliance with Amaechi and relegate Nwike to the background.

People are easy to control ,just have resources .

In Wikes case ,he has his G5 influence and relationship with the incoming administration . Also, though people change but it’s not in view that the incoming governor of Rivers will betray him (because Wike is his godfather and especially because he has more to gain by aligning with the FG through Wike ).

Wike has worked very hard for the incoming government.

IMO ,the best course of action for him is not to take any official position like Tinubu did when he declined going to the senate .
