I know absolutely nothing about cars and wanted to get my first car... I always loved 2013-15 Honda accord.... All my hope was on a friend who's been in car business for about 5 years now and knows his way around.

I went to where he is and we looked for a direct Belgium car, he did all the necessary test and assured me it was a good car... The person we were getting is from is also his business network of friends.

I made the whole payment without doing any test of my own because I know nothing.... We did drive test and everything and the car was okay.


On getting to my state I just decided to Google the Cars VIN number, I saw it online where it was in USA, turns out it seemed the car was used for Taxi in USA... While other than the headlight which was damaged in the VIN page it has no issue.


My concern now is the mileage... It has more than 200kmiles on it already... And via my small research such cars are bound to fail anytime.


I paid 13m for 2015 honda accord not to talk of transportation to my state which is 600-900km away from Lagos which te driver is saying he will take 700k to drive it to my state, not to talk of commission I paid my guy


My question now is was I scammed?

We never had those dynamics to begin with. You got your independence in the '60s, and you've been stuck ever since. Compare this with the black South African who got democracy in 94

You guys know nothing about South Africa apart that it has white people, you don't understand the dynamics, the history, the way of life, the competence of an average white person.. this is why i don't take kindly to sweeping statements

Nigerians are fascinated and obsessed with white people or whiteness in general, this is not an agenda but a fact.. Do you know the extent of that "development" or how it spread? Secondly, there are successful, progressive black countries like Botswana that are gradually getting there.. it has to do with leaders, not pigment.. Botswana is an all black-country, but is nothing like Nigeria, so don't look at African countries through a Nigerian prism..

At what point do you guys stop talking about white people? I mean. For me, it reveals a lot about your national psyche. A road gets constructed in South Africa, and more often than not, some whitewashed Nigerian will come in and start chirping in with comments like "it's because of white people". A report will say, South Africa has the most organized and professional football league on the continent, and some Nigerians will say the very same thing.. Notwithstanding that the league is run by black people, etc. At what point is a feat or an achievement a South African thing? The way you guys obsess about white people is not normal
