The Osun Governor, Rauf Aregbesola Tuesday received the 41st Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji in the State House, Osogbo. The monarch who was accompanied by the Ibadan High Chiefs said the visit was long desired, in order to appreciate Governor Aregbesola's expression of embrace during his coronation March this year.

While everyone was busy lamenting the singer’s loss of his brand name ‘Starboy’ to The Weeknd, Wizkid has been gearing up for new music to be released, and this time, it features Drake.
Who would have thought? Or found a place in their wildest imagination where Drake and Wizkid collaborate three times within the space of a year? Not me, not you, not anyone
Wiz and Drizzy first found middle ground to collaborate on ‘Ojuelegba’, a song off Wizkid’s sophomore studio album “Ayo (Joy)”. Drake had heard the song from UK Grime artiste Skepta, and jumped on it with a verse, which birthed an international remix. The pair worked again for what has been the biggest pop single of 2016, ‘One Dance’, a song which stayed 9 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Now it appears things are going to go full circle with a new collaboration coming in hot from Wizkid’s end of the divide.
Turns out while Wizkid and Drake worked on his 2016 “Views” album, the pair also recorded more music for each other’s projects, and Wizkid is gearing forward to end the year with one of those projects. If this finally sees the light of day, it makes Wizkid the first Nigerian artiste to have collaborated with the hottest US act thrice in one year (for all it is worth.)

But seriously, the possibilities are endless. Wizkid just recently signed up to Sony Music Entertainment on a very lucrative record deal, which is yet to be announced. If this single is to be released, it will have to be officially released through Sony Music, and distributed in the US via RCA Records, the dame company that handles the portfolio of Davido and Ayo Jay.
2016 for Wizkid has been one of international penetration, and although Drake has been at the centre of it, he has released collaborations with Tinie Tempah, Justin Skye, French Montana, Chris Brown, and Trey Songz. His sophomore studio album has been recorded, with reports revealing that a 2016 release is on the cards for the album.

But a new deal with Sony Music will have to delay that, to enable the record label vet the songs off the project, and properly plan, strategize and devise the best possible means and channels to market, promote and generate value from the album. Wizkid is Africa’s biggest artiste, and there is a huge opportunity for all parties involved.

Lamido Commissions Ozuoba-Rumosi Road, Port Harcourt, Huges APc Leaders To Emulate Wike

Former Jigawa State Governor, Dr Sule Lamido has advised the leadership of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) at all levels to learn the art and science of leadership and projects delivery from Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
This is as the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike declared this is not the time for leaders to make excuses as the people expect their leaders to deliver on their campaign promises.
Both leaders spoke during the commissioning of the reconstructed Ozuoba-Rumosi road in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area on Tuesday.
The road was commissioned by the immediate past governor of Jigawa State, Dr Sule Lamido.
Dr Sule Lamido said that the leadership of the APC is learning on the job after their electoral victory, pointing out that they have embarrassed Nigeria internationally through their failure to work for Nigerians.
He said: "Only PDP Governors are working. We in PDP, care and we are concerned. If we are giving a responsibility, we discharge it creditably. Governor Wike has done very well. I extend the gratitude of the entire PDP family to Governor Wike for his performance ".
He said APC cannot work for Nigerians because the party lacks the capacity for pro-people governance , they only grabbed power for the sake of it and not for service.
The former governor called on Nigerians to build understanding amongst themselves for the promotion of unity, peace and prosperity.
In his remarks, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike said: "Whether there is economic recession or not, I will always fulfill my campaign promises to the people of the state.
"They people have played their part by voting us. Therefore, we have a responsibility to work for our people. They don't deserve excuses."
Governor Wike explained that the Ozuoba-Rumosi road is a direct reward to the people of Akpor Kingdom for their support. He said that the community was forgotten by the previous administration, hence his resolve to reconstruct the road linking them with their kith and kin in neighbouring communities.
Earlier, the Works Commissioner, Mr Iheanyichukwu Harrison said the road was so deplorable that the people of the area were cut off from their neighbours.
The highpoint of the commissioning of the road project was the defection of hundreds of APC members to the PDP in appreciation of Governor Wike’s efforts.
