I want to know what age people think is ideal for a Lady to marry, and what the ideal age for a man to be married ? |
Yes o i am waiting, I want to hear, what they have to say. |
No that thread is along the track, but takes a different path. I want to know how a person can conclude that they are in love. What is it that makes one feel enough of an emotion to the point where they conclude that they have fallen in love? |
It's a common gist/banter that I've heard often enough, in regards to African sports persons. You only need to look through some of the treads to confirm. I often hear the term 'real age' and 'football age' for example. |
I have been wondering why our African counterparts have a tendency to lie about their age? can any person name instances of such sportspersons being exposed? |
I don't think anything has been said that there is not an element of truth to. The truth is a bitter pill to swallow. The reputation that has been pinned on Nigeria and Nigerians in diaspora, is as a result of our own doing. People may manipulate and exaggerate the facts, but its not completely manufactured. One just has to take a look at the types of characters that litter NL with their ignorance evident in posts and comments littering various threads to support such an argument. |
Love is a word that seems to qualify a wide range of actions and emotions. But what is Love? How can you know when you truly love someone ![]() |
@bawomolowo The way it looks now he could play all 40 matches! Be optimistic for your fellow compatriot ![]() @manuch How old do you think he is? Evidence? |
@12large1 So how many do you think? |
How many goals do you anticipate from him this season? |
you're welcome. I just believe in treating people the way I would want to be treated. And I could see the thread was heading in a different direction, so I gave my input. I hope it helps |
Hi, I want to commend you for your bravery on posting your pictures on NL! Too many of the posters talk/criticize too much but could not display theirs. Nigerians are naturally very envious and cynical, if you are to break into this industry I advise you to grow very thick skin. And treat negative comments like water off a ducks back. I am not too sure of the way the Nollywood industry works. But what I would advise is there are a few Nollywood directors that have facebook account such as: Kingsley Ogoro: http://www.facebook.com/kingsleyogoro?ref=ts Kunle Afolayan: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=745750658&ref=ts Obi Emelonye: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1244537293&ref=search I will also throw in DJ Abass, though he is not a producer/director he certainly knows the who's who in Nollywood and he would be able to further advise you in the right direction. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=503876811&ref=ts I also recommend that when you watch these Nollywood movies, study the rolling credits at the end, this should give you information on the producers/directors. This usually includes an email address or a telephone number. Pay particularly to the ones in movies you have enjoyed. And contact those producers and directors. It will take a lot of research, diligence and perseverance on your part. I wish you the best. ![]() P.S Pls post a follow up thread inform of your progress. |
@Queeneve I ALWAYS ASK (and research)! That's how I learn. ![]() The companies I was in negotiations with decided that they are not interested in the Nigerian market. Thanks for your input. ![]() ***Back to post**** @190 + @Amefi + @Reality101 Don't post nonsense on my thread if you have nothing proper to say. I asked because I wanted to understand from a Nigerian's perspective. There is no crime in that. No matter how my question appears to you, leave room for correct people to post replies. KMT. I can't understand why imbeciles on NL feel the need to be critical/dismissing genuine rhetoric. If the content does not agree with you leave the thread!!!! |
I have noticed a trend in Nigerian men which perplexes me. A lot of 9ja men marry women abroad, when they have wives in their native village why is this ? (Before anyone brings up the issues of papers, this is a habit I've noticed in sports guys whom I'm particularly, referring to. As in such cases visas are issued on the merit of national caps etc. Not the nationality of their partners.) In summary what is this fixation? Because what I've noticed is beauty, brains and accomplishment does not seem to be enough. Whereas the ones back home may be totally lacking the beauty and pedigree of the partner overseas. |
Like who? |
Dr. Dr. Dr. !!! How does a woman get around a man that does not believe in PDA (public display of affection) I can understand not want ting to kiss in the open, but where is the harm in holding hands ![]() Linking arms, hugging? How can a woman reform such an alpha male ![]() |
Hello people of NL, I believe when it comes to fashion Nigerian ![]() I have observed that there are select boutiques selling Gucci and other luxury brands (real/fake) in 9ja, How much better would it be to have an official Gucci store in Nigeria? I did some research, but this is where it gets confusing. I was informed that the Nigerian government don't allow foreign luxury brands to come into our country? Is this so If so why Our people travel all over the world to shop, and having such brands in our own country would encourage people to spend in our own territory, and encourage people from neighboring countries esp (ECOWAS) to spend into our economy. If it is possible to arrange where in Lagos/Abuja would be the best location for a Gucci Store? And why? |
thanks Hackney, and what about in Lagos? |
Hello everyone, I am doing a bit of market research. I want to know the most affluent areas in Nigeria particularly in Lagos and Abuja. But I am open to suggestions in other parts of NG also. To be clear what I am trying to find out is where is Nigeria department stores such as London's Harrods, would be well situated, amongst those that could afford the hefty prices tags of luxury designer goods. or places where jewels could be sold exclusively. Thanks |
@sbucareer, Where in London is £600 to openly advertise ?If you're talking about central london you're looking at a figure of £20, 000/pw look up clear channel and jcdecaux these companies own most of the prime located billboards in london and the UK |
Hello everybody! This is an interesting topic, and for me has raised a lot of questions, Just like with all advanced technologies, somebody or (organisation such as government) would have a monopoly over the 'new' found technology exemplified by the fact that now it is possible to fly from any location the globe to another, but not everyone can afford to, and subsequently some people will never have the experience of traveling by air, even though it is possible to. My point is that even if this does become a viable possibility, there is guaranteed to be a monopoly of some sort over the technology. I don't for a second believe that it would be an accessible phenomenon to all 6 billion plus inhabitants of this world. Imagine the chaos that would ensue if just anybody could travel to anywhere in a flash? Or travel to any period in time, No boarder control, boundaries or means to locate where the individual is, murderers and rapists could escape to anywhere in the world, in history or the future!!! Flying by air requires a passport, what documentation would be needed to travel in time, let us not kid ourselves, Such technology becoming available i believe would be evidence of the world as we know it spiraling into disaster. You see i reason that the world is filled with all sorts of people good and the bad, wicked and the kind; if they all travel through time as they please wouldn't the evil agendas of some change the world, ? Lets look at it, if one could travel back in time, then aside from physically manouvering through the ages, you're taking knowledge of the present with you, and this knowledge would change things in the past which would affect the future (our present). Then this present would be a forsaken mess, while everyone is busy changing this or that! I agree with another person who said the idea of traveling back in time is unfeasable not to use the word impossible. People in the past are dead, gone and decomposed, so how would one travel to such a place the past is gone, Future travel to me is most feasble, The Present is a gift, let us bare in mind that we all control our futures by the actions of our present, and the fact that we can't see or directly control our destinies makes the present valuable, as we age with each passing day! If one could live forever what fun would it be without your loved ones there to see it too, And if time travel is already in order, that would mean there would be people from the future living amongst us already, ummmm? |
