Which building at ishashi bustop. Is it that former augusta international college building besides prime mart?

Thats the only large facility I think can host such in that place.

They should post pictures let's know.

I'm guessing Augusta College too. The school has been in hibernation for some time now. And I saw new signage there (covered) last week. Maybe they are pivoting into higher education.
Travel / Re: Which Country Gives Visa To Nigeria Passport Holder Easily.. by iamclime(m): 5:08pm On Sep 04
Gather some travel history on your passport first. Try travelling to Benin Republic and Togo/Ghana for a start. It's better to apply for visas with travel history.

This is a monitor lizard, not an alligator! Monitor lizards are common in forested and swampy areas of Nigeria.
We don't have alligators in Nigeria.

LASU has a department of Portugese and English. I think they have some short courses too. You may want to explore that avenue also.

Business / Re: How Do I Stop This Bad Habit? by iamclime(m): 3:24pm On Jul 04
AbokiWam:
My Salary is a little above #100, 000 naira, My friends know I am working which brings enormous pressure on me, They think it is a high paying job because of the Corporate dressing and all.

I don't Know if it is the hardship from this era, but now 4 out of every phone calls someone receives is usually them asking you to lend them money. Currently self I am skeptical of answering phone calls. Work Colleagues also do not spare you in this regard.

My problem now is I am too soft hearted, Any small story and I am already heading to my bank app to do transfer for,

Beginning of June, money I lent to a total number of 7 different people was running into almost 60,000 naira.
At the start of July, Only two people have paid me back (5000 & 4000)

Because of that I promised myself not to lend anyone money again from my salary, but Just this morning I got a call from someone I know , he was crying to me of his salary being delayed at work.
He pleaded with me to lend him #10,000 which I obliged, Knowing fully well I wont get my money back (He has borrowed 8k from me before without paying back)

I think something is wrong with me, I can even go to loan app to borrow and gift a friend if I don't Have

Same borrowing habit almost ruined my Dad, it destroyed his friendship with a close pal, he borrowed his friend #800,000 back IN 2011 when money still had value, the friend refused paying and that crumbled his business for a while.

My Mom have warned me if I continue, I might experience same.

I really need to change...
If every one should pay me money they have owed me, I would be able to buy honda baby boy
This is a bad habit I need to stop.

A suggested solution: Install Piggyvest, Cowrywise, or any other savings app on your phone.
Set up Safelock (using Piggyvest as an example) and lock the part of your salary you can do without every month. Set a long period, perhaps 3 months or more. Do this every month once you get your salary.
Once you are asked for money, you can honestly say you don't have it.

Alternatively, if you are on pension at your place of work, set up additional voluntary contributions (AVC) to be taken from your net pay at source every month. Take ownership of your own finances.
I have been there before. Spent (wasted) most of my money on others while I was still earning salary many years ago. Nothing really to show for it!

I can't count the number of times I have seen Bukka Hut vacancies here. It tells a lot about the culture of the company. Why is there so much employee attrition? Why don't people stay?

If the school has a student portal for academic profiles (most do), you can access the portal and download the profile with the matric number and other login details if you have them.

Politics / Re: MKO Abiola's Children Who Couldn't Afford Drugs Have Died In Last 30 Years by iamclime(m): 10:30am On Jun 19
santaclaws:
MKO obviously didn't groom his sons for leadership... This is why succession planning is very vital. The concept of "first born" controlling everything has done a lot of harm to families as well, cos what if the first born isn't responsible?

Imagine how the entire family's wealth went down the drain after the father's demise. Na wa ooo.

Spot on! I wrote about this in my MSc thesis on succession planning in family owned businesses, citing the case of the Abiola family. Many family owned businesses (FOB) in Nigeria have failed and many will still do so due to our inordinate desire to have a progeny succeed us in business, whether they are trained, interested, experienced or competent in the business or not.
Polygamous practices, insistence on first borns taking over, not knowing when to exit (either through retirement, management succession, or outright sale of the business) continues to take many FOBs under!

It's better to avoid snakes than avoiding people Oga. This is one of the most wicked snakes on earth. Yoruba call it Agbadu. They are very aggressive and fast, very fast o. They can attack unprovoked, they can stand toe to toe with you if triggered.

This is actually small though but still, you cheat death o.

Àgbádú apọ́ngbọ̀n! Oh, those days in the rural parts of Abẹ́òkúta! A dangerously fast, black, long, and venomous snake! Op is fortunate.

The exchange is worse now. 1000 naira goes for 430 CFA as at last week when I was there. Changes in the dollar exchange rate affect it too.

I'm planning a group tour of Benin, Togo, and Ghana soon. Anyone interested should let me know.

Whenever you make any complaints to any disco, ensure you use email and always copy the NERC. They will respond better when they the NERC is involved. Speaking from experience.

Politics / Re: FG Orders NERC To Revoke Licenses Of Non-Performing DISCOS by iamclime(m): 6:13am On Mar 12
The issues in the power sector are hydra-headed. For one, I agree that the DISCOS are too large, and they mostly ineffective. There are also leakages and vandalism along the transmission routes. The TRACOS have little or no control over these events in most cases. At the generation stage, the GENCOS keep complaining of shortage of gas supply to maintain the current level of generation or increase capacity.
There is a need for total overhauling of the system. There is need to also educate energy consumers to pay the appropriate tariff for energy consumed. But this work if consumers see improvements in the power supply.

Thread kinda reminds me of a verse in Shina Peter's song:
"Mo de Muritala Airport, Nigerian Airways, nitori èrò pọ nibe, won ni won o ni gbe mi,
Concord Airlines omo Abiola: nitori ero po nibe won ni won o ni gbe mi,
ADC: nitori èrò po nibe won ni won o ni gbe mi,
Kabo Airlines: nitori èrò po nibe won ni won o ni gbe mi,
Okada nkọ o: nitori èrò po níbẹ wọn ni won o ni gbe mi,
Yee, mo bá padà sílé....."

Ọmọ, we don de old o!

I remember flying First Nation (ABV-LOS) in 2012. Plane was like a flying molue. Later learnt it was an attempt to resurrect Bellview by you know who?

I hope Ibom Air and Air Peace stand the rest of time!
