It's your choice to make, your father at this point have done his best for you. Going back to Ibadan doesn't mean the job will be awarded after the exam but it will give you an edge on how the society looks like. Its a bull by the horn and its a welcome decision to search for a greener pasture. You need to be a man of your own and to do that is to start earning a living. Masters can come at any time but job search is a whole lot of task.. I wish you all the best of luck in your forth coming exam.
The issue is that the graduate trainee exam does not guarantee employment 100%

Good evening everyone, I recently finished my NYSC in Ibadan and I came back home which is Ekiti state. The issue now is I applied for the first bank graduate trainee when I was still in Ibadan and applicants have been called for an exam which will take place on Saturday. My dad is saying I shouldn't go back to Ibadan with the excuse that I should go and start my masters in ekiti state university. I am so confused about what to do.

There are no right or wrong decisions until the actions are determined. What you have presented are two paths and you can only follow one at the moment regardless the outcome.

After your NYSC, you were not supposed to go back home to your parents. But you've made that mistake already (you will soon understand grin ). The next thing now is try to get a job or else life after NYSC will hit you hard
That was my decision initially, not to go back to home to my parents but they used all the means possible to force me back against my will.

Go and work, masters can be later... You need work experience
The issue is that the exam is not 100% guaranteed for employment. I don't want to take make a decision I will regret later

EducationCan I Get Fully Funded Phd With My Grades by Iamfedup(op): 9:53am On Jul 07, 2024
Happy Sunday everyone, I am a recent graduate of biochemistry. I graduated with 2.74 out of 5 cgpa. I want to start my masters in public health soon. My question is can I get a fully funded PhD program abroad if I have a distinction in my masters considering my undergraduate grade?
