Obi wants to play a "godfather" and that is so laughable.. The same Obi whose second term was so hard to achieve that he had to drag and ailing Ikemba out of his sick bed to beg Anambrarians to vote for Obi as the last gift to him. Obi is for big business and has a vaulting personal ambition of dominating businesses all over Anambra. In places like Onitsha , until recently he only constructs roads leading to the premises of some big businesses in which he may have shady interests while roads leading to the biggest commercial center in the city rots. He is not going to pull this one off. He just burried Apga because whosoever they are going to project will be dealt a massive blow at the polls. GEJ himself is a half baked politician. He cant even control Otueke and he wants to control a riotous Anambra? Lets see how it goes come November. GEJ was the one who made Rochas his main enemy in the east when he played this kind of politics during Ohakims re-elction campaign by insisting Okorocha should not be elected. He goes all gong ho when t is the former eastern Nigeria but will gladly swallow insults from Kwankwaso , Aliyu and co. The same fate he suffered at Imo awaits him at Anambra. Obi is so weak that if he is constitutionally allowed to go for a third term, he will struggle to win even with GEJs support and here he is anointing surrogate governors like he is some kind of political enffant terrible. It is Anambra..That wont fly

He used to ask; "are we the cause or are we cursed? Obi is now the curse. . This clowns 8 years in office have brought nothing inventive or spectacular to that state. In fact his last minute contract awards and construction works over the last few months might be more effective than whatever he did in the past 7 years. It makes you wonder what he has been doing with the states resources these past years. From day 1, he was banking with Fidelity bank! How can a state chief executive channel the state funds to his bank with a straight face and still rant endlessly about fighting corruption? Is there no clash of interest there? How can a man be so totally selfish in the way he runs a state? Now he is going to put his "nwa boy" there ala Obasanjo and Andy Ubah. This wont happen in Imo state. All the former governors of Imo tried stuff like this and were all forced to eat the humble pie. Anambra people should make his last days in office very painful.

Coming from a dye in the wool tribalist who is supporting a proven drug lord for the presidency just because of religious and ethnic reasons.., this is very rich.

Obi is by far the best thing that happened to Nigerias politics in recent times. That the whole nation is even going out to vote today is because of Obis presence in the electoral contest.

Otherwise, who would have been interested in the emberassing campaigns of one indicted drug lord and One indicted executive thief..

Shameless products of corrupted cultures

I dont know why you guys always want to bring Fashola into every discussion. The rainy season is washing away his roads and Lagos is getting submerged yet it is fashola,  fashola,  fashola at every turn. To speak of Anambra, Delta and Lagos as if these states operate from the same financial footing doesnt make sense. Lagos was the former capital of Nigeria for heavens sake. It is still the financial capital of the country with thousands of industries operating there and paying billions in taxes to the government on monthly basis.

Lagos boasts of endless structures biult by the fed government to stimulate businesses, name them;-bridges, power station, ports etc. This has led to massive concentration of people and capital in Lagos state. How then can you compare such a state that has almost limitless aveneus to make money with a state like Anambra whose infastructures are almost private sector driven? Or with Delta state whose billions come in at the end of every month from Abuja as an oil producing state?

Having said that, it must be stated that Peter Obi is a very clumsy politician.  He has failed to position his party as an alternative to PDPs misgovernance in the east. He was on the verge of liquidating the very party that brought him to power deu to promises made to him at Abuja before Okorocha came in. That shows lack of seriousness as a politician Today his partys big wigs in Anambra are the same theives that have held the state down for ages.

He biulds government lodges all over the place. Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi. There will be some in Abuja and maybe Lagos. This is a big waste of cash. Governors and other political office holders should stay in hotels when they travel and stop wasting peoples money biulding elaborate homes for themselves calling those government lodges.  You may want to call him a village governor too. He may have the best intentions but seem  unaware how to practicalize those and that is a tragedy,

I only saw a determination to biuld walkways/pavements in Kano State under kwankwaso during his first coming.
na the same Obi you tear like this?

This is not a coincidence. It is a well orchestrated devilish plan to paint a particular part of the country as criminals and it comes from the Lagos APC staple of evil propaganda and rabid tribalism.

They start with the totally corrupt Lagos ibadam express way mercenary press houses who traverse the universe looking for any igbo names that are involved in any sort of crimes. They highlight that all through the whole social media platforms while skillfully hiding any southwest indigene caught in similar acts..Then their Internet hirelings continue from there...

These are a set of lazy people who can't compete. They are now desperate to demonise igbos as criminals in order to make laughable excuses for their well noted inability to compete..
It sounds strange, right? But that is what is happening in tinubus Nigeria under the guidance of one tribal bigot called Bayo Onanuga..

In a significant drug bust, the Crime Branch Unit 3 of Virar arrested a Nigerian national in the early hours of Friday for possession of Mephedrone, a banned narcotic substance, valued at over ₹11 lakh.
According to police sources, Sub-Inspector Suhas Kamble and his team were on a routine night patrol in the Nalasopara East area when they spotted a man behaving suspiciously near Capital Mall around 1:00 am.
The man, later identified as Desmond Chidalu Animbo (36), a resident of Mahesh Apartment in Evershine City, Vasai East, was questioned by the patrol team but reportedly gave evasive and inconsistent answers about his presence at the location.

Following orders from senior officials, the police conducted a personal search of Animbo in the presence of two independent witnesses. During the search, officers recovered 46 grams of a light brown powder, later confirmed to be Mephedrone (MD), with an estimated street value of ₹11,50,000. The narcotics were seized on the spot, and Animbo was taken into custody.
A case has been registered at Achole Police Station invoking sections 8(c) and 21(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. The accused has been handed over to the police for further legal proceedings.

Police continue to investigate the source of the drugs and any possible links to a larger network.

Politics › Six Arrested For Using Sick People To Beg In Anambra by iamfraud(op): 2:14am On Apr 18, 2025
The Anambra State Police Command has arrested six suspects who allegedly hired sick persons to beg for alms from members of the public.

In a press statement released on Thursday, the state police spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed that the suspects were arrested in an uncompleted building at Isu Village in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area.

Ikenga added that the police also recovered six mobile phones and ₦82,400 in ₦50, ₦100 and ₦200 denominations.

According to him, four sick persons, who appeared to be suffering from brain tumours, breast cancer, and other terminal illnesses, were rescued from the scene and taken into custody.

The statement read, “A joint security team comprising police officers from Oba Divisional Police Headquarters and Anambra Vigilante operatives, on April 16, at 6:30 pm, raided an uncompleted building at Isu Village, Oba, and arrested six suspects who allegedly hired sick persons to beg for alms from members of the public.

“The suspects are Doris Basil (female), aged 28; Peter Ezedike (male), aged 38; Susan Monday (female), aged 27; Ogechi Okoro (female), aged 27; Solomon Sunday (male), aged 29; and Kenneth Achi (male), aged 29.

“The operatives also recovered six mobile phones and ₦82,400 in denominations of ₦50, ₦100, and ₦200, and took into safe custody four sick persons, who appeared to be suffering from brain tumours, breast cancer, and other terminal illnesses.

“The operatives provided first aid to the sick persons and sought higher medical intervention for their treatment and safe return to their various homes.”

He added that following the development, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, noted that Section 419 of the Nigerian Criminal Code Act deals with obtaining property by false pretence, also known as “419 fraud”.

“The CP noted that it is a felony carrying a potential penalty of three years’ imprisonment, and expressed concern about the level of moral decay in individuals who exploit sick persons for personal gain.

“He further directed the immediate interrogation of the relatives of the sick persons to ascertain their culpability.

“All the suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of the investigations,” he added.
