Not every body clicks ads, because not everybody looks at ads. if i'm visiting a website, am visiting it for a purpose, which is the content of the website, it's only by prolly after seeing what i'm looking then i could divert my attention to other things lurking around the website. Then if an ad catches my attention, i'll click, which is a 1 in every 10 chance probablity.

Well, I actually am using a host service that has online chat support 'in nigeria'. It was one of the reasons that made me join, because it gives the assurance that there's someone to answer when you have issues with their service or need to enquiry about something when your online..
So having an online chat support is a very good idea.

Yes

Clear your browser history and cache contents, and don't just click on any adverts you see, as well, it depends on the sites you visit. Plus you should get an antivirus if you have none.

For images...if an image is about 350px on your browsers' window..
Instead of you writing 'width:350px' in your css code,just use the percentage value like webrabbi said.

By blogger blog... You mean ..com domain yeah? If that is it, well, I haven't really worked with blogger to know how their spam security works and how easy it would be to implement the mathematical verification in their long confusing codes, but I do know one way is to 'prompt/force a visitor to log in either anonymously or with their google account, before they can make a comment. Even though am sure this might not work at times, but it would reduce the spams.

I wouldn't suggest blocking ip adresses, why? Because of 1. What if I goto japan and decide to visit ur site?
2. What if am using an isp in nigeria that somewhat uses some technology in japan, which gives a japan ip address...
3. If you do not want to use captcha, why not use the mathematical form, where they just have to add or subtract numbers! That isn't much.
4. You could go through your logs and find out what ip address has been visiting your site, and if possible what page of the site. Its from there you could find what 'specific ip address to block'
But u should also know, hackers,spammers don't usually use their real ip addresses....
5. As for akismet.....I only know its been used on cms .but hey google is your friend.

Plus try simplepay4u(dot)com and download the wordpress plugin.

What's your websites name?
Is it a content management system?
If it is! Download a spam protector, like hilary has suggested!
And if its d traditional php....find a way to add a captcha code or some form of verification before the comment can be posted.as well...google a way to hide ur email in your code...
