Believeintruth: Oga that information is very true and it lends credence to why imports of fuel from Malta spiked to $2b in one year alone. Oando that never released financial statements from 2016 all of a sudden is recording a bumper PAT. Please fear God and stop defending BS. This one you cannot dodge it. Even Oando boxed themselves in by mischievously misrepresenting the name by saying it is Raz Hansir instead of Ras Hanzir. Really Oando never released financial statements since 2016? Was this on AI? |

babasolution: LAGOS has always been the economic Center of Nigeria way before TINUBU I never disputed this I told you Lagos has been an economic life wire before the British came to Nigeria which you disputed yesterday. However, one cannot dispute some innovations that makes Lagos maintain its importance in West Africa even till date. |

babasolution: No state ever had as much funds as Lagos bar Abuja.
Allocations to SS states which only recently started getting improved is not the only source of funds for LAGOS By the time 1999 rolled around, Lagos was largely abandoned by the federal government. Lagos was a bigger slum that most of you consider it to be now. Tinubu started a journey that regenerated Lagos and gave it the opportunity to play to its strategic advantages. He came up with some positive innovations that makes lagos the only functioning State in Nigeria today. |

Kingosytex: Lagos being the former capital and borders Benin; a very good country where Nigeria imports cars from has an advantage. Which other state in Nigeria has that advantage? Is it Cross River that borders the barren Cameroon? 😂 Is it Adamawa and Borno that border the unproductive Niger Rep? Let's be factual for once. No state has the location advantage of Lagos. I'm not disputing Tinubu’s management skills though, a lot of people got funds but did nothing with it. There is not a single Nigerian state that borders other countries in Africa today that is not benefiting from trade. Sokoto and Kastina trades heavily with Niger Republic. Cross River, Adamawa trades heavily with Cameroon etc. I said innovations like LAMTA which birthed a cosmopolitan transportation system in Lagos, An effective internal generated revenue system amongst others. Meanwhile, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo Kwara and Niger state borders Benin not only Lagos |

Oando a public liability company simply said they have not done anything like that because their business is a public liability company that is required by law to disclose information to its shareholders and the public. Besides Oando would have required financial services to acquire such large business which will forced them to disclose their plans to the shareholders. |

Hope you remember Buhari body language/odour as propounded by APC at inception of his administration? OfoIgbo: Personally I don't want to focus anywhere else. I only want to focus on Igboland.
The lawmakers of all the zones with no federal capital (present or past) ought to work together to ensure such is situated for the remaining four regions. Estimate should be made of average federal money that was sunk into Lagos/Abuja over the past 115 years, and the same allocated to the remain four regions. This can't obviously happen overnight, but within a period of 50 years, so that Yorubas will be happy, knowing that Lagos will no longer be shared with other groups. Also the other groups will be happy, seeing that they have their own federal territories. Good luck with that. |

Kushites: Thank you.
One thing many of these guys forget is that Lagos is not the capital of Nigeria.
If you want to protest, go to the nation’s capital and protest.
Or you can even go to your village and protest from there. Exactly, if your region is not favourable, you can always go to another region. We have people from North living in South and vice versa because they prefer those regions. If that region you have relocated to is not favoring you anymore because people in that region are not on the same page with you, you can always move out of that region. |

Politics › Re: Why 'go And Protest In Your Region' Argument Makes No Sense. by Iamgrey5(m): 4:49pm On Jul 27, 2024 |
While go and protest in your region makes a lot of sense.
Despite our travels and inter marriage as Nigerians, every region in Nigeria is still about 70% indigenous, going up to 90% indigenous in some cases.
So it will be unfair for people from other regions to cause problems or civil disturbance for nearly 70% of people who are not particularly interested in the protest.
If a region is not favoring you, you can always relocate to other regions. We have six regions in Nigeria.
If it's protest about the federal government, I will support you go to Abuja and create enough problems for them there.. |
