Ilekeh: What a joke.
Phasing out what? Even when okada was a prominent commodity, roads weren't built aside for them.
Your roads do not even accommodate pedestrians or bicycles, talkless of okada.
Are people phasing out too? . You made necessary sense on this.. Nigeria is one of the highest users of motorcycle and tricycle in africa, if not the highest.. Till date the only development I have noticed in this sector is new uniforms for the glorified agberos collecting money, using marker to write some awkward signature and tearing ticket!! . Go to igbobi and see the people that have broken legs and dislocation from bike related injuries. Yet no incentives has been put in place to reduce the occurrence. Like the bike lane in benin rep that the other fellow considers as stale. Nowadays you see them drive on the small pavement that pedestrians are sharing with beggars, market vendors and what not.. Is there even a motorcycle driving school. ? An aboki just comes to lagos and picks up a bike and start comerical operation like a baby that knows the location of the breast .. Smh |

solochris: they have separate lane for Okada, we have separate lane for BRT, we r still ahead of them. shikina! they don't have a brt system. Yet a more organised transportation system. The people are mainly low income so bikes are the new car. Not like here that if u no pack ride dem no go respect you. also when it comes to urban planning a lot of things has to be in places pavements, disabled line, road signs etc of which that is lacking in so many areas in nigeria |

Olufemiolaolu: Nigeria is really backward in everything. So Benin has a seperate road 4 bike. oh u don't know?? Go and see their toll booth too and round about before entering coutonou . Bike is mainly for personal use and there are more women driving bike .. Very orderly.. When I saw their makoko version I trip for the beauty and cleanliness of the water there . |

The problem here is that majority of you guys here are bad losers. Of course if it was Nigeria that was ranked the best you will see it as well deserved without even caring to know what other countries are doing. . If nigeria does not have it, win it, get it, be the first to do it . Then nobody will. This is a narcissist attitude . And if its not stopped or channeled positively. You will have problems. like the country is already having. |

GHKWAME1: Remember he also said this about Nigeria.
President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, has taken a swipe on Nigeria, labeling the country and her citizens as corrupt. He made the remark during his 90th birthday luncheon hosted by the service chiefs and the public commission. Mugabe said Zimbabweans are now almost behaving like Nigerians who have to be corruptly paid for every service. “Are we now like Nigeria where you have to reach your pocket to get anything done,” he said. “You see we used to go to Nigeria and every time we went there we had to carry extra cash in our pockets to corruptly pay for everything. You get into a plane in Nigeria and you sit there and the crew keeps dilly dulling without taking off as they wait for you to pay them to fly the plane,” said the president followed by a huge laugh from the delegates attending his birthday bash. The current corruption rankings in the world rank Zimbabwe’s corruption a lot worse than Nigeria. Nigeria is ranked 163 worst corrupt country in the world while Zimbabwe is an embarrassing 170 third from the bottom. The report was carried by Bulawayo24 News, based in Zimbabwe. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/03/nigerians-corrupt-president-mugabe-zimbabwe/ smh! Don't mind that hypocrite . The man is a dumb ass. When people are talking it mugabe that wants to make sense.. Tweeeaa!!! His mates are in the grave! Its a shame that his country people have not assassinated him yet or opted for a revolution. Even if u kill him today he has lived up full years. It should have been done years back.. He is a bloody dumb racist. |

JiggamanGh: Tell me about it. We might bicker with Nigerians online but that's where it stops. Ghanaians love Nigerians and we have no reason to hate Nigerians let alone kill them. For what reason should we take another persons life because of his nationality. oh! You see! I expected that as the mods got the first part of the story on front page they will follow it up since there is a new development to the case. And to clear any doubts of ghanains having a role to play in the crime. And even if they did they will definitely be punished. But they are silent about it cos they have been let down once again to point fingers at ghana, the truth is that we have more respect and dignity for people. And have more matured ways of settling issues. Nigerians owe ghana an apology, not just one but in many instances, I have been able to see through the nigerian media propaganda that has been trying to paint ghana black. And give false meaning, from the news that nigerians school in storey buildings to the prison case to the real estate article to the student killings. The list is almost endless! This rubbish has to stop!, if ghana is that bad and hostile to nigerians there will rather be a reduction in nigerians coming over, the tag “akwabaa” says a lot. But we can't be taken for a ride! |
