Davijunson: How Boko haram has increased from jes a small group to a Terrorist sect terrorizing nations still baffles me. D western education lacking among the northerners has really become a defining factor in how dey've been able to brainwash young men into joining dem... Thumbs up to the soldiers. They shouldn't hesitate to waste those mofos... They've become too much of a burden to bear.

atlwireles: We can do it, just not under a government lead framework. Allow the African private sector lead, they have proven themselves in Nigeria already with their marginal wells. Lots of small companies doing way better than NNPC in the oil sector.
But can you tell me one that is big enough to handle these kind of project . Like how shell does?
Business › Re: $10bn Chevron Escravos GTL Produces First Liquids by iamord(m): 4:57pm On Aug 27, 2014
atlwireles: Nigerians and the people that ran NNPC for years refused to learn. The day we come to the understanding, and close NNPC down, then allow private companies both local and international, manage our oil sector. We will come to realise, what a waste NNPC has been for 40 years.
I believe in the african dream.. But sadly you are right! We keep proving that we can't do it..even when we say we can.. I mean what's the use of nnpc anyway. A ministry should just be created to ensure the oil and gas sector policies and followed and monitor the likes of shell etc, cos NNPC is just a puppet for making money.. but at that the truth is that we don't really own our Economy... Chai!!! U know what this picture creates in my mind??

Our leaders and we as a people have shot ourselves in the foot!!!

HNosegbe: So the diesel is not intended for the domestic market? Interesting.

Your detailed explanation still highlights the infrastructure and human capital deficit problems that Nigeria faces, which reinforces my point about the high cost of doing business in Nigeria.
I sum up everything into one

CORRUPTION

atlwireles: NNPC brings zero to the table, their only claim to some shares here, is title/ownership of the mineral rights.
U have Said it all! And This is what annoys me with african countries. Nigeria first commercial oil discovery was around 1957 , to date makes up to about 57 years, 100s of billion of dollars has been made in the process, what has stopped the government that claims to be against neo colonasim from setting up like. 20 year plan that will ensure the right Structures r in place, making research a university for this sector revamping NNPC to make it world standard so that from then on they can also undertake in oil exploration in other african countries single handly. Same goes To. Ghana, am so ashamed of what we have turned into today.. The 15 percent is big money. But its change compared to the amount Shell and co will take out.. Then people will still fap unto that 15 percent again!!! Its a shame.. We wtill seeing the same old things

735i: The same mistakes we made in the '60's we are making again now.
Why on earth should Chevron Nig Limited have 70% stake and NNPC just 15%?
Who is signing off these contracts?
I agree with u, but the question is how much money, technical know how, expertise is nnpc bringing to the table ? Before you can debate. On a. Higher percentage.

londoner: @iamlord, the extras are very good, but do you really believe that someone faced with buying a benz or a bently will go for Kantanka?

It is now about marketing, price and the mentality of your target consumer.

For many, its out of the running once its "African made"....Sad but true.

Innoson is successful not because he is relying average Nigerians to buy or patronise, one car at a time, but government and transport companies, not only for state transport, but also environmental sanitation, believe. Hopefully Kantanka will win this uphill battle of African mentality, but will have less to do with the product, as much as marketing. He should probably market it outside Africa, as Africans will follow what others outside do, without question. Failing that the government should patronise him or provide incentives for buying GH vehicles.
I agree with u a bit on this one.. One truth is that it will be hard to grow if there is No government support, of which I know he will definitely get some. Of which I know the owner of. Inoscon is highly connected. Here.. I have written to them and made suggestions about somethings.. They got the innovation but they need to work more on the brand.. Its High time he switches from an innovator To an entrepreneur.. The. Rlg brand has. Been successful in doing that..The Company is still young compared to innoscon.. And they. Already getting attention. So people should chill. They will keep. Improving, and I tell u in time you will see some of their cars to in nigeria! . But one truth I know is that ghanaians will patronise their own more compared to nigerians

I totally agree with you. our traditional systems have a lot to profit us as a people, economically and spiritually.

We should develop our old knowledge which is the heritage of our ancestors and make good for ourselves but just a few people can't do this.

This country Nigeria is too large and diverse for that
But the real problem is that 70% of our entire population is either Muslim or Christian with High ignorance and hatred for matters concerning our tribal heritage

I blame christianity and Islam...these two religions need to be dealt with if Africa is to grow on it's own
And we can only grow if we choose to set our priorities straight...foreign religion has absolutely nothing to offer us
I Understand You , but pls don't blame Christianity and islam, at least to an Extent .. I have been a Christian although am on the ifa line, but i can go to Church anytime I feel like.. We Have been doing the Blame game For too long and it has to stop! Its not only In nigeria. But the whole africa, that's to let u know that the first problem is within,. and I think a factor that has to play IQ And evolution, it is said that study to show thy self approved but So far custodians of the traditional religion have done little to lead the children of the nation, so when the children See something better they Move with it. I joined ATR. Cos i am on a voyage of Discovery and i Want to make a change, in order for us to reflect this change and for The ATR powers to come out alive and blossom for the children to trace their path. It has to start from within. First there must be orderliness, followed by policies and reforms.. We must have a. Masterplan ,one that will conform with this present generation ,promote. National and cultural identity ,liberate the people from mental slavery, by giving Confidence through Advancing indigenous practices and promoting on oneness and rewriting. History. . .. And I know the gods will stamp This. A lot I will Like to say on the matter Tho. Am looking for like minds to project this Change

The two humanoid robots – multipurpose
prototypic models – one of which is
highly programmed for residential
security issues; the second, for routine
irrigation practices have been the third
generation of robotic manufacturing by
the Great KOSA Company.
The ‘Security Robot’ uses eye-sensing
mechanism to determine the presence
of visitors: at a raised arm stretch a bar
code reading device [in the palm of the
robot] complements a Bar Code
Identification Card – which the visitor is
requested to show – also designed by
Apostle Safo. Pairing and identification
follows presto. The door opens and
robotically closes [all happening within a
fraction of a micro second by an
integrated-intricate-circuiting] upon
entry.
Mr. Sakyi, one of the workers at the
Department of Robotics at Apostle Safo
Suaye Technology Research Centre
(ASSTRC), said the Robot is basically
made up of three components; the
sensor, the programmed board and the
circuit board. Therefore, when the eye
(the sensor) picks the signal, it transfers
it to the brain (the programming board)
for the heart (the circuit) to act on the
received impulse.
The second robot, “Farmers’ Saviour”,
has an inbuilt bicycle joined to an
irrigation can. This amazing Robot has
VHF radio for communication. The Robot
is started by dialing the starting
programming code on the radio mobile
transmitter. The robot can then be
controlled using the radio device; the
rate of flow of water; the velocity of its
movement and its directions on the
farm.
The propagation of the VHF band (30
MHz to 300 MHz) when using the VHF
mobile radio device is chiefly in the form
of a direct path. It is relatively
unaffected by reflection, refraction and
diffraction within the atmosphere; but is
attenuated by the Earth’s surface and
blocked, diffracted or reflected by
terrain or structures — as experienced
with VHF-band TV reception. The radio
device has more than 100 meters
propagating range.
There is the possibility of future
generation of products from the
company to go digital according to TiGH
investigations. There is hope for Africa

Kantanka Irrigation robot: It is also
referred to as the “Farmers’ Saviour.” It
rides a bicycle joined to an irrigation can.
This programmable Robot has an in- built
radio for communication. The Robot can be
started and controlled 100 metres away
using the Kantanka remote control. The
rate of flow of water, its direction and
velocity on the farm can all be governed
using the Kantanka remote control. The
purpose of this robot is to help in irrigation
to increase food production. It can also be
used to water dusty roads or for any
activity that requires the spraying of
water
