MAYOWAAK: I have always felt that people who clutch their Bible, Koran and other religious books in their armpits need to also pause, every now and then, to read scientific journals. If they do not read, at least pause and watch science programs like “Wonders of the Universe.” The world of modern science gives context to everything. The conclusion science will help keen observers arrive at is that these religious books understate God or that God underrepresented himself in them.

It is baffling that Africans who do not know how the fax machine works or how the television signals get into their televisions, are confident about the number of rooms in heaven and the best gate to get in.

These Africans believe that an old woman who lives down the road from them, who is probably suffering from amnesia or Alzheimer disease, is the one who tied the womb of their daughter. But their curiosity does not allow them to find out the science that this old woman uses to remotely get into the womb of their daughter and tie it. Maybe it is similar to the science of the fax machine.

The earth that we live in is 4.6 billion years old. The last dinosaur died out some 65 million years ago. Two hundred thousand years ago, there was no modern human on this earth. No white, no black. No Igbo, no Hausa, no Yoruba.This is just the first chapter of human life on earth. Not even a nuclear war, which is coming down the road, will destroy the world. Not even an asteroid, which will hit the world again, at the earliest 2040, will destroy it. The world will end when our 4.5 billion-year-old sun burns out. The earliest that will happen is 4-5 billion years from now when the sun will enter the red giant phase.

It doesn’t matter how many pilgrimages we Africans go to, the world is not headed to Jerusalem or Mecca. The world is headed to the bosom that modern science has prepared for it.

Ocean water plays vast majority of important roles to human existence. 1st is the inhabitation of important sediments like Hydrocarbon (crude oil), sand, rocks like Calcium Choride (CaCl2), and salt like Sodium Chloride (Nacl), fishes, some chemical importance like some drugs for human treatment are tapped from the water in the ocean and so many others. Took the Almighty God just 6 days to create all these. It has taken scientists millions of years just to get past Genesis Chap 1 vs 9 and that's just a verse from the creation story. I'm sure it'll take them another long long time to get past another verse from the creation revelation. Shows you how powerful God really is.

RedBenson: Scientifically before this discovery, water occupies 71% of the earth surface and land is only 29%, now with this vast volume of water being discovered again, what changes in percentage has been effected on the volume of land and water? I'm sure water is now 97% and land 3%. This shows that the entired world is very simple to destroy if hydrous method is to be used like in the days of Noah. To me, whether scientists like it or not, God created all these things according to His will. One of thier postulated methods on how the earth was formed even mentioned something in affiliation to the wonderful work of The Lord.

In fact, the very essence of the scientific method is the admission that science does not know and needs to find out - research, hypothesise, experiment, confirmation, and repeat vigorously. It ia religion that tells you something and instructs you not to argue and to believe without evidence.

Secondly, if your reason for believing that seemingly complex things must have a creator, does that not lead to the bottomless hole of questions - who created the creator? Who created the creator of the creator? Who created the creator of the creator? And so on. At what point do you stop?
