PoliticsRe: Is Steady Electricity Possible In Nigeria? by iamord(m): 11:46am On Jul 02, 2016
ghboy:
actually it is possible but will it be done? my Ghana for instance had stable power. but reliance on the unpredictable hydro toppled with the connection of more towns to the national grid started our power woes. drastic and expensive thermal measures needed to be taken. luckily we discovered oil n gas with the later used to fuel some of the thermal plants. still not enough the government went extra by adopting short term measures buy purchasing 2 emergency power barges from turkey and some power generators from the middle east. one barge has been received and connected to the grid. currently Ghana has a generation capacity more than demand. however, the lights go off once in a while in the big cities due to inadequate gas or the shut down of plants for maintenance. more options like coal n wind are being considered. a little of solar and sea wave tech are being undertaken. the country wishes to be a net exporter of power by 2020! However all these came at a cost. subsidies on utility tariffs have been removed and an increase in power tariffs in January went up about 58%! the average Ghanaian cannot bear the hustle. at certain places water n electricity bills are higher than rent.
It possible in Nigeria especially when you have so much gas to power thermal plants
in ghana's it was just corruption and not being proactive. Nkrumah saw all this and had the game plan down. Only a few African leaders have achieved such feat. But we coming out of the recession and will get there. Currently there is a project called project ten. That would be a game changer and help Ghana become a new exporter of energy.
PoliticsRe: Is Steady Electricity Possible In Nigeria? by iamord(m): 11:40am On Jul 02, 2016
Africans are just lazy to a fault and have no grand vision. That's why all this matters arise... The money being stolen here runs in to billions. With an annual budget of $1.2billion we can add up to 1000mw through the use of gas which is being flared. yearly and the $200m will be used in improving transmission across States and aiding in proper revenue collection. In the space of 10 years you have over 10000mw.. This is for only thermal energy. Not even to talk of renewable energy like solar and bio mass.. To achieve this there is need more massive pm involvement and no government interference. But the investment will only come to a stable clime with good business policies to favour business. Alot needs to be in check. Do the maths and see that we are selfish and not using out brains

Keeping in touch with an Ex will only resurrect lost feelings..... although it depends on d grounds u both had to break up.
Dating dsnt hurt, Love dsnt hurt.... its cheating, lying, obsession and people who hurt us. Dont wait on false love. Get urself together. It hurts but with time it'll pass and u'd be surprised.
Time heals everything.
U deserve better than a man who wants to toy with your feelings.
#AllTheBest
This is a one sided talk. Even when you know that she has admitted her mistakes.

I love this thread. My boyfriend broke up with me in May, coz I nagged him embarassed. He said we can just be friends, and be positive, hopefully something will come out of it in future. I'm recovering but he is not letting me do so. I don't call or chat, but he does. Once I stay like a week without writing, he will write and that will remind me of our relationship. It hurts. Sometimes I feel like blocking him on whatsapp and facebook. When I deleted his number and set my whatsapp such that as a non contact you can't see anything about me, he was surprised and asked if I blocked him. The truth is that I have realised my mistakes and working on myself, but I want him back. I don't know how that will happen, but looking up on God. Unlike my exes, once they break up with me, I delete them and walk away and they always come back when it's late (when i'm completely over them). But this one wants us to be in touch. He is giving me hope and i'm confused. They say true love waits and there is part of me willing to wait. I have seen other guys but I don't want to date anymore. Dating hurts. Can someone advise me without insulting me.

NEXT TO BE COMMISSION
am so happy for legon. This is a big feat and the biggest teaching hospital in West Africa.. Am not pleased with the current incumbent and will vote him out . But I must say they have tackled the health and a bit of the transport sector well. The health master plan of Ghana is being formed. There is also eco medical village coming up at achimota. That's the game changer which will make Ghana a destination to presidents and high net worth individuals for medical tourism...... AS for the ict sector I long to see the hope city

In my humble opinion ,such massive infrastructural development should have been cited in the northern part of the country to spread development evenly in the country .accra for me has enough government and private health institutions to cater for its ever growing population.
Good points. Am also on the same notion that developments should spread of which there are plans for other regions. In the case of tamale. A hospital is being re construction yes there and the tamale international airport is already under construction. Opening the way for massive d be developments in the region

Great job Mahama but you should have done this years ago. You've been in power for more than 6 years and you've done nothing. You choose to build this during your last year in power. I'm sorry Mr. President your time is up like the North, Ghana remember
I want him out too but honestly. It would not be a walk in the park for any party trying to contest him cos he is doing some key projects at the last minutes and the opposition are fighting themselves

Since I have joined nairaland, I always see disgusting comments from nigerians about ghana or ghanaians. I didn't know that you people hate ghanaians so much. Then people will still come and say that ghanaians hate nigerians. So sickening
well I blame it on poor education. In the real sense of life, a lot of the people throwing this jabs are low life's and docile to an Ill mannered system. Which does not even give credit to their own. If you engage majority in a healthy discussion you will find out there is little upstairs. But I tend to over look cos we know who we are. Insults and all manner of negativity don't define us. wink

RomanceRe: Additional Things Ladies Can Do To Cement Your Relationship by iamord(m): 5:38pm On Jun 26, 2016
Mzflexydeeva:
Keeping a relationship or even a marriage isn't an easy job. A lot of people think it's all about sex but also remember the friendship is the major factor people remain together after emotions have brought them together. Gone are those days when a man will chase you, pet you so you don't leave and still find ways to keep you interested daily. You must understand that as a man needs a woman so does she need him too. Apart from the regular respect him, feed him and satisfy him in bed, here are a few things that cols also help you keep your relationship with the opposite sex glowing like the 1st day.

1. Watch football....
It is no longer news that guys love football though not all of them but a large majority do. There is only a fraction of females who can understand what guys love about football but trust me one way to cement your relationship more whether while dating or in marriage is to take interest in some of the things your partner love. If you can enjoy football just for him, be able to talk about it with him, you would find out you give your relationship a better chance of striving. As the fact you have gone out of your way to pick interest in his like would help him see you in a different light.

2. Take him on dates...
The general mentality is, it's the guy who has to initiate everything. Gone are those days.... It is equally important for a woman to do things to spice up her relationship instead of always pushing it to the man. Taking your boo on a date is a fantastic thing to do. Sharing a meal, seeing a movie together, visiting beautiful sites and cracking jokes is also a great way to cement a relationship.

3. Be his own stylist....
A lot of ladies complain about his looks, his style or the way he combines colour. But instead why not help him dress up in the morning. Rather than sit condemning how he is so out of date with the fashion trend you could help with his wardrobe. So when he steps out looking all fly, for every compliment he gets, he can always smile and silently say babe, thank you and I love her grin

4. Play games...
After watching football I think ps /video game is a guy's best friend. When you can match him on a game my dear it'll never be boring. Just know how not to make it too much of a competition but a game. Don't take all the fun in it by always playing to win and proving you are better. Even if you are better than him at it, you can always allow him win you to boost his ego.
you seem to know quite a lot about the dating sphere. You would make an ideal date, smiley

Well as the saying goes.. Haters gonna hate.. This is just a case of kettle calling pot black, and finding it hard to mind your own business.. You did not define anything constructively other than displaying your stupidity.. Let's do a reality check... You got the likes of maheeda that calls herself a gospel singer grin showcasing nudes back to back on social media.. You no talk.. You got the likes of kossi and Co displaying such nudity. I even saw a Nollywood poster with slaked up boobs girls all lined up init and your righteous censor board did not see anything wrong. . But you just deem it appropriate to point fingers at who's dirty when you the real shit!!! Hypocrites.. That's what you are.. You talk about sodom. What do you know about sodomhuh .. That 20 righteous students (bittches) went to a party and only 3 escaped by the whisker leaving 17 gone into limbo. After the news. What else.. it's business as usual.. . Then you open your filthy mouth to talk about sodom. It's evident that you don't have sense
