MICCH: Good morning all an extension letter was ship to me yesterday, how do I present the extension letter during my interview since my 1-20 is expired. You don't need anything extraordinary. Just present your i20. If the VO raises questions concerning the date, mention that you received an extension letter from school. Simple. If the VO needs proof, you have it!. |

Jolek15: Pls does one need to pay SEVIS fee and MRV fee before one can book an appointment or you can book appointment after paying Visa Application fee? You have to pay MRV fee(visa application fee) before booking an appointment. Ensure SEVIS fee is paid at least 72hrs before interview date just like @favouredtk advised earlier. |

Vision2: Not married.
Same sponsor (mum) all through. Again, while we await the gurus, I personally didn't see anything wrong in your responses at the interview, other than it would have helped if you were married and your spouse is here in Nigeria. Having 'strong ties' to your home country boosts your chances of obtaining a nonimmigrant Visa(I'm not saying it is impossible to get the Visa while unmarried). Let's be positive. Try again. You will rejoice at last. |

EmeritusR: the bank statement has a lot of money on it. I believe the VO considered the COA would strain your sponsor's finances considering the salary scale in Micro-finance banks... |

kinkymax: Hello house,,i need an advice.. I had an admission for spring 2021 jan 19 as resumption but the admission came late arnd DEC 19..so I'm still at d stage of i20 so I wanted to defer to summer so i can have ample time for d visa processing but d school sent me an email yesterday that I can only defer to fall 2021. This I'm not comfortable with cos I feel is too far. Summer would hv bn perfect for me. I have another school that is resuming summer but I have not gotten admission yet from there. Now the question is 1) shld I defer til fall at the Ist school at the same time continue d application for the 2nd school that resumes summer ( note,, i hv accepted d offer of admission at d Ist schl). 2) can I still go ahead wt d spring Admission ...will I still be able to meet up wt Jan 19 resumption considering d time for visa processing. Pls I await your advice.. If you already have spring I-20, continue with it. You should meet up. Fill your DS160, pay SEVIS, MRV fees and book an appointment right away!. |

Are you married?. Also, was your mum your sponsor in the previous applications? |
