I'm a data analyst. Got a little weekly pay job from an academy in Europe. Surprisingly after 3months of work and weekly payment, My name was flagged by western union on suspicion of fraud (with my pay for February second week cancelled after many hours seating infront of the computer).

It's very appalling and morale draining to be profiled in one's own country. I really wish I could push for a law suit and make them understand not all Nigerians are criminals and seeing us/considering us as one will have consequences.

Has anyone had such terrible experience, how did you handle?

Western Union! Watin do Wise and Deel? Please reach out to them ASAP

chinasaekpere listen to this advice. Don't waste your skills in Nigeria. You will enjoy your skills more outside the country. I repeat work for sometime and find way to get out of this country and explore the world with your skills. I repeat move. Just work for 2-3 years with your current job to gather more experience and japa.

Don't waste this skill in Nigeria. Find your way out after 2-3 years with your current job.

God bless you. Nigeria of today is different from that of 10 years ago, I'll rather spend the next 10 years of my life in a first world country than staying here for the next 10 years with such skills. To even think $10/per hour is even a flex is how much you need to leave this country if you can.

Don't stop learning, after 6 months start applying to other places especially overseas (remote roles like $10/hour above)and build your network. Save up and Japa. I repeat JAPA!

OgaTheTop2:
You have a network locked phone...

No. It's a Verizon unlocked phone. Try downloading "5g Switch - Force 5G Only" from the Play store.
Once opened click your android type and select the network type. It may do the trick.

graced21:
oh ok
But do you know how much they sell slightly used

Now I'm confused...I had planned to buy the 7, but started contemplating the 8 because of all the stories around heating up being fixed with the 8, better battery and better screen compared to the 8...but with this your experience??
I'd just buy the 7 now I guess and hope that 9 will be better

These phones don't usually heat up expect you are actively running heavy tasks on them.

neyosea25:
Do you use the Indian version and is this version 12 gb ram? Thanks very much.

US Version 1 SIM

neyosea25:
Which is better between OnePlus 9pro and pixel 6pro in terms overall performance? And is op9pro dual sim?

I used both and currently using the 9pro, Pixel 6pro beats it hands down in the camera dept a slightly better battery life, SOC is stronger on 9pro's side, however the OS on both depends. 9pro for customisation Pixel for Simple, but pixel OS is fully supported, 9pro just got A14.
Based on dual SIM, it depends on the 9pro you get, American version is 1 SIM, India is 2 SIM

I replied you on the other thread. You just have to change address and that's it

Remove it. Take it to the new location, then change address and enjoy

I told one of their rep that we can't call them to resolve issues but they can call us to renew, I advised them to change to ISP provider. Since I got my Starlink I no dey sub for DSTV again

Dam5reey:
This is kind of service level you dont get from Naija ISPs...
this is the international standards we are missing in this country.

It's a pity. Them go first delay reply which after their reply then arguments go come start.

lexyman:
what is the price of star link in Nigeria market
now ?

The site charges less than 420k but our fellow Nigerians they charge up to 1m. I Taya ooo

I just complained to customer care regarding wi-fi issue saying some of my devices could not connect to 5ghz despite having the technology. Na so them send me new router and cable, then sorry for disturbance free 1 Month subscription. Walai Starlink dey try

maik99:
Smartphone cams are now at a point where every flagship takes world class photos sha
So the pixel shouldn’t be missed much

Na Confirm gbese be that 8pro if that is true. Not being able to use 5g and VoLTE was one of the reason I returned to Oneplus as my main phone. But if Doller don vex finish Na to buy 7pro because the camera is second to none. That Oneplus 11pro sef dey enter my eye.

I just successfully paid for mine now, after trying repeatedly for over 2 weeks. Let me drop some helpful tips and what I tried eventually

1. I think all cards works, whether Naira or Dollar, I tried Zenith Master, Access Visa (Virtual), GT master, etc.. They will all work depending on the timing I think and maybe, Luck. So no need paying in dollar, you'd cheat yourself.

2. I used the map to locate my apartment and also edited the shipping address in addition to the coordinates. So I had the coordinates and also my full address when I was done.

3. They would show that they will only debit 32,000 and eventually debit the rest, but make sure you have at least 400k in the bank account/card you're trying to pay from because they debited everything once from my account but on my order/starlink account, they showed the 32,000 on my account. So have the account fully funded.

4. IMPORTANT: Use your browsers incognito mode while trying to place the order. Only incognito mode

FYI. ordered from Abuja. (Don't think it really matters though)

I hope this helps somebody...

All the best...

And I can't comprehend why some people still want to sell this at over a million, is there something we're missing?

Nobody can avoid when it is inevitable

People that avoid Wahala the most are those that have tasted original jail time

Reason why you just avoid some silly situation, because you don't know which can land you in Jail. A mentor once told me that eating Garri every day is better than your freedom taken away from you, especially in a country where human right means almost nothing.

1 million Naira has the value of 650k of last year. So it depends on how you plan your occasion

Thank you but there isn't a video, I tried to speak to the engineer who came to install the stock router but he had no idea what I was talking about.

HAAAA. That's sounds very funny. Try to connect it and see if it's going to work because I suppose it should

Does anyone have an idea about this? I am in the process of changing the existing router for my fibre one broadband. I would like to change the stock router that came with my fibre, one broadband to a Google Wi-Fi mesh router due to several reasons such as ease of use and extra features. The reason I am asking is because in the past I have found out the hard way but don't all isps support third-party routers example BT broadband in the UK.

Try contact them so you don't end us messing up your set up or wasting money.

Big Man business. Nice one

When you get hold of these burglars, Police won't even take them. I don't understand why

We all know the system was flawed, but everyone has to move on. May the current Nigeria never happen to anyone
