This is pure BS - One reason to love a Nigerian man, what are we the last of the pile? Quite simply we are just like anyother man from anyother race/country with the same beating hearts!

@Ghengis, I dated 2 Nigerian men in the past. I blame my "prejudice" on 2 bad experiences. 2 experiences too many. Sorry, can't blame anyone for how I feel about Nigerian men. About the Kenyans etc,  I don't know. I can only speak of what I know. Since the topic is about Nigerian men, you know where I stand. Clearly, I am not the only one who posted those negative sentiments.

Just because u had 2 bad previous experiences is no reason that u should paint all Nigerian men with the same bad brush! For all we know they might say u the one with the issues in the relationships.
I'm sure u've dated other nationalities - Have u written them off too? (Doubt it).
You simply have an element of prejudism inbedded in you and thats what u need to address - maybe it has to do with yo friends and those around u!

Soz - but 2 years is a damn longtime not to buy anything for yo girl! - Even if he was broke he can make or barter sumthin.
I wouldn't do that and yes i do buy my girl things not only for b'days, vals n Xmas but also off-the-cuff.
If i see soething that i know she would like, i would like on her or that we can both enjoy - it's really not an issue and vice-versa.
