Please work hard today for your future.

Hard work pays.
Initially, hard work may yield results, but it's smart work and innovative ideas that truly bring greater rewards. I recall earning a modest salary of 45,000 naira per month, but those days are behind me. After discovering ways to generate income without direct labor, I've found immense satisfaction and happiness.

Politics › Re: Four Soldiers Killed As Boko Haram Attacks Military Base In Yobe by ibechris(m): 9:21am On May 04, 2025
There is no point being a soldier in this country.

There is an igbo guy in my village, both of us started building our houses almost at the same time, after few months the guy stopped and I was surprised due to the way speed at which he was building his village house.
As I enquired further from some of the guys whom we used to see at that his site,I was told the guy died in Maiduguri fighting bokoharam.

I no fit talk again.

The rate at which our men are dying just to defend a country like Nigeria is shocking.

After this hard and ferocious fight and capturing of these bokoharam men and women, they will still release them all...thereby making this fight unending.

simpleseyi:
These people and money shaaa
U want to make it a tribal thing.

Storage of food started long ago and it is pronounced in the north and it is the biggest business in the country today.

I have beans that I cant finish in the next one and half year in my house here in Abuja.
Last year,an Edo woman in beans market Nasarawa state stored beans worth one hundred million naira and the hausa boy who connected her to the market in Kaduna state bought a latest iphone.

There is one Sherif on nairaland here,he is the major supplier of most agricultural produce from both the west, east and south and south. He is even the one advising them which product to store and not to store due to its demand and supply chains and many other factors.

So,it shouldn't be a tribal thing but an economic factors...didn't u read economics in school. When the system is porous,it opens up room for hoarders, racketeers and all sorts.

Finally,it is a Nigerian thing.

Workers day no salary and no wage award.

Lie lie govt.

All civil servants should be smart, start a side hustle.

U can see how bad this economy is,with all the money they make, paying salary is now another hard work.

Left for them, there is no reason paying u guys salary, smart up and start something for yourself.

It would be hard for u guys to be the middle class catehory with the way Nigeria is going now.

Food › Re: Titus: How Did This Fish Move From 400 Naira To 4000 Naira Per Kilo? by ibechris(m): 10:40am On Apr 30, 2025
kokoA:
Let's tell ourselves the truth, we have been having a cosmetic economy before Tinubu, though I still don't completely agree with some of his policies and the inhumane posture of his administration but what we have now is the true reflection of how bad our economy was/is, the true value of our naira is what we have now and for a country like ours that depends 90 percent on importation except you want to be mischievous you'd agree with me that commodity prices will skyrocket as local currency loose value. What we should focus on his how to turn things around in the shortest possible time which I've not really seen any clear plan this government has to do so.
It does not matter whether u depend on importation or not.
kuwait is an import dependent nation yet it holds the strongest currency on earth. Switzerland the same and many other nations, same with Benin Republic, Ivory Coast too.

But why is Nigeria different, the answer is,whatever u produce in Nigeria must always be higher than the imported ones while the import ones would be better in quality than the locally produced ones.

Another is cost of production and bad govt policies. How can local rice be more expensive than the imported ones?
