APC is not even democratic by nature. There is no dissent within it to the ways and means the government operates just like the Buhari regime.

The purpose of having strong, viable multi-parties on the ballot is essentially to oppose the President and his policies because the institutions of government are presently dysfunctional.

What well meaning Nigerians want is alternative views, ideas and actions to the myriad of problems facing this country. A lot of people feel there are better ways to run this country and want options to choose from.

If that is not possible then they want a body of size and clout noticable enough to impact on government and it's views, policies and actions. They want the democratic process to be viable enough put the kind of pressure on government to make them honest.

That is the only way democracy works for the good of a country.

Presently there are no debates on reforms for better security. People are dying enmasse by the week.
Presently there are no debates in the economy. People are getting squeezed into alarming poverty everyday. We need political alternatives. It goes beyond elections.

The security of our villages, towns, local government, states and country is our collective responsibility. The federal government and the security agencies cannot be present across every community throughout the country at the same time. It’s absolutely impossible, especially in a country like Nigeria where most people can’t or won’t think.
