Love800: First, they should scrap this style of government. Turn it to a balance one when states use their own resource and money to develop their land. Nothing like federal. The federal will just be the police overseeing everything. 😀I think you’re beginning to see how complex the country is. Download the Nigerian constitution and read it from end to end, you will understand the country even better. And you will stop making simplistic comments about governance and the government. |

Love800: Amenities- roads, water, energy, housing, drainages(urban planning), waste disposals, eco-system, surveillance, security.
Incentives(hand-outs)- accessible loans, palliatives, support, equipments/facilities, subsidy.
Why do we have to borrow, when we can create products/markets! Come to delta state, you will see alot of manufacturing companies(local and foreign) which has been abandoned in the '90s because of reckless taxes! Fantastic!! Let’s start with the amenities. Where do we provide these amenities- bearing in mind there are 36 states and an FCT? 6 geopolitical zones, 3 dominant tribes. Within what timeframe? And at what cost? And where is the funding coming from? Your thoughts please. 🙏🙏🙏 |

Love800: Once you support the private sector with a good environment(amenities) and incentives(hand-outs), no need of controlling price again, because traders will not feel pressured to increase unnecessary price. And they most be monitoring of the economy(prices/goods). Tax must be reduced to the lowest minimum at this stage. When the economy kicks-off with good income and salary, you can tax.
Why won't you ask for the budget to reduce! What then is reform? I am really enjoying this dialogue. I just you are too. When you say amenities and hand-outs, those words mean different things to different people. This is why you need to be specific instead of using summary words. What do you (YOU) mean by amenities and hand outs - please break it down. I am not trying to win an argument with you, I am just trying to make you realise the challenges our government go through and the limitations they face. The limitations are very severe and they have to borrow money every year. The betrayal is that the live an opulent lifestyle on the public purse and they collude with contractors to overinflate public contracts (corruption). |

Love800: Support the private sector to grow and provide a conducive environment together with incentives. Control the price of goods so as our money can buy commodities. The profits for the government will come from the taxes of a good Gdp per capita of a good economy
Of course you and i know dat the presidency must cut its expenses and senates paid part-time. This is just the surface level. Many deeper reforms remains at the background. The president doesn’t have the powers to do the emboldened. The president can institute price control policies but he can’t force sellers/traders to sell their goods at control prices. He’ll need to go to court for that. Traders can cripple the economy in retaliation. Explain what you mean by “support the private sector”. What is conducive environment with incentives- you have to break it down. It’s just a general meaningless statement. As per president cutting expenses, you also have to be specific. What is the current cost and to cut it down to what amount? Usually if you assume an office you don’t ask for the budget to be reduced. Your adviser will advise against doing that. Have you ever managed an office or a team? RIP to the departed 🙏 |

No money in the government. Lazy leaders! Ok, if we say they are lazy leaders. What would you do to increase FG revenue? Be honest. What policies would you change? |

Love800: But the government must have a say in our life in one way or the other, even if you try much. Bad policies must affect your business or job. If I challenge you to itemise (prepare a list) of the government policies you describe as “bad policies” , can you prepare such a list? Ok go right ahead. You think you are smarter than the people we elected, you think they are stupid and can’t differentiate between good and bad policies? Is that what you think? The government is heavily constrained by lack of money. If your child ask you, daddy why don’t we move to Banana Island, what would you tell him? |

The FG cannot do even 1/10th of people’s expectations. We don’t have the means. To reduce hunger and suffering let’s reduce our birth rate. That is something the suffering masses can control. And btw the world is full already. |

Kidoi123: there is no country without the poor, and you don't know the fate of anyone! Our own is too high and it’s detrimental to the people, society and the country. Why keep multiplying if you don’t have the financial resources (not natural resources) to give them a sound footing in life? |

See me see trouble 😂 35 and counting, 5 continents… Russia and Argentina next. Poverty would remain with us (not me personally) for eternity if this no brainer child bearing culture is no curbed. The country is too poor at the moment, we don’t have the means to carry the current population. The only resources we have are people and land, but most of our people don’t use their brain. We can’t convert the resources in the ground into cash……without external help and costs 🤷🏾♀️ I repeat, we are a poor country. Think about it before you bring a child here to suffer. |

valuedammy: Nigeria has happened to them. RIP to the lost souls.
This is what we keep saying to those mocking Sowore with the way he has been fighting to have a better Nigeria. Some of you always think that because you are working under the Government or because the corrupt system in the Country favours you now then you are free, it's a lie, one way or the other Nigeria will happen to you one day.
It is either the bad roads end your life, Poor health system affect you in the Hospital, the insecuitry in the country affects you in your house and on the road or the injustice in the country affects you.
Let us join hands together with the activist we have in the Country to fight all these corrupt Politicians we have in power, the Country and her Citizens have suffered too much in their hands. The country (250m plus people) has a gross annual budget of only $50b but here you are, you citizens expect heaven and earth from the government. We have to borrow every year to meet government spending targets with minimal funding of capital expenditure. Do you really think public protest can change this dynamics? After protests then what? Please call Nepal and ask them how far? We need to produce the things we like to consume and for export. Or we reduce our birth rate significantly to reduce the shout of hunger hunger! RIP to the departed |

chatinent: Before my condolences, I hope he's not part of the APC crew weaponzing poverty in Nigeria and who think they'll live forever? This weaponised poverty mantra you people are spreading. Have you asked your parents why the brought you here knowing they are wretched and poverty will hammer you? This is the question many Nigerians need to ask their parents before they embark on public protests. As I speak many wretched pregnant women are walking our streets and we already know the fate of those children 😥. |

The 60 years where he never had any issue or tried to scuttle the efforts to remove the same subsidy he quickly removed last 2 years?!!
...Or are you saying your President didn't have sense all those years he was working against Jonathan?!! jaxxy: Why didn't u say that Buhari and Jonathan? but when it's ur brother or tribe u excuses every nonsense they do and call them a great president?
I have listed a fee of the characteristics that follow this government that will guarantee their failure and u are here trying to blame Nigerians for the actions of a daft, arrogant and corrupt president?
When it was Jonathan I told it as it is, he was docile and corrupt even tho I voted for him in 2011.
I did same for Buhari even tho I voted for him in 2015. And I am telling u tinubu is equally following same path of failure not because of hate but by hos actions and choices in government and governance leading up to today. People who have never been a common local government councillor will be criticising the president of Nigeria. Go and ask your councillor why are your local roads so bad and nothing is being done - perhaps you might learn what budgetary limitations mean. Why ain’t you all living in VI or Banana Island? Because you don’t have the money. Nigeria is a cash strapped poor country with unproductive ignorant citizens who believe (pathetically) the government has a solution to all problems. SMDH in disgust!!! |

jaxxy: Tinubu is a great president? I doubt that but I can agree with only if we are comparing him to buhari. Asides that tinubu is a failure of a president by way of the incompetence, nepotism, lack of transparency and massive corruption.
He has done a few hood things but some are not completed yet for the effects to be felt and may never be completed due to corruption or nepotism.
His major policies are causing Nigerians unbearable pains. People are too emotional and daft in my country. Governments have limitations. The president doesn’t have unlimited powers. The country doesn’t have unlimited amount of money especially dollars since the 250m dead brains don’t produce anything but have taste for the most expensive imported junks. The country is full of critics who have never managed anything successfully in their lives. Not understanding that our mentality and orientation are serious obstacles to governance. Good citizens make good governance inevitable. Let’s GTFOH |
