Family / Re: My Skin Crawls When My Husband Touches Me (help!) by ibnew: 4:15pm On May 03, 2013
This a complicated issue. It require the understanding of both of you to pull through. It might not do you good if you see him as bad and wicked. You may never be able to love him again. Try to find the root cause. He may also be thinking you are wicked. Some people say " ha because of sex. Is life all about sex bla bla ........". Truth is sex cause more problems in our relationship than we admit.
The women are not doing a good job in carrying us along in their emotional journey during their child raising stage. Most men don't understand why my sizzling babe will be avoiding me. Women react to pregnancy differently. Some carry on as if nothing is wrong while for some they become ill till they deliver. The husband has to understand his wife and respect her that way. She did not choose to be that way. I have been through this. I also cheated then. I know better now. The man might not understand the sudden loss of interest.please talk to your man. Tell him how you feel. We talked and we settled.
Please forgive him. Both of you should have heart to heart talk. If he loves you, he should understand and control his drive for the sake of the family. Though finance is important but please play down on who earns more or less at this time. Remember no marraiage is without hitches.

Family / Re: Divorce - Why Cant Women Say "I M Sorry"? by ibnew: 9:02am On Apr 26, 2013
@OP... First of all, you did not give out your story straight. You made people guessing through different angles. You might not get the right feedback or responds. Secondly, you said you did not come for advice but that you had already made up your mind. My advice/comment will be hold on for a while.
Let me start by saying that you might not be the first with this issue. I think they all did not separate because of the issue. There is no marriage with out issues. Even though no marriage is same. Am not going to sweet talk you into keeping your marriage but i will just share somethings with you and the rest is yours. There are different types of women out there and they change par situations.
Let me give a little bit of my self. Been married for 13yrs. I will say I married the best woman on earth. I thought I understood her. It started first with my family. I will agree their reception of my wife was not the best. I stayed on the side of my wife giving her all the assurance. over time, she developed this idea that she is hated and even added me to it. It became difficult agreeing on anything even as simple as putting on the fan or not. I was shocked. I tried to douse the tension to no avail. even when we agree to hold on babies, she decided to have it without further discussion. My kind of job that kept me out of home most of the time did not help matters. I even started to think why did I marry this woman. There was a time i even left the home.
We sat down and stated real communication.I realize we were just talking without communicating like somebody said. Start talking without blame, acting and showing her that I don't hate her. I realize that what she needed was double re-assurance. I made her know that we are partners and we need to share our thoughts, fears, doubts, and strength. We need to respect our weakness and don't use them as weapons against one another. Showing of all kind of love without real in-depth talking and sharing the moment does not hold much water for most women
I don't know the level of real communication with your wife. It is a very vital tool. please use it. You need to get somebody to get her family off her so she can concentrate on her marriage. They've had their time. They should leave you both to put the pieces together once again. see if you can get somebody elderly to talk to her parents. Unless they do not want the marriage to work and they do not care about their grand children.
I wish you good luck bro.

Business / Re: Rich Nigerians: Why Are You Not Patronizing Tinapa? by ibnew: 6:01pm On Jul 01, 2011
@ alj harem, apache77 and Eko ile - have done justice to this topic. Well done. I wonder why despite the abundant human resources that the world over claim Nigeria has, we still have cases like this.

I think it was good for a govt to have a dream and then source for funds to make it come true. But I think in Nigeria in most cases whether south east north or west we do not see initial planning, detailed feasibility studies and all round economies of the project as a key determining factor of the success.

I believe if knowledgeable people in these  areas are gathered as project teams for this projects, Tinapa and so many other project scattered all over the nation will not be failures.

Nigeria need to locate businesses based on economies and not politics, involve the right people and just party members. Even my secondary school economics say factors that affect location are, nearness to raw materials, market, good roads, power and availability of labour etc. I no bi economist o!

I pray GOD to wake us up one day so that we will be able to do things right.
Religion / Re: Is the gospel free or costly? . How Do You See It? by ibnew: 12:11am On Jun 30, 2011
I think the question is a good one based on the happenings around us. Pls let us stop the insults and discuss the issues.

First of all, I agree that preaching the gospel now require funds. If you don't give, somebody else gave to move the work of GOD to the level we see. Then again like it has been said, the way and manner this money is being generated now leaves a lot to be questioned.
They key into verses of the Bible that are not fully explained, might not relate to the current event, coax and manipulate, threaten sometimes with the wrath of GOD because according to them you are holding GOD's money.
People are told that they are not blessed because they don't know how to give.
A man approach a man of GOD for prayers the next question is are you a financial member of the church. There are cases where you are made to pay money before you see a man of GOD.
My cousin wouldn't go to his pastors house because it is expected that you give a gift each time you go there.

With due respect to all genuine men of GOD here, a lot of things happen and Churches have designed different kind of doctrines. For the fact you don't do it does not mean others don't.
I personal think it is good to give according to how you are led to the work of GOD and humanity and not according one man say and one scripture didn't say.

Politics / Re: We’ll Stop Ibb At All Costs, Says Falana ! by ibnew: 6:29am On Sep 08, 2010
I read this thread with pain in my heart and tears in my eyes. At this stage and in this era, we are still battling with which tribe. It is a pity. Am not here to support anybody but to share some reasoning. Which tribe is Obama in US - minority or Majority. I know we are way way behind to start squaring shoulders with US. Shall we continue to wallow in ignorant while the world around us is leaving us behind at a very fast pace. Did we remember that when the north supported and packaged OBJ, he had challenges with acceptance by his own people. This very man and Chief Gani said he is not to be trusted. This was what lead Gani into registering a party.
Like somebody said, it is amazing that those who have access to information on-line that are supposed to be fronting for a better Nigeria through great leadership are still neck did in tribal, ethnic, religious and other myopic reasoning. It is a pity that even the younger generation do not care about what happens to this great nation of ours.
When I join Nairaland, I thought I had found a place where realistic ideas will be shared, knowledgable people with information will be discussing based on current happening round the world compared to where we are.
So much wrong has been done in this nation. Let us for once put all this discrimination aside and support the leader (no matter where he's from) that will move us forward. We are tired of NO POWER, NO GOOD ROADS, NO JOBS FOR THE TEAMING YOUTH, NO HEALTH FOR THE COMMON MAN, NO WATER FOR THE COMMON MAN, COLLAPSING EDUCATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE, CONSTANT INCREASE IN PRICE OF PETROL, JUMBO PACKAGED FOR LEGISLATOR BUT PEANUTS FOR WORKING MASSES. HIGH RATE OF CRIME AND ETC ETC ETC ETC
