It has a great following from a lot of countries, mostly in South America and Southern Europe. But it's really not as travelled as most of the best series of the last decade.

The show was a bomb, a mega hit. An international success. It was a household name for several countries, even Nigeria. I can remember some finalist of FUTA donning the money heist costume last year, even a university from eastern side does the same. A show that was rated 8.6 on rotten tomatoes, 8.5 on IMDB, 8.5 on rating graph based on hundreds of thousands of voters.
Sure, there are weak links in the series buh its very forgivable. Fact is there are several persons here with an artificially inflated sense of TV series superiority who just dish out trash on this thread, their feeble attempt to condescend the show doesn't resonate with me or any rational mind.

I am not a huge fan of series, I started my series journey with Smallville and Prison Break season 1 and 2. Even after watching 24, I swore that Prison Break would be in my top 5 no matter what. That was how much I loved the series. All that changed when the producers ruined it with watered down and dumb storyline in other seasons. The producers were keen on making more money but it forever ruined all the glory and effort of season 1.


Right now, Prison Break won't be in top 20 series of any credible site coz of dumb scripting. You won't understand the effect the dumb and unwanted plots are having on the rep of La Casa de Papel until 10 years from now when solid Spanish series are out there and nobody would be mentioning Money Heist in their top 5 Spanish TV shows.
